Warranty Replacement and Labour Issue
I have no issue with the staff at my local Sandyford store, they're great. My issue is with UK head office warranty policy. I bought a tap which developed a drip withing four months. They agreed to replace it under warranty but wouldn't cover any of the labour costs to re-install it. And they said they wouldn't release the replacement one until I produced the old tap. So I'm supposed to get a plumber in to take it out and ask him to hang around over half an hour while I get the new tap??? It will be my last resort in future instead of my first choice.

Delivery pathetic
Ordered a hot water cylinder thermostat for delivery next day on a Thursday it did not arrive.
On the tracking patcelforce page stated had been dispatched on Friday morning at 05.00 am.
Contacted Screwfix who said it would be with me by Sunday (didn’t hold my breath as parcelforce do not work weekends)
Screwfix refunded my delivery charge.
On Monday morning, emailed Screwfix again ( no movement on parcelforce website) & requested a refund.
Low and behold had a text from Royal Mail and it was delivered around 11. am only 3 days late. Received a message from screwfix stating delivery made and an invoice no apology.
Would recommend that NO ONE uses them for delivery I certainly will not.

Avoid. Not one of the stores is properly stocked. I went to 5 stores in 2 days to get what I need because it took a week the month before to have other items delivered. The electrician wrote down what I needed and still the very nice but absolutely clueless young staff member gave me mostly wrong items. I went back up and one manager said he couldn’t refund or exchange the items because they’d ben taken out of the box. Now I was 200euro out of pocket. I went back to the store the next day because STILL an item was wrong. I told the girl what had happened. Turns out she’s a manager too and said they absolutely could refund it. So guess where I was the next day ? Yep, back up to Screwfix with the unused items to get a refund and one chrome light switch. Light switch not in stock. Shocker. So she ordered it from finglas it’s still not ready to be collected and my electrician is coming back tomorrow. Never again.

Purchased goods in Sligo store and 2 payments taken from my account, I asked assistant about this at the time of transaction ,he told me money would be back in my account in 2 or 3 days. 2nd phone call today to retrieve my money. Be careful dealing with this company, for me this was theft of my money, same as if I walked out of their store with their goods without paying.

Free delivery over €50 But they barely delivery anything you actually want to order. Instead, almost everything is click and collect. It's a scam.

Bought a chopsaw 18 months ago. Part broke while trying to remove the blade. Sending Emails to screwfix for over 2 weeks, still not resolved.

Saturday the 29th September 2024. I was deeply disappointed with the reaction I got from Screwfix Ballina Co Mayo, when I tried to replace saw blades which they sold me together with the cordless saw, and the blades did not fit the saw. I was practically accused of trying to pull a fast one, even though I had the saw and blades with me, but the, I presume the manager with a beard, who incidentally needs a lot more training in customer service, did not want to know. I certainly WILL NOT BE SPENDING ANY MORE MORE MONEY WITH SCREWFIX BALLINA IN THE FUTURE. There loss not mine. James

When I get the email it says 3-4 days.
It is now 6 days later and it's still not ready for collection.

Called to screwfix Ballysimon today. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Very friendly. April was very helpful answering all my queries. I would highly recommend this store and their staff.
About 50% of the time when using…
About 50% of the time when using screwfix there's random "issues" with my order where the order doesn't show in the website orders or send out a confirmation email. Its either a warehousing issue or a payment verification issue or some crap and I'm waiting weeks for an order. They then just start refunding individual items on the invoice randomly and me having to email every time to notify them they're missing items from the original order and I haven't received anything. We're talking 3+ weeks of this going on.

They simply did not deliver and sent me a false deliver update they tried to deliver

SOME POOR QUALITY ITEMS
Some of the products they sell are not of acceptable standard, i.e. poor quality. I bought an Essentials Entrance Mat 900 x 1500mm and the manufactured quality was appalling, so much so that it was split along the edging, which could cause a trip hazard. I returned it and was given a refund no problem. I bought another whilst I was there, hoping that it would not present the same problem, but I got it home and discovered it was exactly the same. In my opinion this mat should be removed from sale. There are no reviews about this mat on their website, and I am unable to submit one via my Screwfix app or on their website. The fact that I can't even submit a review is an urgent matter which Screwfix need to address immediately. My advice is DO NOT BUY this mat, it's dangerous.
