I have now been with them for 2 cycle recommendations of 6 option ea. All but one has been a loser. Nice to take peoples money and give them additional pain by losing them more money, and you don't even use a gun.

What started out as a terrible experience with their salesman ended up favorable when Katie, the owner, stepped in to fix the problem and have a little "sit-down" with the offending salesman. The salesman forgot how he should work with customers and solve their complaints. If you ever have a problem with Schaeffer's, give Katie a call. She'll make things right!

Here is an excerpt from our Quick Start Guide that I strongly encourage you to read prior to trading options with anyone, Mr. Eschenbach (it's in your account on www.schaeffersresearch.com and you received a link to it each time you join one of our programs):
OK, a word about win rates... Options trading programs frequently have low ones, even if they're successful. That's because the ability to make leveraged gains means that a few big winners can easily offset a long string of "smaller" losers.
Think of it this way: Buying option premium is about playing possibilities -- the possibility of achieving huge returns on the dollars invested.
From a premium buying perspective, our research shows that successful short-term options traders are correct on roughly 35% to 45% of their trades. A successful trader with a 35% win rate has a 59.60% chance of at least 7 consecutive losing trades within a 50-trade period -- a streak that could easily frustrate an investor who's not used to this kind of low win-rate/high-return trading.
The natural response to such a slump, for some traders, can be very costly: "Since those last three trades were losers, I'll put extra money in the next trade because it has to be a winner." No, it doesn't -- making this a recipe for blowing up your options portfolio. Never put extra capital into a position just because you think a losing streak must "logically" be close to its end.
Likewise, avoid cherry-picking trades to play only your "favorites" or the ones you have a good feeling about. Aside from the rather obvious pitfall of trading on emotions (more on that later), the danger here is significant -- you risk "picking over" one of the two or three out of 10 big winners that can make all the difference to your bottom line.
And use our recommended allocation guidelines, as set forth in Money Management 101, to make sure you have the available capital to participate in as many trades as possible. Otherwise, you risk losing out on the trade that doubles or triples your money.
So what's the bottom line? Basically, expect losing trades. Sometimes, several in a row. But continue to follow each recommendation in your Schaeffer's subscription as it arrives, and rely on a responsible money management system to conserve capital during losing streaks and maximize upside during hot streaks.

Schaeffer's CLIENT Service is the Best
First thing Schaeffer needs to do is give their Client Services Rep K.... a raise. She truly puts the "C" in CLIENT Services. We explained that we did not receive the service that we ordered and everything seemed to be screwed up with our account. As soon as she heard our story, K.... contacted us and said she would get to the bottom of what happened. She literally spent the weekend to discover the problem and to fix the problem. We subscribe to over two dozen investment services including Bloomberg, Investors Business Daily, WSJ, and Barron's. We have never seen this type of dedication to track down the cause of the problem and then fix it. She sent us several emails just to make sure the Account was up and running and gave us a free subscription to one of their more popular services just as a sign of good faith. She totally made me feel like I was a "CLIENT" of Schaeffer's Investment Research rather than just another "customer" signing up for their Option Advisory Service, which of course has been a staple of Wall Street for over 40 years. Just wanted to thank her for going the extra mile for a CLIENT.

Hi Miguel. It seems like there may be a misunderstanding going on with your account! I see that you purchased two programs that provide debit spread recommendations. While these do contain puts or calls, they should be entered as debit spreads with your brokerage.
We watch fill rates closely following trade recommendations to ensure customers are able to get in based on our instructions and there were no red flags with your programs since you joined (or you would have been notified).

I have used Schaffer's Research for years. A friend told me about this service. I have purchased 4 services from them. Their research guidance is excellent and in most services I have they tell you the entry and exit points. Their CS is good and if you have an issue they try to work it out with you.

Look elsewhere for better returns
I bought Schaeffers option week program and was sent 6 stocks to either buy puts or calls on. All but 2 went in the opposite direction of what they were predicting. thankfully, i bought calls on one of the two that worked - GE and made money. I went into the other trades and quickly sold out when i saw what direction they were going in. I wrote them asking about cancelling and was told i could not get my money back although i just began my subscription. after requesting to be removed from all marketing emails, i don't seem to be receiving the program i signed up for. Can't find an email since april with recommendations. trying to reach them by phone. Not sure about success rate of other offerings, but i would look elsewhere. their lack of performance is only matched by their indifference to the issue.

Subsequently, you were delivered 6 trades that expired on June 16th. Upon expiration, following our instructions, your trades had a total profit of +152.9% and if you had entered all six positions, you would have averaged a +25.5% return on six trades in UNDER FOUR TRADING DAYS. We highly recommend you trade all of our trades on a given week, or trade none. It is impossible to evaluate the performance of a program if you are not trading it properly. If you are unable, capital-wise, to participate in these trades, please give us a call and we will place you in a trading program where you can take full advantage of the program's performance. I apologize for your experience, either way, but there is a way to ensure a positive experience if you follow all of our trading instructions.
