I ordered a cd and a record via Bandcamp. I immediately followed up with a message requesting a Saturday delivery, and asked if they could ship the items together as the shipping costs exceeded the cost of the actual items. My message was completely ignored. I received the record but, having just been notified that the cd has been delivered, it is nowhere to be found, so obviously someone has taken it before I got home from work, which is EXACTLY why I requested a Saturday delivery!!! SoM clearly don't care about their customers, all they care about is taking your money. Absolutely disgusting attitude for a supposedly 'underground' record label. Never again.

As per " selling rules and conditions" they state all prices include VAT ( French VAT duties).
I ordered a few items from their shop, its value around €193. Once the shipment arrived in the UK which is no longer an EU country I have to pay British VAT because the declared customs value of the goods is in excess of £135.

I contacted their customer support asking them to find a way to reimburse the French ( EU) VAT for exported outside EU goods either by reimbursement to my bank account or to transfer it as credit for a future order.
I added the exact same items and chose as a destination another country in the EU. The total remained the same meaning there was no change in the VAT duty for intra EU export.
Their customer support claims they do not charge VAT neither to the 27 EU countries nor to the ones outside EU, but if the fiscal authorities of countries outside EU claim VAT duties upon shipment's arrival, it's their choice to do so.
Very curious, you have a shop you sell goods so you have a commercial activity but you don't charge VAT to anyone ...??
How is that legal and in the spirit of the "legality" you claim in your selling conditions when you claim in your selling rules and conditions that it is illegal to declare a lower value customs value but you claim you conduct a commercial activity and you don't pay VAT or you claim your customers do not pay VAT.

For the exported outside EU orders they probably keep the 20% VAT duty as additional interest for their business.

If you reside outside EU avoid this shop, in spite of the great bands they signed in the recent years the way they understand to make profit is ....

The best packed vinyls that i received, it had 4 plastic corners inside and a good size box, fast shipment and very good customer service, ím very happy and i´ll buy again for sure, thanks to Raph and Season of Mist.

Placed an order for 3x Lifelover LP’s
Prices were amazing, delivery took a little over 3 weeks but that’s to be expected when ordering overseas. Items were received and packaged well. will definitely be ordering from this website again

First order was a pleasant surprise. Picked 8 cd's for an attractive price and affordable shipment cost. No automatic payment but a request to make a payment. Then conformed and shipped. Arrived within a few days and exactly at the moment promised. Well packed with a small bonus and a discount for next order. A very pleasant surprise.

Got everything I ordered in perfect condition, shipping 5 days to Europe via UPS. Will order again because they have some interesting selection of bands whose CDs I didn’ t find anywhere else.

I wanted to cancel my order and got an answer within 3 days (only 1 business day) saying it's no problem and my order will be cancelled and money returned also great quality and very good prices

The accidently sent me the wrong T-shirt. When I told them, they were incredibly polite and sent me the correct one right away. I would gladly buy from them again.

I ordered a print on demand women's v-neck tshirt and it arrived very quicky, good fabric and awsome design. I'll order stuff from them ( french store) again.

Great record label and webshop, also fast international delivery. I used the international webshop for vinyls and shirts.

Do not trust this company. The owner of this company is a liar.

He signed off his packaging and then when it arrived damaged he lied to ebay to get a refund. He is a disgrace.

Ordering from Australia, Ordered a hard to find LP. Item arrived very quickly all things considered, and well packaged. Great stuff.

I do not leave many store reviews but on this occasion i have to.

Serivice was amazing, orderd 2 pretty hard to find LP`s and both arrived in mint conditon and within 3 days from France to the UK
I also talked with customer services to make sure they were in stock first and they gave perfect information, i will certainly use again.

Good prices. The CDs were in good condition.

First time buying here and it was surprisingly good. I could not pay using my card, the only payment option I had was bank transfer, so I contacted customer service (expecting nothing tbh) and they gave me a quick solution using PayPal. l ordered 2 shirts and 4 CDs from Benighted and I received the package in 3 days, 3 damn days from France to Mexico, fastest shipping I've had (Impericon, Indie Merch, Nuclear Blast, Emp Online). The CDs didn't have like a special wrapping or something to avoid any damage, but that's not an issue for me. I thought they only offered merch and media for bands from their label, but they offer A LOT of band merch and music/dvds, so I'll be buying again from Season of Mist for sure.

Ordered 3 Cd's they where cheaper than on other sites so i ordered them here. Shipping speed was fine, but 1 of the CD's was damaged, so beware since i'm not the only one with this experience. I don't mind it that much since i got them for a good price, but i won't order here any time soon.

Had very bad experience with them. I ordered a couple of cd's and a tshirt from them.
A month and a half later the customer service person Gulliaume sent me a message saying that they made a shipment error and my order was sent to germany. He also told me that he gave my name, address and phone number to the person who got my order so that they would send me the order and i should wait another week. He also told me that if I get someone elses order then I should forward it to the rightful owner.
When I pointed out that it is wrong of him to share my details and ask me to sort his shipping mistakes out he started belittling me and refused to give me a refund.
Luckily I had used paypal to pay for my order and got a refund through them.
Never going to use this company to order anything again.
