Extremely poor learning

The questions I get on homework assignments using this excuse of a platform are significantly harder than what we've ever learned and tells you to do things we haven't even learned. Besides that, it doesn't elaborate well when you get questions wrong, and forces you to use the so called "correct" forms of answers when they are as equally acceptable. Questions also should not be reset if you choose to get help on it, that just punishes people.

Why Do We Use This?

An 8th grader here, this website is absolute trash. It’s picky on the way it’s wants to the math and it doesn’t give a review when you have unlimited guesses. The quiz parts suck too, it doesn’t give you the right answer even if you didn’t understand it from the start. I have to admit, it’s ok at some parts, but it’s a site that is like melting pot. Some good, mostly bad. To summarize this, savvas can’t do its intended purpose without the proper availabilities for the student. Also, my teacher does agree in some things.

Most Complicate Program

This is my first exposure to this program and thus far I find it far too complicated for students with low math aptitude. The program assumes a higher level of understanding for students in lower tiers of learning. Further the lesson are no coherent. For example 4th lesson under topic 12 has a lesson on comparing decimals and then goes to adding fractions with denominators of 10 and 100, then the next lesson is on counting money. There is no connection between comparing decimals and money. In lesson 13 here is a lesson on converting with customary units of measurements. The student are asked to subtract 2 1/4 from 10. They are taught to subtract 1 whole from 10 and make it 9 4/4 and then subtract. The easier way is to use a number line and label the number line and count backwards. I can envision students being thoroughly confused.

Pain.

Id rather get 1000000 papercuts and jump into a pool of lemon juice than do math on this website

An absolute dumpster fire

hands down one of the most unfriendly platforms I’ve ever had to use. the interface feels like it was designed to confuse students rather than help them learn. the questions are ridiculously hard and often far beyond what’s actually covered in the curriculum. the tools are especially awful, clunky, unresponsive, unnecessarily complicated. simple tasks take way too long, and half the time the graphing interface doesn’t even work the way it’s supposed to. navigation is another nightmare, especially on mobile. it’s clear this platform was not designed with students in mind.

The company is inaccessible to parents…

The company is inaccessible to parents who are asked to purchase materials for students. The private school which my child attends learned late this summer that Savvas and Pearson are no longer in business together. Thus, the materials aren't available. I purchased what I had been instructed to purchase - a digital book and online access - both of which my child does not need, use nor have we accessed it. I was told after nearly 10 phone calls to Savvas that I would receive a refund. I received a refund for $27 rather than the $125 for the digital access. One has to make multiple calls to the company (devote nearly an entire morning of your time) to get through to a person and you are then instructed to access the website - difficult, unwieldy - giving the distinct impression that the company is hiding behind their website. Absolutely unresponsive to customers and the website design is awful. I am now filing a complaint with my credit card company.

Terrible UI

Inaccurate answer key, terrible The user interface is not user-friendly for students or teachers. Often slow and buggy, with frequent problems. Just not great. There are other better programs to use.

Slow, Repetitive, and Difficult to Navigate

The website is slow and redundant, with many issues connecting with google classroom and using the e-text. The e-text can get stuck continuously as Savvas calls it, "Loading Highlights and Annotations." When accessing the e-text and upon reloading the page you are met with the loading highlights and annotations message and are put back to the first page of the e-text; the website doesn't save your location and page on the e-text. To make it worse, the web design is very redundant and useless with an unnecessary amount of UI buttons and text put all over the home page; it is really easy to get lost within the website and it is a pain to find specifics. English and clarity in the website resource are also very poor in quality with very misleading terms and words that can contradict previous statements they have explained before. Very unintuitive design and overall makes the learning experience of physics boring and tedious.

Poorly Made Website

The website is very poorly made, commonly things are stuck in loading hell. Not optimized well for low-end student devices such as Chromebooks. Along with that the assignments are pure boring with no thought put into making the assignments engaging.

Terrible for Schools

Marks answers wrong just because of capilization and makes my whole class get bad grades. The assignments are way too long and not easy to understand, and there is type o's in lessons.
