Last review

After further communication, I have been informed that I must pay approximately €485 as a penalty following the cancellation of my order.

This outcome is extremely disappointing, as during the sales process I was clearly told by the salesperson that I could take time to check the measurements at home and cancel the order if the sofa did not fit. I made my decision based on this information.

However, I am now being told that only the written contract is valid, and that the information provided by the salesperson is not taken into account. This creates a situation where the customer is held responsible despite relying on incorrect or misleading information during the sale.

No goods have been delivered and no work has been carried out (delivery time: 20–24 weeks), yet I am still being charged this amount.

I consider this to be a very poor and unfair customer experience, and I am sharing this review so others are aware of how such situations are handled

Omdat het om een maatwerkorder met levertijd gaat, hebben wij helaas geen retourbeleid of bedenktijd.

Wrong product sent - have no timelines and do not care about customers.

- Please only order here if you are ready to "Wait forever and ready for any mistakes to happen because they hardly care customer satisfaction"
- We ordered a sofa bed and we got wrong item (just a sofa).
- We complained on it and they said they will order new one and send temporary sofa till the new one arrives.
- The temporary sofa that is sent is so pathetic that we stopped using that in 2 days.
- I followed up with them multiple times and they always said they ordered sofa on Jan 4th and expected delivery takes max 6- 12 weeks.
- I have called them again to check the status, they suddenly realized they didn't even ordered that and sent email that it will take 17-18 weeks.
- When called again they are not even accepting that something has gone wrong. Instead trying to pretend as if everything is going smooth by giving misleading calculations.
- When asked right questions they just said - "It will be ONLY delivered when it is ready and just disconnected my call rudely". So they do not stick to any timelines and do not care about customers.

A+++ VERY HAPPY

A+++ VERY HAPPY! I am an American who just moved to the Netherlands and needed a couch!! I have been looking for weeks and then finally made an appointment at S&S! I’m so impressed with the staff and the quality of the sofas. The selection was excellent and Mario, the salesman, was THE BEST. He was patient with me and so very helpful!! Highly recommend!!

Unbelievably bad service

After my bad review, they asked me to send in a complaints form..for the 4th time.
And since then....nothing heard. I have now filled in 4 complain forms, sent emails, telephoned,,,,and still I havent revceived the 25cent worth plastic foot cover.
This is really unbelievable....im not even angry,,,just stunned at the service level...

Had terrible experience with Seats and Sofas.

I got my sofa delivered on 19/07/2025 with a surprise of broken bed part and a torn armrest. When informed seats and sofas about the damage, I was told I had to wait till service day which is on 18 Aug and I kept waiting. And today is 1st Sep and still I don't have a single update about the date when the broken parts are going to be delivered. And I have sent a lot of mails and I got no response of any of them. Its a biggest mistake I made purchase at Seats & Sofas and this will be my first and last time buying anything from there. The way they are handling the after sale issues and waiting timelines is very frustrating.

I see you are a posting a generic reply to every review to reach out via the email addrress of the branch. So to verify if you are really reading the review... I already sent 3 mails since the sofa got delivered with all the details you are pretending to collect and I shared my order number in this same form, with which you can fetch all my details including the phone number. So if you reallying looking into customer satisfaction, reach out to me directly via email/phone instead of posting generic reply to this review.

No after sales service

I collected 4 items of furniture last year from the Amersfoort store. One of the sofas metal leg had the tiny plastic covering for protecting the floor missing.
Unbelievably, i have made numerous telephone calls, filled in 2 complaint forms, written E mails...no response. My latest E mail months ago just asked them to put the tiny plastic cover in an envelope and post to my home. This missing part is about 2cm and probably costs 50 cents, yet i have now spent many many hours trying to resolve this. What a shame, because the sofas are super but the service is bad. I wont recommend Seats and Sofas in the future.

For a second time I've decide to to go to seats & sofas to search for a new couch for my salon, as expected I've find exactly what I was searching for and quality of service in their store in Amersfoort definitely deserves 5 stars. 3.5 years ago we purchased sofa from the same store and were very satisfied with price quality and everything. Avoid This Store – Deceptive Pricing & Terrible Customer Service!

Avoid This Store – Deceptive Pricing & Terrible Customer Service!

