Horrible experience.

Horrible company. I bought the Blink 500 3-piece mic/lavalier two years ago. I’ve used them once. And that was a month after purchasing. So they sat until two weeks ago. I took them out and put them in USB charge mode. Nothing. One receiver. And one transmitter slightly charged. One transmitter was dead. I emailed support which itself was a nightmare of horrible English. And the rudest responses I’ve ever seen in business. They told me to smash the broken one with a hammer. Take a picture for proof and then they’ll send a new one to me.
My god. Who does this?! Is Saramonic run in a garage in Thailand?! I thought okay I’ll play the game. I did what they asked and three days later I get an email starring ‘You package is on the way.
Just to rewind a bit. My son bought the same Blink500 set as I did the same week. He also just them a year or so ago. Now all there of his are dead!!
When you sell a product it should have a shelf life and a working life for years. Not use and smash with a hammer!!!
I went ahead and bought new RODES Lavs. Better reputation. Great customer service. And by the way. Still waiting on the replacement unit after a week or so. Huge NO to this company.

Screens went dark after a few months

I bought a wireless double microphone set for mobile phone Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2.

Screens went dark after some months. And support from Saramonic was terrible.

I bought the first set and after 5 times of use along a few months, not more than 3 hours in total, the screens of the RX units did not lit anymore.
Writing to customer support of Saramonic is cumbersome. They asked me not only for invoice, serial number, but I had to made several videos and send the videos to them.
And finally, the answer the gave me is a video in youtube for me to change the LCD screens by myself!!!!!
The video is called "Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 replace LCD screen". Look for yourself how difficult it is and how easy you brake something and then it will be your fault.
I have a set of mics which do not work. They are under guarantee but Saramonic does nothing to replace them. Orginal cost is 300 Euros. All lost!
STAY AWAY FROM SARAMONIC !

Terrible support

I have a Saramonic audio recording device which developed a fault where it would intermittently skip audio. This makes it impossible to use the device to record a video voice track as the audio quickly goes out of sync with the video it's being assigned to.

Saramonic support had me running errands, doing tests, emailing screenshots etc... for nearly two weeks and got nowhere with helping me. Eventually fobbed me off to one of their distributors.

Will not be buying their products again.

I’m impressed!

Over the course of the last year or so I’ve purchased many of their products for my iphone and my recorders. I’m am very impressed with the quality and performance you get for the price. Saramonic has become one of the brand’s I always consider when looking for new equipment.

Horrible Customer Service!!!

I understand that we are under pandemic but the level of customer service has been horrendous. After multiple emails and calls, I finally got someone from the order department on the phone to initiate a return. He was very unhelpful. I was told"We are technically closed because of Covid19, we are located in New York. You can return the items, they must be in new condition and they must include all of the original packaging. I would suggest waiting a while before you return them though because there will be no one here to process and receive the return and even when we do reopen, it will take a while to catch up." Yet calling the warehouse directly was how I got in contact with this person in the order department and I had just ordered this equipment the week before and it arrived no problem.
I have now been emailing every email address listed on the website for the past three weeks to help out with this with zero responses. It seems as though this company has no problem taking your money but if you have any issues with your purchase, you are SOL!!!

Great Products and a Good Value

There are a lot of products on the market now days that address the needs of filmmakers and content creators. But I am impressed with the quality and pricng of the Saramonic product line.

The two products that I am most familiar with is the Blink 500 and the UW9 dual mic system. The UW9 is built like a tank and gives me two channels in one receiver. It replaced a $650 Sennheiser system that died.

The Blink 500 is more targeted at the consumer, plug and play market but works great. And again another great value.

Great Products and Price Point

I've been turning to Saramonic for audio a lot lately for both professional video, our YouTube vlog, and other creative stories that we tell. A lot of content we create is making use of the V-Mic Pro, V-Mic Mini, and the UWMic9 wireless system. Now I'm looking into the Blink 500 system as well. Great products, and price point as well.

Great sound with out Breaking into your "Piggy-Bank"

I am a huge believer that 70% Of Every Great Video, is Great AUDIO! I unfortunately shoot 90% of my video on location in the SPORTS Genre. I am constantly looking for Microphone(s)/System(s) which can hold up to extreme Impact and knowing even if I have a total loss it's in the low $100.00 not the low $1,000.00! I use Saramonic mics when I need that PRO-ACTION Mic Sound (Like my Sennheiser MKH 416 Shotgun Condenser Microphone). I have had great luck, Audibly, with the Saramonics.

Not great with cats

Great at cutting down background or incidental noise (outside noise, shuffling, putting down cups, etc), BUT if you have other people nearby or pets in the house like cats who have a similar vocal range to humans, then the microphone picks them up and actually seems to amplify the sound. Not exactly what I was hoping for.
