The team of Runaway the Label have been awesome! I sent an enquiry yesterday hoping to see if a specific dress would be re-stocked. I got a reply within hours letting me know it’ll be a few short weeks until the dress will be restocked- thankgod!! These dresses are absolutely beautiful, my bridesmaids will be wearing them for my wedding!

They do not provide refunds on returns and force your hand to purchase again by giving you store credit. In addition to that they also make you pay for returns postage. So its cost me 140AUD to buy from a store that the sizing doesn't work for me. Pretty had and unethical.

Don’t buy a dress from them unless you know it’s perfect and fits perfectly. They don’t refund even if they sell you a dodgy dress. Seriously I could have got a better dress from Temu or SHEIN and the customer service would have been better also. They did not want to help me pretty much telling me that there is nothing wrong with the dress and they are following consumer regulations. I explained that I need a dress in for a function in a week and an half.I was happy to do an exchange until they say turn around time could be up to 10 days. I found them rude and unhelpful. You also have to pay postage to return. So now I’m out of pocket postage and a dress. Now I’m going to have to buy another dress. They didn’t care what so ever. All they care about is a sale. Worst experience!!!

My wife had bought a dress on here for my her birthday, she tried it on (normally a medium) and the dress was way too large despite the size chart. Sizing was very inconsistent, and poor quality material. Can't return it because I don't want a store credit, why would my wife buy another crappy made dress from the same people.

I bought the Olivia maxi dress in black. While the style of the dress was amazing the manufacturing process was not. The black dye came off all over my hands and nails while at my event. Without thinking when I got home didn’t realise the colour had also transferred to my whole body and I woke to my very expensive white sheets grey, I then proceeded to find grey finger marks on everything I had touched when I came home which I’m yet to be able to remove from all surfaces. I never thought a dress could cause so much damage. Before leaving a public review I contacted the company to kindly bring their attention to the issue for at least an apology. I did not request a refund or any type of compensation as I understand these things happen. But it’s now been 10 days and they couldn’t even find the time to a knowledgeable my feedback. I’ll never purchase from this company again.

Avoid at all costs. The dresses look great, sure - but they're very poorly made. I bought the Elsa Maxi Dress in July and wore it to a wedding 3 months later. After an hour the top of the dress had stretched to the point that I had to be sewn in which is beyond a joke on a dress that was almost $160.
Save yourself the heartache and just buy quality items from brands you can actually trust to get the job done.
Customer service initially refused a return because I'd worn it (incorrect under Australian consumer law), but as pointed out I am entitled to a remedy on a faulty product and now they're claiming I only had 7 days to notice the fault and 30 from then to return it. Just avoid buying from them altogether. The customer service is atrocious.

This place is a total and complete scam. I ordered a $150 dress I intended to wear as a bridesmaid dress. The dress arrived looking substantially cheaper and lower quality than the photo. It was absolutely unwearable. When I went to return it, I was informed 1. that you could only get store credit and 2. there would be a $50 fee for my return. I reached out to customer service to try to talk to someone about if there were any other options. I was first met with an autogenerated reply from a bot, and then when I replied (several times) asking to speak to a real person, I was completely ignored. Now I am stuck with the low quality dress and out $150. Avoid this place at all costs.
[EDIT - 10/31] After Runaway reached out to me below, I explained the issue, and they once again ghosted me. I have followed up eight times, and no response. The company replies to reviews to try to look like they will make it right. They won't. I am now even more convinced this place is a sham, and it is abhorrent that such a fraudulent company continues to operate. Stay far away.

Fabric is double lined but too tight on second layer near breast area so it flattens your boobs and makes it look like there’s a weird seam halfway up the fabric in that area. If I sized up it wouldn’t help so I’m not sure the issue but it looks that way upon further view of the dress model and they just angled it out to hide it

First of all - to not have a refund (only exchange policy) in 2025 is a joke and very backwards. I purchased 2 dresses not realising that I couldn't refund them as they didn't fit well - now I'm stuck with a voucher I don't want.
Secondly, their customer service is a joke! They told me I couldn't have the exchange because there was a makeup mark on one of the dresses - they didn't even attach a picture. When I finally got the picture, I saw it was the smalled mark that can be easily wiped off. They didn't respond until I emailed them a second time and when they did, Mia said " I had read your previous message and was removing the makeup from the dress myself - which is why I'm only responding now. That said, I have honoured your return, and have issued store credit for both items that were returned."
Saying that she couldnt reply to me because she was wiping the mark (it had been days) has to be a joke?? As I suspected, the mark easily came out. Now I have a voucher with nothing to use it on....

The fitting and consistency in sizing is very hit and miss unfortunately. Some of the cuts of the mini dresses are insanely small compared to other brands. I'm a size AU 8/XS in most brands yet I have to go up to a M in Runaway.

Super dismissive when I raised an issue about the sizing (a size 14 garment being much smaller than a size 12). Told me to measure the item and when I asked if they could do that upon return because I didn’t have a measuring tape, I never heard back.

This is the first time I’ve ever purchased from this site. The customer service is pretty unhelpful. The package was delayed by two weeks and it didn’t come on time for my event. I relied on the 2 day express shipping. I reached out prior to the weekend I needed it (at this point, it was already extremely late) and the package didn’t make it in time.
I recommend buying from other retailers. The stress and lack of care from their customer care is not worth your money.
Edit: Since the company replied, I wanted to make sure this was clear: I will never buy their product from their website or from another boutique again. (Not that they care. It seems they’re more focused on their supplier relationship with retailers, which allows them not to care about direct customers. It shows by the generic message left on this review. They clearly didn’t read it and just left a comment to leave a comment.)
