Having ordered a new front door for my property with no mail flap, I decided to get myself a postbox instead. I have spent many days and nights looking online and searching for features such as safety, warranty, materials, price and size. In the end I came across this safety letterbox company. And again, I spent quite a lot of time until I decided what to order according to my needs. I have ordered
SLB COM 1 Post Box, grey colour as, from the pictures, it matched the walls and the door. It seemed very well made, good safe aperture etc. not cheap! but ok I thought. I placed the order and because it stated that it was made to order I was prepared to wait and get a good product.
The delivery of the order took place without being sent an email prior to despatch, the order arrived second day after they attempted to deliver and not been in. First thing I found after opening the parcel, a noise, I took out the box and discovered that there was no flap where the mail flap was supposed to be. I opened the box and I found the flap inside box instead, the flap and two pins that was supposed to be holding it in place. Flap was scratched, therefore it's presumed that due to the fact that pins moved in very easily as they weren't secured in place, the flap fell inside and got scratched/dent in. After placing the order and on receiving confirmation of order being processed and invoice attached, I've replied to the office asking that when the goods are sent out to be accompanied by paperwork such warranty and the security compliance sheet. I received a faulty post box ( flap dent in and holding pins faulty), no fixings/ bolts or any other fittings, and no paperwork, at all, not even a warranty.
The office have not been in contact with me and ignored these. I do not recommend this company. If you take the risk to order, make sure you return faulty product or without warranty or all accompanying paperwork required straight away, Otherwise, you'll find yourself in my shoes:£120.31 short.

They have excellent customer support. It was very organized and simple. Thanks to Abby Williams who arranged for my letterbox keys today, she was prompt and helpful.

After losing a key to the letterbox of my flat I contacted the letterbox key company for some advice . Chris went above and beyond helping me by sending me a link then sending a you tube video to explain how to fit the new lock. All of his responses were extremely prompt !!! First class service

Customer service was patchy, they chased me up for payment on an invoice they hadn't sent me yet. The product was poor when faced with thieves it didn't keep my post secure. To begin with they carried out a fishing attack. I was sold a fix for what was a known design flaw. Then they simply levered it open from the communal area.

Not the greatest.
If you dare to make an enquiry, you will be hounded on a weekly basis by their sales team, however when you place an order you will have difficulty getting responses from their technical team. Let alone delivery dates.

Poor communication is not good business.

My only other comment is that this order was fulfilled more than four months ago and I had to spend some time looking for documentation and trying to refresh my memory!

Probably only a one off purchase, but I am very pleased with the two external letter boxes provided; they arrived on time; the work well and are very practical, I did lose a key for one of them and was advised that a replacement was available at £30, however I was able to purchase one from a local locksmith at £5! (However I don't think that the company's replacement charge is too wild, when you consider the involvement in processing etc.)

Looking for a letterbox in a colour to match our new front door. The Safety Letterbox Company were really helpful and responded to our requests immediately. Customer service was excellent and the finished product is manufactured to an incredibly high standard. I will be recommending The Safety Letterbox Company to my friends.

We are the managing agent for our Lanldord and the Company, Safety Letterbox are managing the postal boxes at the property.
Mr Ryan Davies has been very helpful getting our keys replaced and advised help with rectifying the broken door too.
We received Ryan`s letter in a few days and a lovely note to explain the process of the pin fitting works too.
