Frame broke shortly after purchase. No response to my emails or phone calls. Wish I had read the other reviews before purchase and avoided these guys

I needed a some safety glasses with specialist lenses for work. Safety Protection Glasses were one of the only places I could find that offered these lenses, and the only one I could find in the UK.

I placed my order on 9th September 2025. After a fair wait, a pair of glasses was received. The quality was good, but the lens type was wrong. I let them know, and they processed the order again. A second pair of glasses, identical to the first arrived. Still wrong. Still not what I had paid for.

They offered to option of a refund, and also said that they would be talking with the manufacturer and making sure the correct lenses were used in the replacement order.

That was the last I ever heard from them. No refund. No glasses. No replies to any of my emails. It is now April 2026, over 6 months later.

I give up.

Order some safety glasses on the 24th of January order got confirmed but heard nothing since. Emailed several times and phoned and left voicemails with no reply. Did state 21 days turn around which have now past and still no communication. Will be going to the trading standards.

Here’s my frustrating experience with this awful company:

I placed an order in mid-August for safety glasses, adding extras like thinner lenses and transitions. The product description stated that transition lenses included an anti-reflective coating. I confirmed this over the phone, as they also had a separate option for an anti-reflective coating at an extra cost. I was assured I didn’t need to pay extra because it was included.

Shortly after ordering, I found a 10% discount code in my spam folder and contacted the company to apply it. They initially denied sending the promotional email and made me forward it as proof. After a week of calls and emails with no action, I asked them to cancel the order so I could reorder with the discount. They cancelled my order and the working promo code. I had to fight to get the discount reinstated, and they acted like they were doing me a favour by honouring their own promotion.

About a month after placing my second order, I finally received the glasses - only to discover they lacked the anti-reflective coating promised in the description. After several days, the company admitted their website was incorrect and refused to fix it unless I paid £40. After multiple conversations, they finally said they’d add the coating for free and told me I’d get the glasses back in 10 days.

Day 9 came, and I heard nothing. When I contacted them, they cited delays and said it would be another week. I reminded them I needed the glasses by a specific date, but they missed the deadline. They then blamed customs, though their initial timeline was unrealistic regardless. Frustrated, I requested a partial refund for the massive inconvenience. Instead, they repeatedly offered to cancel my order, ignoring that I still wanted the glasses.

Finally, 26 days after they collected the glasses, they emailed me to say they’d just received them back. Instead of apologising or offering compensation, they cancelled my order entirely, claiming they’d "spent an inordinate amount of time in dealing with this". They insisted they’d done nothing wrong because they fixed their website error and couldn’t control customs delays.

I ended up ordering the exact same glasses from a company called RX Safety. They arrived in less than two weeks and were perfect.

Save yourself the hassle - don’t waste your time with this incompetent company.

I ordered 5 glasses over two months ago and still haven't received any. A few weeks after I placed the order they canceled one item because the model was discontinued. A week later, two more were also canceled for the same reason. I'm still waiting for the remaining items of the order

The glasses are well made to my exact prescription. Received a discount on my initial order and have purchased some other glasses on sale. Can’t fault the service, arrived when they said and would buy again. Highly recommended 👍

Pretty much identical post to the last review. I payed £114 on 8th August and it is now the 2nd September. I have received confirmation of my order but have not received my glasses. I have sent several messages through the website and email's and have not heard from them. They telephone number does not connect and chat function on website is not available. Won't be using again and will be reporting to trading standards.

Since writing the post they have replied to my emails and shipped my glasses.

Had some issues with UPS which safety glasses were very helpful in sorting for me. The glasses received are perfect, better than expected.

I got a new eye test this July and needed some safety glasses for my woodworking. I don't really understand what the numbers and letters mean but the person on the chat system was quite helpful, they explained to me what lens type I was looking for, ones called bifocals which I've never had before. Glasses arrived quick and came with a cloth and case. 5 star service

I purchased reading glasses from Safetyprotectionglasses. I reported distorted vision when using the glasses and was told this is normal for reading glasses. They offered to replace the lenses for an additional charge. Having already spent £100+ I was not inclined throw more good money after bad. My advice would be to go to one of the high street opticians for a cheaper product that actually works.
