Good for knowledge and freshers

I as 14 years of experience in the IT domain (as DevOps) joined this course in the hope of getting job of higher salary what i am currently drawing. I asked the same question before joining that is this course the right fit? I got it as "Yes, it will be helpful". As the course started it was motivating and i tried to maintain 100% PSP. Since this course is rigorous it was difficult to maintain the PSP. Once ML modules started i requested to make the batch for 2 days a week which was not an option at that time, later instructors where changed which broke my momentum. I also requested for morning slot, that was also not available. Yes at the same time i got lot of work in the office which added the pressure and backlogs. So i took break twice which made my rhythm out of track. Now after completing ML modules i am trying to look for job but i am not feeling confident of old topic as well as i have been told that market is changing rapidly which i agree, and i have to apply as a fresher in DS role with very less package and then upto me how much i can excel. Also the support which i got in the beginning of the course was of different level which got degraded as the course progress.
This is all about my journey. I am not sure now what to do.
I would say, as knowledge point of view this course is very good but for job point of view, this course is good for people who have less than 5 years of experience or freshers.

Experience at Scaler

While the instructors and curriculum were great at Scaler, their recent shift towards AI for features like mock interviews and grading has degraded the user experience for me. Furthermore, the career support hasn't met expectations; I received only one interview through Scaler(with a small company), whereas I independently secured multiple offers and interviews with major tech companies like Amazon and PayPal—via LinkedIn. Given that my external success happened without leveraging the Scaler brand, I find it difficult to see the added value of their placement assistance.

Not Worth it

Not Worth it

### Content

The learning content available on **YouTube and other free platforms is comparable in quality**, especially when considering the **significantly high fees charged by Scaler**. The value proposition does not justify the cost.

### Support

There is **limited to no effective support** provided to learners, which impacts the overall learning experience.

### Placement

The placement assistance is **primarily referral-based** rather than a **dedicated placement program**, which reduces its effectiveness and reliability.

### Overall Assessment

Considering the high fees, lack of proper support, and absence of assured placements, the program does not offer sufficient value for money and may not be worth the investment.

“Worth the Learning — Fee Optimization Needed”

I was part of the Scaler Academy Aug 2020 – 2022 batch, and my experience was overall very positive. Scaler truly helped me grow as a software engineer with its structured curriculum and strong guidance.

Faculty – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The faculty is outstanding. Instructors explain concepts deeply, make tough topics easy, and motivate you to level up. Mentorship was one of the best parts of the program.

Placement – ⭐⭐⭐
Placements were decent. Opportunities are definitely provided, but final results depend a lot on individual effort and background. Still, Scaler gives good exposure to many companies.

Upskilling – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For improving DSA, system design, and overall problem-solving, Scaler is excellent. My logical thinking and coding confidence improved a lot during the program.

Fee – ⭐⭐
The only area where I feel Scaler should improve is the fee amount. The program quality is great, but a slightly lower fee or more flexible payment options would make it accessible to many more students.

Final Verdict
As a student of the 2020–2022 batch, I can confidently say Scaler is a great platform for serious learners. Amazing teaching, strong community, and real upskilling. With a small reduction in fees, it would be perfect.

Good But not best

Honestly i felt this course is best for the people who are already in to the backend development or willing to go for backend/ front end development. I joined this course to learn data engineering module. I felt the amount of assignments / efforts they kept for Backend development is more compared to Data Engineering module and opportunities are also bit less compared to backend/front end development

The overall curriculum is very good…

The overall curriculum is very good which provides an in depth knowledge and builds the foundation for CS. The instructors are also very good at teaching, along with the mentors providing good suggestions. But the price point is too high, I believe the price could have been brought down to a reasonable amount.

Scaler - The BEST of all tech Eds i explored....

I have explored multiple online Ed-Tech platforms since 2021...Scaler is the BEST, I would say.

Please note - I want to reiterate - this is not a paid review.

I am 30+ and i'm very stagnant in my career. I was exploring options to upskill myself and i came across Scaler through one of the YouTube Ads. Scaler is costly, but it is really worth it.

Few things which stand up:
1. Live sessions - The tutors are really fantastic. This is where Scaler stands apart. My favourite tutor is Rohan. Although he is not with Scaler now, we can still access his recorded sessions.
2. Curriculum - the program structure is from very basis and anyone can pick up, provided they are committed for a duration of 7 months.
3. Teaching Assistants - Any doubts we have, teaching assistants are available for us anytime.
4. Course pause / reset option - This is really fantastic. I'm unable to complete the assignments and contests due to high backlog. This feature really helped me a lot. I think none of the other platforms provides this.
5. Contest - This helps us to test ourselves and this is one of the inspiration which keeps me on track.
6. I'm not sure of placements, as I have not reached that part as of now. But i see in the portal, many people are getting placed.

