Becareful with Digital coupon

Per Safeway policy, "Internet and digital coupons that have been electronically loaded to a Safeway Club Card are automatically redeemed at the time of purchase after the club card number has been entered".
The receipt was not shown the price redeemed for the item I clipped digital coupons on my Safeway app. I asked customer service why it happened. They check my app for the items to see if it was clipped. Then they gave me cash for the the difference. When I went home I looked at the receipt i found out another item that from digital coupon i had clipped has not been redemm for the price.
I bought only few items so I could find out or remembered what items were from digital coupon clipped. I could have not detect this scam if bought too many itmes including the items that not belong to digital coupons. So don't trust the digital coupon since the Safeway did not program to have items with digital coupon to have automatically redeemed the amount as its advertisement

Poor management

There is never a good day for management at safeway. In my experience, management has always been bad and unhelpful and it is again today. Thank you Flagstaff Arizona at location highway 89

From Pick-up to Delivery 👍

My daughter was supposed to do my Safeway pick-up but was ill, and I broke my hip, so I can’t drive right now. Thanks to the person (Dan?) at the McDowell Safeway, I was able to get my order delivered the same day. I cannot thank Dan and Safeway enough for going through the trouble to make it happen.

I have been a customer of Safeway for…

I have been a customer of Safeway for many years. I would like to use the special digital coupons. My phone does not accept the digital program therefore I was not able to use the discount. I have an older phone it does most of what I need. l do not feel I should have to purchase a new phone as I may not need it for long. I am a Senior citizen and think you could let those of us use our OFFICIAL I D. for the discounts. We will never be as update on technology as the younger generations. More profit for Safeway and lots of happy Senior Citizens. Your agent informed me they had no options. 0 star is sufficient..... last date Safeway should put the digital coupon on my membership card.

Safeway not worth it under any circumstances whatsoever

Besides having high prices making it a complete hassle to try and save money with their various coupons and app and scanning QR codes and so on just to get the same price that Walmart or anyone else charges is bad enough but using their app or delivery is an absolute nightmare. Do not get involved with it whatsoever at all. Just stick with Walmart or Target or your local grocery store trust me on this. I've spent an hour and a half trying to set up a $94 delivery order and of course they don't tell you the $20 discounts only for non-perishable items which is a rip off and deceptive and then after multiple attempts nothing would work the order wouldn't go through and then I was trying to set up delivery for non-existent order and then I spend another half an hour on with India their customer service branch so I'm done done done with Safeway and albertsons. Good riddance!

I shopped today at Glen Cove Safeway

I shopped today at Glen Cove Safeway. Three young men helped me and they did a great job! Jaylen, Jamar, and Reggie are to be commended! Happy and friendly! These employees made my shopping experience so much better!

Bad experience at Safeway with Restroom

Visited 4 seasons Safeway to shop in Vancouver, WA .
They were remodeling.
As I was shopping, I realized I needed to use restroom.
The restroom up front was not on service due to remodel.
An employee suggested I go to back of store to use restroom in back by pharmacy.
The pharmacy refused to let me use.
She said I need to use outhouses along front of store.
Please understand that it is rain/snowing mixed and is cold.
I have a bladder issue.
I was very upset so I left my shopping cart and went to Winco down the road to shop and to use their restrooms.
I dont feel that this was good customer service

Wife went to store to buy their Lobster…

Wife went to store to buy their Lobster special, was told they were out, but would have them by opening the next morning. Drove there only to be told no, sorry they will not get them but maybe the store down the road would have them.
I don't usually shop Safeway because of High Prices, overcrowded isles, and its turned into a shopping boutique with emphasis on reducing payroll by reducing check stands and adding more self checkout. Profit over people!
No wonder Safeway/Albertson is selling out

I I ordered groceries from the Cottle…

I I ordered groceries from the Cottle Road Safeway in San Jose, CA, selected the 3-5PM time frame, received a text advising my order was ready for delivery at 2:59PM and after several calls to Customer Service, was informed my order will be delivered by 8:15PM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GROCERY DELIVERY. Uber is subpar.. Lisa B., San Jose, CA.

WARNING………don’t have Safeway pharmacy…

WARNING………don’t have Safeway pharmacy give vaccines. They administer vaccines then take payment and amazingly DO NOT offer documentation or evidence of it on their website, app, or if you call them they deny the vaccines were given. I wonder if this is criminal certainly is below professional standards.

On December 1st 2023 I PRE ORDERED a Spinach Dip Bread bowl, Asparagus spears and Stuffed mushrooms for my familys CHISTMAS dinner. When I went to pick up said items I was told they (SAFEWAY) had not had Asparagus in weeks and there were no stuffed mushrooms all I was able to get was the Spinache dip!! WHY, WHY would you let someone place an order for something you don't or wont have??? they had my email address and my phone number, was I given any notfication that they would not have those items? NO I was not. So on Christmas Day my family's diiner is now ruined. I hope your happy SAFEWAY and I hope all or your family's dinner plans are completly ruined!
Maybe just MAYBE Kroger can straighten out the mess Albertson people have caused!

App and web site

The app and the web site for shopping for sales are very poor. If you don't use them you pay more and I feel that's why it may be set up that way. I have called on the phone to give my input hoping that a new web and app design will be set up in a simple design for us. I would use another grocery store but I must drive 40 minutes to get there. The whole ordeal creates stress. Guess I'll just pay more since my time is very limited.

Very unprofessional staff

Very unprofessional staff not at all helpful the self service checkout system is appalling your left for ages then staff are rude
If you have a problem or complaint my advice would be to not bother your not going to get problems rectified and you’ll feel incredibly insulted. Worst shopping experience. Totally humiliating and disgusting disrespectful don’t want to give 1 star but 0 isn’t an option