🚨 Before buying from this store, look them up and read the news. They have been fined €350,000 for misleading customers. Don’t become their next victim!

Timeline of the Scam:

December 1, 2024 – I visited the store and spent 3 hours selecting a sofa. I checked the color, size, storage, and sofa bed functionality. I measured the sofa, opened the storage compartment, and tested the sofa bed. I assumed I was ordering what I saw in the store.

However, the salesperson Senna failed to mention that the model she put in the contract did NOT include the storage and sofa bed. I signed the contract in good faith after validating the model name, configuration and number of seats.

🚨 Price Manipulation Alert:

The store does not have fixed prices. They keep a notebook with different prices for the same model.

The initial price shown to me was around €3,000.

After negotiating, they suddenly dropped the price to €1,700.

Ultimately, I paid €1,845 (€1,700 + €145 delivery) – only to receive the wrong product.

January 31, 2025 – The sofa was delivered, and to my shock, it was NOT what I had ordered. The storage and sofa bed were missing.

I immediately contacted the store, but they refused to help, saying it’s “not their department.”

I lodged an official complaint on their website – NO response.

February 1, 2025 – I called the store again. They blamed me, saying:

“You signed the contract, it’s your mistake.”

“We can’t help you.”

“You can take legal action if you want, we don’t care.” (I have the recording.)

February 6, 2025 – I visited the store to escalate the issue. A store employee admitted Senna may have made a mistake while placing the order, and said I might get a replacement sofa if headquarters approves. (I have the recording.)

February 7, 2025 – I had a call with Senna, the salesperson.

When I asked her to connect me to her manager, she refused.

When I asked her for a callback with her manager, she refused again, saying:

“My manager is not available.”

“We won’t be helping you anymore.” (I have the recording.)

Why You Should Avoid This Store:

❌ They manipulate prices with a secret notebook – charging whatever they want.
❌ They show you one thing in-store but make you sign for another.
❌ The salesperson, Senna, was polite before the sale but refused to help afterward.
❌ They take no accountability for their mistakes and blame customers instead.
❌ Even after visiting the store and calling multiple times, they refused to help or escalate the issue.

Don’t Get Tricked Like I Did!

I have recordings of all my discussions with the store proving their dishonest and unhelpful behavior. Due to legal reasons, I cannot publish them publicly, but if you contact me personally, I’m happy to share them.

📢 If you don’t have legal insurance, AVOID THIS STORE! I am already working with my legal team to take further action.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. I bought a sofa in April 2023 at the store in Almere, I only received it in July. This year the chaise longue was damaged, I had to pay to have it collected from my home and they returned the sofa to me the same way, I complained again and it took months for them to collect the sofa again in October, it's December and I still don't have a sofa. I went back to the store in Almere last Saturday to ask for a refund, and they didn't do it... either I waited another 3 months for a sofa or I chose one available in the store. I ended up choosing a sofa they had in the store, even though I didn't like it, with the promise that they would deliver it this week and so far nothing, they keep stalling. The only thing I wanted was my money back and not to have anything to do with this company! That's why I don't recommend them, the quality of service is terrible and after-sales. Go to IKEA instead, where the quality, service and price are better.

Plenty of options at decent prices, helpful staff

We visited the Amersfoort store to buy a new couch. There were plenty of options to choose from, the staff was also helpful.
We haven’t got the delivery yet but are quite optimistic.
The only thing that I think can be improved is the delivery time rest all is fine.

No service

Ordered the couch from the stock, it was important for us. The price was acceptable, the couch looks nice. First of all, at the store we were told that the delivery would be 80 euro, but it turned out to be 130 and we were asked to pay cash (just a little extra info). The problem is in the couch quality and the service. The couch can be transformed into a bed, but the levels of different parts are different and also there is a gap, so sleeping on such couch is not comfortable at all. It's not critical for us, but it shows the quality. Also the stuffing on one handle was not done properly and it is very annoying and doesn't look good. I contacted the company about this, they asked for photos that I sent them. After that I was told that they would examin the photos and get back to me. Haven't heard from them since and it's been more than a month. So the quality of couches (ours was 1700 euro with all their "discounts") is poor and there is no service or actual warranty. But at the same time I was asked to write a review twice ("you still haven't done it, please leave a review").So, I'm doing it now.
I really doubt that I ever go to this store again and the second couch we are going to buy we will definitely get somewhere else. The worst service I have ever had to be honest.

