Runpod is the AI Developer Cloud for teams building, training, and scaling AI applications. Developers use Runpod to move from experiment to production in one platform, with Pods for building, Serverless for shipping inference workloads, and Clusters for scaling larger deployments. Runpod gives AI and ML builders access to GPU and CPU compute without forcing them into a heavyweight cloud workflow. Teams can launch GPU environments, bring their own containers and frameworks, deploy serverless GPU endpoints, manage storage, monitor workloads, and run closer to users across global regions. Runpod supports a broad range of GPU options, from workstation-class cards to high-memory accelerators, so developers can choose the right compute for prototyping, fine-tuning, inference, rendering, research, and production workloads. Runpod is built for developers who want infrastructure that stays out of the way. The platform supports common AI workflows such as model training, fine-tuning, image and video generation, LLM inference, agent systems, and compute-heavy applications. Startups, AI-native teams, researchers, and infrastructure teams use Runpod when they need flexible cloud compute, straightforward APIs, container control, and a path from early experimentation to production deployment. Great Tool
Runpod helps me to run different pods in ComfyUI I use it almost everyday now.

The price is good, and the UI is friend to tech people.

0 availability
When it works it's fine like any other but there is 0 availability and you end up just wasting time waiting for downloads only to later have to switch 10 times from network volume because there is no availability.

Server Services aren't reliable
I have tested serverless templates. I sent a very simple "hello world" test to their Text to speech API. I wait 1 minute for getting an answer. The website does not tell in real time how many jobs are in the queue. It is lame.
I created a pod, but then it was not available anymore. So, i wanted to migrate the instance to another server but no server were available. and then, when one server was available, an error occured. Then, it finally migrated to another server but this time 99% of the GPU was already in use by somebody else.
Conclusion:
you never know when your server will be available.
you don't know when your job will be processed.

Can't pull image from docker hub
Imagine pay for instance with rtx 5090 6.6$ per/hour that can't fetch public docker hub image.

Quality and ease of use
The first provider of many that accepts pre-paid cards like Revolut and very easy to setup with cursor, use in terminal or anywhere really, great prices and great UX. Even offers 5 dollars if you spend 10 and another 5 for every friend you invite. Great choice of GPUs at various prices and capabilities. Also very good UI so it is easy to navigate and easy on the eyes. I suggest using pods as they have great prices and a very good to use during long fine-tuning/training sessions.

Constant phantom costs.
Very dodgy platform. They offer some templates to get you started but quickly show to be charging you daily small amounts that are very unclear as to their origins. They will charge you for a storage volume on a hibernating pod that you aren't using and they don't show that cost when you look at the costs of the pod. 3 times already I've had to return to my account to find all my pods paused but my credits drained due to this.
You have to go and do detective work to find out what's draining your credits. There are parts of this service that are nice to work with but these types of practices are not a one-off issue. It's very clear that this is a consistent way for them to drain your cash which is sad cause I'd rather use those credits to actually use the pods.

Very frustrating first experience with…
Very frustrating first experience with RunPod.
I created an RTX 4090 Pod with a network volume for a ComfyUI video workflow. After funding my wallet and paying for persistent storage, I stopped the Pod to avoid GPU charges. When I tried to start it again, RunPod said the GPUs were no longer available.
The platform first offered to “automatically migrate” my Pod data to a new Pod with identical GPUs, but when I selected that option, it then said no instances were available. That is unacceptable: RunPod can keep my cash locked in a wallet balance, charge me 24/7 for storage, and still deny access to the compute power I need.
This makes RunPod Pods unreliable for any production or automation workflow unless users pay for reserved capacity or use another product. This risk should be made much clearer before users create Pods and pay for network volumes.

Awesome!
Awesome. I’m having a great experience with studying ai infrastructure, integration, and development. The cost is amazing for someone on budget. I totally recommend it for students and professionals alike.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot fully rely on the serverless infrastructure for production workloads. There were multiple situations where capacity seemed too low, instances were slow to start, or did not start properly at all. This makes it risky for real production use cases where stability, predictable scaling, and fast startup times are critical.
The platform is promising and can be useful for experiments, prototypes, or non-critical workloads, but for production it needs better reliability, clearer capacity guarantees, and more predictable instance availability. Improving cold starts, scaling behavior, and overall uptime would make the service much more trustworthy.

Bullshit
Bullshit. I lost my data trained in pytorch. Never gonna use. they are money hungry platform. DONT RECOMEND AT ALL> Lost money.

Not so good
Not so good. The pods fail after fail after fail — crash after crash after crash. They owe me at least $50.00 in credits because I’ve spent so much money getting nothing but crashed pods.
Whenever I switch them, they make excuses like, “We don’t own that container,” or “That’s not a RunPod GPU,” or “That template doesn’t belong to us.” Like, what the hell? It’s still on your platform. Regardless of the template being used, RunPod owns the platform but refuses to take accountability for their broken system.

Excellent platform
Excellent platform backed by an outstanding support team. I experienced a brief issue, but they addressed it immediately. It's rare to find such responsive and fair customer service.

Not worth it, too much hassle
Okay, so lets say you want to deploy serverless. You go and choose something and deploy it. But wait, if you want storage, you need them to be in the same region, so you go to storage, look at the available locations (keep in mind a lot of locations don't have storage, only gpus), then reference the availability of gpus in that location. You deploy it. Next day everything is unavailable. Price is higher than other platforms, not really worth it. If I look at logs for a container, then something crashes it just closes those logs and you cannot see what happened. Also the time it takes for the information to update is really bad even with good connection. Absolutely not worth it.

The amount of money I've wasted because a pod doesn't work, or a model or template stops downloading for no apparent reason is terrifying. Because you have to start paying long before what you want working actually starts working, mind you.
