On their website they write that orders are dispatched within 24 hrs. On the confirmation mail after having paid, they write that the customer will be notified after the strings have been sent. Since I have not heard from Rostanvo, I assume that the strings are not under way yet, nearly 2 weeks after having ordered and paid for a complete set. No answer from info@rostanvo or alex@rostanvo. Phone number +442032860900 not valid anymore.

Update March 10: Strings have arrived! I apologize. Nevertheless, communication could be optimized. I really appreciate Rostanvo Strings - the best I have used so far.

I have still not received the cello g string I ordered on January 11th

No delivery 4 weeks after order. And no answers from Rostanvo customer service.
It is my last order at rostanvo. And really too bad because their product was great.

I am so surprised you ask about my experience! You haven't even shipped the product as of this time and date. So, I guess giving one star is generous. I'll probably have to cancel the credit charge in a day or two. Big disappointment!

After two months I haven’t received items, order updates, nothing… following a paid order (DKK 2.000). No response when contacting the company. Are they out of business?

These are fantastic cello strings! I've been using them for years and will continue to do so! The price is excellent for a full set, and the customer service is wonderful. The strings arrived quickly from overseas and have already been put on my cello.

I got Rostanvo to replace a very old set of Thomastik Dominants when I had a new bridge and soundpost fitted.
I find the strings quick and responsive; the tone across the strings sounds bright and well matched.
For example, a 'B' played on the A string sounds very close in tone to the same 'B' played from 4th position on the D string. That goes for the equivalent test on the other strings.

Playing a scale of an octave and more on the C string, the sound retains a degree of brightness even high up as does the G and D (A is always bright high up).
These strings are thinner than the Dominants. The A string ~0.85mm, old A string 1.0mm which was noticeable when using thumb position but something I can get used to.

My 'cello does not have a particularly deep resonant tone but is tonally quite even low to high and these strings seem to work well with it.
It must be noted that I don't have much experience with the plethora of strings out there, which would be a rather expensive experiment, but I'd say Rostanvo are a serious choice to consider: they work for me!

The strings are good, but I didn't get my 20% discount for my next order. I emailed Rostanvo twice, so this was the only way I found of trying to get them to contact me back, and for that I am a bit upset. The delivery was also bad and took forever, but that's 100% on the Deutsch Post, and not on Rostanvo.

Love the top two; they sound alive and have lovely overtones. The bottom two strings bend their pitch terribly under minimal bow pressure in a way that other strings don't, and are very slow to speak compared to my previous G and C.

No response to emails and messages submitted through the website.

The strings are brilliant. I have been using them for a year and a half and they are perfect for my instrument.
The one downside is that I was charged a customs charge, probably due to Brexit, when these were shipped from the UK to Ireland. There was no notice of this on the website and the UPS driver demanded cash at the point of delivery.

Love the A & D, very good service too.

Lots of projection. Bright sound. Highly articulate. For my cello however the C string doesn’t compare to the others. However, A D and G sound awesome.

So happy with my purchase of cello strings! Alex was very responsive when I inquired about my order. Shipping took a little longer to the US, but it was well worth the wait. Very, very pleased with my experience, purchase, and the customer service. I highly recommend Rostanvo!

I ordered a D-string to try because I have not used Rostanvo before.

I am very happy with the string and intend to buy a complete Rostanvo set the next time I need new strings. The D has a nice responsiveness and sounds much more mellow than the Larsen Soloist that I was previously using.