Last but not least - whatever it is - it's only up to us - If we are consistent, then definitely we can crack on UpSkill.

syllabus and curriculum is very good…

syllabus and curriculum is very good for the academy development program, but course content can be covered in a fast paced manner so that learners do not have to wait 1 year or more to transition to another job. when we are stagnated with current job and want to change fast, scaler slows us down and it becomes a painful wait to transition job especially when current management is not supportive of our scaler upskilling or provide us a sabbatical break.

I would suggest a bootcamp fast track program where we can optimize and compress certain modules for example LLD + capstone project can be combined into one module. DSA can be taught in 1 month, HLD can be taught in 1 month to help us prepare us for interviews in 3 months. 1 year is a long painful wait. only thing worth is the structural learning and curriculum. also we do not need TA support for homework assignments. we get all our learning doubts and questions clarified from chatGPT and gemini 3 and other AI tools. so the TA support cost can be reimbursed back to us and bring down the cost and make scaler upskilling affordable to all learners. scaler should put students first, and make education affordable to all middle class students. also the number of students in a batch should be less than 50 so that individual attention can be provided to the learners. also scaler should track competitors like interview kickstart who offer 50% refund to students who are not able to get job placement after successfully getting the training and certification. scaler should always put students first.

Good platform for upskilling

Scaler is a good platform for upskilling. I feel this is one of the best option for all the non coders and non techies if they are looking forward to shift their career to software field.

Beware from dark side of Scaler

If you’ve landed here after watching Scaler’s ads or because someone is urging you to enroll, I’d strongly advise you to pause and reconsider. There are several critical details that you will not be informed about in the beginning. For instance, six months after completing the course, you lose access to lecture recordings. The same applies to placement assistance—once the six-month window ends, you can no longer apply for jobs through their platform.

Let me share my journey, which now spans almost two years. I joined Scaler in January 2024, and as of December 2025, the syllabus still remains unfinished—this includes modules like DSA 4.2. Several students in my batch raised concerns, but nothing meaningful came out of it, despite Scaler’s claims that the entire curriculum for beginner batches would be completed within 12 months.

When it comes to placements, most freshers—including myself—are finding it extremely difficult to secure a job through Scaler. Around 95% of the opportunities offered to freshers are internship roles, with average stipends ranging from 10–15k, some on-site, some remote. Shockingly, there are even companies that offer no pay at all—only an experience certificate. Over the span of two years, I have seen roughly 15-20 companies, and almost all of them were offering internships, not full-time roles.

I personally know many students from the 2022–2023 batches who are still struggling in 2025 to find employment despite completing the program.

To be fair, the instructors and mentors are excellent at what they do. The quality of teaching is not the issue. But we did not pay ₹3.2 lakhs just for knowledge—we paid with the expectation of meaningful career opportunities. And what is the point of investing such a large amount if, even after completing assignments and clearing mock interviews, securing a job with even a ₹3.2 LPA salary remains uncertain?

I am writing this review as a fresher who joined the beginner batch. If your sole aim is to learn and you are comfortable spending ₹3.2 lakhs purely for education, Scaler can offer that. But if you are placing your hopes on their placement claims—especially the advertised “22 LPA average package”—please temper your expectations. Those numbers are misleading at best.

If you still wish to enroll, do your research thoroughly. Explore alternative platforms that offer pay-after-placement assistance rather than locking yourself into a costly program with no guaranteed outcome.

Scaler - Level Upto Principal Engineer Skills

As a software engineer, staying ahead in this dynamic tech industry is both a challenge and a necessity. My journey with Scaler has been instrumental in shaping my growth, helping me bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry requirements.

Through Scaler's structured curriculum, real-world projects, and hands-on mentorship, I gained deeper insights into solving complex problems, designing scalable systems, and writing maintainable code.

The curriculum is in-depth and taught by industry veterans from MAANG and similar companies, making it highly relevant. More than just teaching, they focus on building intuition, enabling us to tackle new problems with confidence.

Though freely available, I never needed Teaching Assistant support; just rewatching lectures was enough. With AI-powered chat support, doubt resolution has reached the next level, guiding us to think in the right direction. The course pause option ensures flexibility, and dedicated placement support connects learners to niche job opportunities. For those willing to put in consistent effort, the career and technical growth is immense.

The focus on both technical skills and professional growth gave me the confidence to tackle challenges head-on.

A special shoutout to the incredible mentors and peers who supported me throughout this journey—you’ve truly been my guiding light. The learning and networking opportunities have not only sharpened my skills but also expanded my perspective on tech innovation.

Scaler didn’t just teach me; it empowered me to grow. Here’s to continuous learning and the exciting possibilities ahead!
