Good customer service , outdated website, & RX filling takes days
We all know Costco for being the best for whole sale shopping, food court, and getting gas in our cars with soon to have EV charging.
Now on to Costco Mail Pharmacy... The stand out is customer service which even calls you when they notice the medicine is costing too much and verifies with you & insurance. I really love the customer service which goes beyond any pharmacy I have ever used.
Unfortunately for the pharmacy the website technology like the main Costco website is dated with no way to know if the RX is being filled, or when it will ship. Its dated to the appoint the website allowes one to fill the RX when Costco doesn't even have it in stock as to a supply chain issues.
Then comes the Pharmacy who calls telling you we only have two bottles in stock but you require three so call back on this day. (The pharmacy should) be upfront and inform we cannot get it in stock use another pharmacy. I had to call back as informed to find the customer service agent who informed we cannot get in stock and to try the Amazon pharmacy.
While I am have a fan of Costco I believe the pharmacy side of Costco grew too quick for Costco's outdated technology to keep pace.
Costco needs to update the technology 360 as to the growth and business.
