The rug design
The rug design, expectation with online vs reality etc is great, that met expectation, delivery also had no issue so that was also great. The only thing with the rug is the fluff, on this one in particular at least, I've had the rug for over a month and it's constantly being hoovered etc, but the fluff is never ending and a pain, it gets on everything, to the point where I can't even walk on it without shoes on my feet, if you drop something on the rug, that's it, absolutely covered, if I had known this I would not have bought. Something to be aware of.

High hopes higher disappointment
I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the customer service from Rugvista.
The rug was delivered in oversized packaging, but the delivery driver simply left it downstairs instead of bringing it to our flat. Considering this is a 3 × 4 metre rug, it was incredibly difficult to get it upstairs ourselves.
Although the packaging was intact, the rug had a strong damp, musty smell when we unpacked it. Thankfully, the smell disappeared after a couple of days, but then we noticed a fold/defect in the rug and contacted Rugvista.
Their response was shocking. Instead of offering to replace a faulty product, they suggested that we use glue to repair it ourselves and offered a 5% discount and after a long back and forward they offered %15. When we asked for an exchange, they refused, saying we would have to return the rug and place a new order. By the time this had been discussed back and forth with customer service, the rug was out of stock, making that “solution” impossible. No alternative was offered.
What made this even more frustrating was that I explained I am seven months pregnant and physically unable to package and prepare a 3 × 4 metre rug for return. This was completely ignored. There was no attempt to arrange an exchange, no practical assistance, and no consideration of the circumstances. They simply repeated that I should organise a return myself.
When a customer receives a faulty item, the company should take responsibility and make the exchange process as straightforward as possible. Instead, I was left with a defective rug and a customer service team that seemed unwilling to help.
I would not recommend Rugvista based on this experience.

Stained carpet!
The carpet arrived almost a week late (fault of UPs not Rugvista) but when it did finally arrive the rug has a huge stain in the middle of it! Instead of offering to replace the carpet I was sent advice on how to clean it and a minor discount. I suspect this was an AI response as it felt utterly cold and unhelpful. It was a real shame as the rug itself was perfect for the space but we will not be using rugvista again because the very least you expect is for the rug to arrive clean!

Awful smelling rug
Lovely rug. Let down by extremely bad chemical smell. The whole room stank. I had to put the rug in the balcony for a whole week to get rid of the smell. Luckily, the smell went otherwise I would’ve returned it.

It is not unusual for a newly unpacked rug to have a slight odour, as it has been tightly packed during transport. This is temporary and usually disappears after a few days of airing, as it did in your case.
To help the odour fade more quickly, we recommend airing the rug in a well-ventilated room or outside in dry weather, vacuuming it regularly, sprinkling a light layer of baking soda over the rug overnight before vacuuming it away, or, if needed, lightly misting it with diluted white vinegar and allowing it to dry completely.
If the odour ever persists or seems unusually strong, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service team at info@rugvista.com. We'll be happy to look into the matter and help find a solution.
