Attended a wedding and it couldn’t have gone better. Beautiful surroundings and great staff.
Gracie and Donna who work in the Spa area were incredibly accommodating too with their service.
Highly recommend.

Highly recommend.
We attended a wedding which was amazing. We stayed for two nights. Room was comfortable and there was a fan if needed. The bathroom was rather tired and could do with an up lift. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Went to a wedding and the food was rank!! Fishy tasting chicken nasty the starter was none discript pond like substance. Desert sticky toffee pudding was lovely. Fish and chips supper awful so I think you need to fire the chef and get some decent food. Other than that nice venue for weddings…
This week my husband and I stayed at Rowton Hall in their garden room. As there was a special room rate and no charge for our two dachshunds in July only normally £20 each, we took up the offer. We have stayed there many times in the past and loved it..but not this time. Room 6 was disgusting. The floors were stained terribly. The curtains filthy. Everything needed painting. The paint on the patio all peeling off with cigarette ends outside. And to top it all I got bitten in the bed with a nasty bite. Either fleas or bed bugs! It’s a shame such a nice hotel has let the standards slip so much. So very disappointing!
Staff excellent, couldn’t do more or be more polite. However, room very dated, heating not working ( though they did provide a heater). Had a bar meal, which quite frankly was worse than Wetherspoons without the free drink. Dry chicken burger and hot dog and French fries for £30, really? Had much nicer and cheaper stays elsewhere. Sorry, but not brilliant.
100 pc fabulous and one of the best hotels we've stayed at. Lovely staff, beautifully decorated with sumptuous places to sit indoors and out, spotlessly clean everywhere, lovely comfy bed and a hot, powerful shower, lovely complimentary toiletries in refillable bottles, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room, delicious food and the gardens are out of this world - currently bursting with colour. I imagine a wedding there would be photographer's dream. Didn't use the spa but it looks fab.
Our doggy friendly room had a doggy welcome pack and was located close to an outside door for trips to do you know what. He was welcomed throughout the hotel and grounds apart from in the restaurant of course. We ate dinner and breakfast in an area off the bar and they even put a water bowl on the floor near our allocated table ready for him at breakfast. Attention to detail everywhere made for a truely great experience. Can't recommend it enough.
Just got back from a lovely stay at Rowton Hall, we were invited to our friends wedding which was held there, it was stunning, the atmosphere, the beautiful grounds and excellent staff all-round, the double room we stayed in was very impressive and clean and very comfortable, my husband has not been well and could not drink alcohol during the wedding but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate with lovely tea and coffee service so he dident feel left out, the whole place was spotless all the staff work very hard and it shows, the staff did a wonderful job of our friends wedding very organised and made them feel very special and all the guests, the foods was delicious very tasty, we even had a swim the next morning in a lovely clean pool and relaxing surrounding's, we will definitely be going back for a visit in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and our stay, well done everyone who works at Rowton Hall thank you all for such a lovely time
This might sound like a review by someone who works for the hotel but I promise that we are in no way affiliated with them - just guests for a three night stay (a gift from my parents). We were simply blown away by the suite we were given - beautiful, stylish and comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was amazing. The only thing I could see as an improvement would be a soap dish - I mean seriously this was fantastic and I would not hesitate in going back.
First Impressions- Beautiful building in a lovely peaceful countryside location.
Reception- Friendly efficient service although the usual attempts to upsell us diner and breakfast (£14.95 ea for breakfast).
Communal Areas- This is an old building and there were lots of original features throughout. The bar area looked opulent and relaxing. We did not use the restaurant or spa, so we can not comment on that. There were seating areas outside but not covered or heated, but I guess for those who smoke.
Rooms- these were unremarkable. Old fashioned style furniture. The bed let it down (small double). OK, if you are short and petite. The height of the bed was less than 2ft from the ground. The mattress was topped with foam. It didn't in my opinion offer the luxury you might expect when you first arrive and I didn't have a comfortable few nights. There were two chairs, a table, a dressing table with large mirror. Tea/coffee, water and biscuits. Small TV. No heating on in rooms so a bit chilly at night.
The bathroom - quite large. Standard sized bath with both a hand shower and shower over. Shower screen was a bit of a pain and there were no hand rails should you need help getting in and out of the bath.
Overall, the room was ok.
Pets - we stayed with our Lab. There was a doggie welcome pack (Ball, chews and poo bags) bowl and mat in the room. The outside space allowed for him to be off lead and have a good run around.
Value for money- 2 nights (Mon and tue) cost £218. If we had had breakfast it would of added another £60. We were also charged 2% of our bill for a service charge (distributed to the staff). I don't like this! Not that I don't like rewarding for good service but it does and should be part of the package.
In summary I give this Hotel 6.5 / 10. Fantastic looking build in a great location but slightly let down by the rooms which, in my opinion could be easily remedied. Some areas in need of tlc. They were doing some decorating and maintenance of the garden too.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at Rowton Hall and it was truly a special experience. As a wedding photographer, I am always on the lookout for unique and picturesque venues, and Rowton Hall definitely exceeded my expectations.
Located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, this historic Georgian Manor House is the epitome of a luxurious and elegant wedding venue. The 8-acres of tranquil gardens and grounds create the perfect backdrop for a beautiful and romantic wedding.
The wedding was a true celebration of love and happiness, and Rowton Hall's commitment to making the day special was evident in every detail. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warmth and joy of the place. The venue was designed to celebrate and the sound of laughter and enjoyment was contagious.
The couple was able to make the most important day of their life even more special by having it at this historic country house. The atmosphere was serene and the surroundings were peaceful, creating the perfect setting for the couple to exchange their vows.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Rowton Hall as a wedding venue. The staff is dedicated and professional, the venue is elegant and historic, and the tranquil gardens and grounds are the perfect backdrop for a beautiful and romantic wedding. I would love to photograph another wedding at this venue in the future!
Kindest regards
