DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE, i returned a car they checked it over, did not say anything about any issue or damages (because there were none) they took us to the airport with the same car we rented. On my return to my horror they have charged my credit card 550 Euros claiming clutch damage AVOID AVOID AVOID

Run by mafia.
Rented a mid sized SUV got a small hatchback! Not enough room for my family's bags. So not a good start.
The car was a total mess. Dirty. Scratched. Dented.
On return they said the car was damaged and said we need to pay €300 to get our €1.5k deposit back.
The guy spent a long time shouting at me and my wife.
There was zero damage to the car. The fact I had plenty of detailed before and after photos of the car on my phone meant nothing to them. They point blank refused to accept the clear fact there was no damage to the car. It was utterly crazy. At no point did they give the car any sort of a check on return.
This company ruined the start and end of our holiday and give the amazing Greek people a bad name.
Like I say.. mafia.

Do not book a rental car through this company. We found this company through Carjet.com. A deposit of €450 has not been refunded to us after returning the car on 11/09/2024 in Athens until today (10/12/2024). This despite additional damage insurance with Sapphire Rental itself and a confirmation from Sapphire Rental via WhatsApp that the sum would be refunded. Both Sapphire Rental and Carjet.com do not respond to our calls and emails. If further information is required, we will be happy to provide it. Be warned: avoid both of these companies!

Car was old, 76k on clock, didn’t smell too good, steering knocking, link rods rattling, tyres under inflated, no screen wash, rear brakes noisy, covered in scratches, and dents red paint was pink with sun damage . Wouldn’t pay the extra insurance so scammed me with 400 euros for damage that I never did and they will never have repaired. DO NOT USE , YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF

Was waiting for them to pick me up at the airport I landed at 22PM, no one came until after 11PM. The lady was very rude and was constantly rushing me. THEY DO NOT TAKE AMEX although they say they do... I contacted my bank they said nothing is wrong with the card is their card machine... so the lady started shouting that she has work in the morning and she cannot stay or help me, wanted to charge extra 50 euros as late pick up!!! although i was waiting for over an hour for them to pick me up! They did not give me the car and no refund although issues on their side??? no one answering emails... HAVE TO MENTION THE LADY LEFT ME ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (AFTER MIDNIGHT) ON THE ROAD KNOWING MY PHONE DON'T WORK ABROAD AND I COULDN CALL TAXI!!!!!

Worst company I ever had chance to deal with. Booked our car trough rentalcars - all paid for, flight number provided. Not our fault but the flight was delayed by 2.5hrs. As soon as we have been cleared from border control my husband went to look for the person that was suppose to meet us and give us the car. Noone was there. So we rang the company and thay said that they are gone and it's too late. So we were left stranded on the airport at 1am, no transportation to the hotel - we had to take an uber to the hotel which was 1hr driving from the airport. We had to hire a scooter to move around the island - we had an accident on that scooter and trying to recover for 2 weeks now. I would blame for that accident car rental company because they screw us over with the car. Customer service is horrible - NEVER EVER USE THAT COMPANY AGAIN!!

I landed January 5th and had already paid my fee online.

Kostas Boulos a very friendly guy arrives and leaves you the car with a contract. I made a deposit of 450 E according to the contract. I should have checked that was only a print which it was not, my bad...Without any scratches or worries when returning the car, this amount is supposed to be back on your account within 2 weeks, or so it is written in both contact and website.

Same Kostas is back when you arrive at airport and insures you it is ok and no worries... Still waiting, I wrote e mail, wrote sms, WhatsApp, and called. I had him on the phone and he said he would look at it... no more answers. Well I m not finished with you sir if I don' get my money back !

I believe the comment was useful, as the money is back now. I have never hidden my name nor used any other account to answer here or anywhere. is it the case with Peach :) I take fully account of all that I had written, and since I was back in my country and did not check thoroughly my bank account I could have done it earlier of course, but it should have been restituted without asking and earlier. The fact that it was 78 Euros and was paid, we discussed it in front of the airport ! it was well agreed to my reckoning, and I don't remember it was a mistake, online reservation without any insurance and options. Same for arriving one day after, as I missed my flight and booked another one. I fully told you all that and it was all being well discussed and arranged. I have a long discussion over WhatsApp to confirm that. Again Kostas was very friendly and nice tempered, and I would have recommended very easily without those turn of events. Now it's up to every customer to make his own idea. Everything was smooth up to that deposit thing. One might be a bit scared when he sees money is not back as it was supposed to. Now it is settled and all in good place. Thanks to ... insisting maybe ? We will never know. Cheers

If you continue working with him you will keep getting these reviews which are not directly for you. After you remove him from your network I will gladly delete this

Worst compay ever. Very rude and unfriendly staff (Dimitri). Rented out our car to someone else… Then tried to wheedle us an additional €350,- for a different, bigger car (which we did not ask for). Obviously, we refused this. After which Dimitri totally ignored us. Unbelievable scenes, never been treated like this by a ‘professional’ company. Don’t let these guys fool you, AVOID at all times!!

I booked a car at Sapphire rental in Corfu for EUR 189. Upon arrival, they did not accept my American Express card, even though their terms and conditions clearly stated that they do. When asked whether we can use my partner's card (and change the partner to the main driver if necessary) we were informed that we need to pay an additional EUR 200 (non-refundable) to do this. This is even more than what we paid for the car hire in total.

The guy started to be aggressive and eventually we left in tears before they also scam us further.

Don't use this company. The branch in Corfu also goes by the names of Rental Car Corfu, Sigma Car Rental and SKG Car Rental (clearly they need four different names due to their bad track record).

Also, look at the previous reviews - all the five star reviews are similar (also check the grammar), all also from Greece. Clear that it was the same person writing them.

Lastly, I see that Sapphire has previously commented that they are based in Athens and that another user should not comment on their page. Do yourself a favour and visit their website. Corfu is listed as a location. This company is clearly lying!

L.E. AS i was saying. Scammers. When i go on your site, the Corfu location is shown on the map. How is this a @different@ company?
Indeed it says PARTNER! Then take action! and REMOVE THIS PARTNER, this SCAMMER Partner from your network! Go and check their reviews on google, see how many people are complaining of THE SAME EXACT THING!
Scammers!!! Check your car properly!!! They scammed me out of 300 euro on a car "dent" that was under the front of the front bumper!!!

Obviously, I did not see it before taking the car. I am 100% sure I did not scratch it.
It's a matter of principle. I am fully insured anyway. But they are thieves!!!
When I checked the car at pick up the rear bumper was hit and I told them. They did not even come with us to check together. It's like, if you see the previous bumps good, if not we'll charge you when you get back!!!
When I got in the car I saw that the right mirror was broken. And I go in an tell the guy. And he is yeah yeah we know. So why the he'll didn't he mark it before giving me the car? Good thing I saw it before I left!

Sorry to say, but this organisation is a scammer. I rented a car on Corfu island for 15 days and paid full in advance. When arrived the car was not there and they neither not gave me another car or my 650 euro. Please protect yourself and do not rent a car at this organisation.
