Worst professional encounter in 30 years. A stretch to call it professional.
With their partner Emerald, they filed late: my business, personal and wife’s personal taxes two years in a row. Ignored emails, voice messages, any questions regarding the fines we incurred from CRA. Did not pay my taxes with the money they asked me to put in the payroll account at CRA. Expected me to navigate CRA’s website and figure out what I owed where. Never got answers. My new accountant has unearthed other errors in the actual accounting besides the late filings.
Did no work for 7 months and still expected more money.
If I could have least got one response about anything would have been appreciated in the last two years.
The only time I got a response was when I told them (Emerald/Sapphire) they were fired and within an hour they responded and all they did was demand more money after all their contract breaches.
I’m extremely appreciative of great service from anyone and hesitant to crap on anyone but this was extremely stressful and frankly embarrassing that I let it go on for another year.
There is more to tell but that should be enough.