More than 1,5 years waiting…./ Al meer dan 1,5 jaar aan het wachten

I ordered a couch in 15 April 2022! And until the day of now it’s still not completely solved and assembled.
First I had to wait for half a year because of your bulk order to the USA. Then when it arrived there was an error with the parts of the couch so I had to wait another half a year. After they came they realized some errors were still made in the parts and that this would be fixed by an external company arranged by you. But nothing happened. I had to call myself and chase up the problem several times. Several times you told me it would be solved and the last two times you told me errors were made at the head office. Now more then 1,5 years later the problem is still not solved and you are giving me standard responses and waiting times. No urgent repairs. No compensation, no proper costumer service. I asked you to make a complaint towards the head office and to find a proper solution to compensate for being the victim of all the errors. I was told the complaint couldn’t be done by the person over the phone but had to be sent separately. The result was that I received a standard email with the same waiting time and no compensation to satisfy the customer. (Probably the complaint was never sent through to the head office)
The customer service is friendly every time but completely poor and useless.
Waiting for more than 1,5 years and still no urgency or anything else to make me happier.
It’s been extremely sad and bad.

Uw reactie is onbetrouwbaar en daarmee wordt het belachelijk. U komt uw belofte niet na. U heeft tot op heden niet gebeld. Tot op heden is de bank nog niet in orde En tot op heden is er geen vergoeding aangeboden omdat u zegt dat de haken op tijd binnen waren. Wellicht is dat waar. Maar als u er maanden over doet om ze te laten installeren dan heeft een klant daar niets aan.

Zeer slechte ervaring

Wat aanvankelijk een heel goeie ervaring was, werd een heel dure les voor ons.
Op 21 mei 2023 hebben wij een hoekbank bij Seats and Sofas Amersfoort besteld.Wij werden toen verzekerd (op papier) dat de levertijd tussen 6 tot 10 weken zou zijn. Heel vriendelijke dienst, maar dat was het einde. Bij thuiskomst zagen we op de koopovereenkomst dat de levertijd was gewijzigd van de handgeschreven bevestiging door de verkoper, naar tussen de 13 en 24 weken. Mijn man ging een dag later terug en werd verzekerd dat de bestelling al doorgegeven was aan de leverancier en dat het daarom heel snel zou gaan. Ik werd twee dagen later gebeld omdat ik mijn bestelling optie nog moest aangeven. Dat heb ik al gedaan en toen wist ik ook dat nog niets doorgegeven was aan de leverancier. Ik heb de manager gebeld, ook aangezien de levermethode anders was dan afgesproken. Zijn excuus was dat hij niet 7 dagen in de week kan werken en mijn man heeft de service manager gesproken. Ook dat wat op het contract staat bindend is en dat wij niet ons deposito konden terugkrijgen, aangezien kosten al aangegaan was.

Ik heb contact met de juridische loket opgenomen en op advies een brief verstuurd dat ik graag van de koop wou af. Als ik vooraf wist wat de echte situatie was, had ik dit product niet gekocht.
Nu krijg ik geen terugvoer van Seats and Sofas?

On May 21, 2023 we ordered a corner sofa from Seats and Sofas Amersfoort. We were then assured (on paper) that the delivery time would be between 6 to 10 weeks. Very friendly service, but that was the end. When we got home, we saw on the purchase agreement that the delivery time was changed from the hand written confirmation by the sales person, to between 13 and 24 weeks. My husband went back a day later and was assured that the order had already been passed on to the supplier and that it would therefore go very quickly. I was called two days later because I still had to indicate my order option. I already did that and then I also knew that nothing had been passed on to the supplier yet. I called the manager, also because the delivery method was different than agreed. His excuse was that he cannot work 7 days a week and my husband spoke to the service manager. Also that what is on the contract is binding and that we could not get our deposit back, as costs had already been incurred.

I contacted the legal counter and sent a letter on advice that I would like to cancel the purchase. If I knew in advance what the real situation was, I would not have bought this product.
Now I don't get a response from Seats and Sofas?
