A member of staff went above and beyond…
A member of staff went above and beyond to help me while purchasing my scooter. At 3 months old my scooter was experiencing problems, get the impression that they don't like me very much. Had to go back with same problem I was dreading going back to the shop. I have every right too, they made me carry my charger from home to the shop! They make me drop my scooter off at the shop as they know I've one at home. Since it's been in for repair my headrest doesn't click in and stay in place also the cover next to my footwell is loose. Will never use scoota mart again. They make me not want to go in/unwelcome I feel like a burden to them when I am paying them for a service 😕
After my mother's own scooter broke…
After my mother's own scooter broke down in Southport today we rang Scoota mobility to see if we could hire a scooter for the day and they said no only for three days only. We rang back and said that we would pay for the days hire but just needed for one day. They refused to do this for us which I find shocking leaving an 80 year without anyway of getting around Southport therefore we had to return home which was 25 miles away. This is just not acceptable.

Excellent service all round
I phoned Scootamart to enquire about a scooter after finding another dealer a little unhelpful. Chris in sales was extremely helpful both on the phone and later in-store. He went through everything with me, made placing the order easy, and the scooter, which is fantastic, was delivered very quickly. There were a couple of little issues but their service was excellent and they worked very hard to resolve them very quickly. I spoke to Amanda on reception on a few occasions and she was always extremely helpful: she arranged the engineer quickly, called to let me know when they would be attending, they came on time and everything is now sorted.
Their service has been fantastic all round and the scooter is perfect for my needs. Thank you Scootamart 😊
Scootamart amazing customer service
Purchased a scooter in June 2024. January 2025 it broke unusable. I contacted Preston head office and spoke to a gentleman named Chris what a gem 11 out of 10 for customer care. He arranged for my scooter to be collected and even gave me little one on loan as I am housebound without a scooter he negotiated with manufacturer and sorted everything. Even sorted for me to pay the difference and upgrade to a baja as I had lost confidence in the original one.
My entire experience dealing with Chris
was a positive one even keeping me regularly updated. Massive thanks again Chris you a superstar and a credit to scootamart
Today I had a service from van…
Today I had a service from van scootermart has been driving since early hours ! Has done across Birmingham Leicestershire he arrive at mine 5.45 pm after office said 2ish
He has to do it under the street light and not on van too dark
Rain during service scooter out in open electrics also I mentioned to cover them up this guy was way too tired to do job
Front cover won’t come off so light not fixed loose so still not fixed
Had to do job twice due to being too tired
And as disabled person brain condition wasn’t happy I had to cover my scooter in dark lock up in dark
Last year they cleaned my scooter out hoovered out all muck wiped it down nothing was done this year I’m glad I know how to change battery seat area
Now I’ll get someone to local to do it save me money
I asked for it to be re seated cause if my condition he never even heard me seem too tired to even complete it I’m disappointed and will look for another on street service I think totally disappointed
Paid 89 last year now paying 129 without full repair
Surely diagnostics of batteries is part of the service ?? Another £89 and take it away why isn’t this all set up on van ? I felt it was a quick tick box Excercise to gain cash !

AARON from the Leigh office was amazing. My Dad is 91 hard of hearing and frail.Aaron was kind and very polite and also very patient. He brought a scooter I had looked at for Dad to try to his home.Took loads of time explaining things to Dad and never seemed in a hurry to get away. I'd give him eleven out of 10. Brilliant service would highly recommend. Gold Star 👏👏

1st and foremost Leon at the BURY shop , was most helpful in explaining all aspects , of different scooters , the good and the not so good of each model.

Fantastic service from scootamart
My Nan needed a scooter due to really bad knees and old age, she still wants to be able to get about and do her own shopping etc so we decided to give scootamart a try. The assistant who helped us was super friendly he really understood my nans needs and was so helpful from start to finish, and my nans isn’t the easiest customer to please. We are so happy with our new purchase and she’s been able to do her first shop in her new scooter so it’s safe to say I have a happy Nan today.
Thank you would definitely recommend
Disgraceful treatment over return of brand new scooter due to bereavement
I would like to clarify firstly that this is in relation to the company, their policies and the managing director Spencer Coe, not the individual that helped us purchase and subsequently return our scooter. Tony from the Salford branch was incredibly helpful and kind throughout this whole process.
On 26th May I purchased a scooter for my Mum who suffered from very reduced mobility. The scooter arrived on 30th June. Mum was on disability benefits so this purchase of a £950 scooter was a huge one for us, one we’d saved for and were very excited about.
Unfortunately on 8th June, Mum passed away very suddenly without ever getting to use the scooter.
A family member of ours contacted Scootamart on 9th informing them about what had happened and asking if they could start the refund process.
We were told that as the refund policy was only valid for 7 days after delivery, we had to contact head office or arrange to sell the scooter privately at a loss of over 50%.
We subsequently got in touch with head office who told us no refund was possible despite the scooter being unused, under warantee and only two days over the return policy. After much debating, it was agreed that we would put our situation in writing so the managing director could decide what to do.
After more chasing and stressful phone calls, we were finally informed that Tony would be helping us sort out the situation and would take the scooter back for us.
So long as we provided a death certificate, solicitors letter and a copy of the will as well as our proof of purchase.
She did not have a will and a solicitors letter was going to take us 12 weeks. We needed the scooter out of the house we had to clear out and give back. Something that was incredibly hard for us on many levels.
It was finally settled that as we couldn’t provide the latter, we would take £700 and call it a day. Exhausted by the situation and running out of time on the house, we agreed.
I’m honestly disgusted at the fact the company made us go through this ordeal at the most difficult time of our lives, all because we were two days out of policy.
Looking at the scooter was painful enough for us as we were so sad our Mum never got to use it, let alone having to argue back and forth and produce documents that not even her bank had asked for.
Not only that, but they wouldn’t even refund the full amount. A multi million pound turnover company couldn’t spare £250 to two grieving people who just had to pay for a funeral, only then to be able to go on and sell the same returned scooter at profit.
It’s a disgrace that this company has no policy in place for end of life considering the amount of elderly and vulnerable customers.
I truly hope their managing director is ashamed of the stress he put us through in our time of grief and difficulty.
I very rarely take the time to review…
I very rarely take the time to review companies (although I probably should!) but on this occasion, I believe it is absolutely necessary.
I've had a really terrible time with a scooter I bought (not from Scootamart) from the very beginning. I'm 73 and I have a disabled daughter so wanted to purchase a lightweight scooter that would fit in the car. The first time she came to try using it, we couldn't get it to fold.
I contacted the lovely team at Scootamart and they went above and beyond to try and help me resolve the problem. Nothing was too much trouble and despite finding out that the scooter had been discontinued and were known to have various technical issues, there's nothing the amazing people wouldn't try to get some sort of resolution.
To (and I'm sure not the only) people I have had the pleasure of speaking to: Chris, Ian and Mandy. Thank you for being so helpful and just continuously going that extra mile. You are a credit to the company and a great bunch!
