We engaged Ross having spoken to few architects about an extension and internal redesign.

He listened to our requirements and came up with the best options in terms of design and maximising the use of available space.

Ross has been absolutely amazing from start to finish and has been in our corner at every turn. We shared our ideas of our dream house with him which he has now turned into a reality. We had a few ideas that were not within the regs, however, Ross had plenty of expert options available for us to choose from. Ross had an answer for every single question I had thrown at him and I knew I was dealing with someone that was really passionate about his work. We had a few issues with a newcomer at planning permission department within our council that seemed to have gone rogue but Ross stood a firm ground and insisted on submitting our plans which he knew were well within the guidelines. The plans were accepted!!!
We have had success with Ross from start to finish and I highly recommend using his services if you would like to have a very professional but personable experience with your project.

Ross came highly recommended from close friends, and I was very pleased with his professional and personable service from start to finish. He visited my bungalow to talk through various ideas for total internal refurbishment and small external extension, then came up with a few “drawn” options for me to peruse before settling on the final scheme. During the build project, which was prolonged due to delays from planning dept, Ross was always on hand to answer queries quickly. His fees were very competitive, with no ‘ hidden’ extras! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ross and RB design…you will not be disappointed.

Ross replaced our original architect on our project as we needed support in realising the true potential of our property. Ross was engaging, knowledgeable and consultative. The result was the home that we had always wanted thanks to his creativity and vision in optimising the space. We live in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and so our project had to be sympathetic to our surroundings and to our long time neighbours. We were delighted with the external aesthetics and equally important our neighbours gave nothing but positive feedback. It was a pleasure working with Ross, he’s structured, concise and prompt; in summary very easy to work with.

We bought an Edwardian property and slowly being refurbing and extending over time. We'd been looking for a reliable local architect who would be competitively price but be able to build plans sympathetic to age and style of house. Whilst not under any building restriction the local counsel are very conservative when granting planning approvals. Ross has been a breath of fresh air. Having interviews 5 architects we appointed Ross due to his candid, down to earth yet professional demeanour. He hasn't disappointed. He delivered a set of plans we loved having taken us through various different design options. He liaised with the counsel on our behalf and navigate the approval process in the face of various objections from neighbours. His pricing is clear and transparent and he responded punctually to our requests/ questions throughout. We look forward to begging the build in the new year and so pleased with the service have asked Ross to draw up building instructions and liaise with the builders on our behalf. I'd definitely recommend Ross.

Ross did a great job on our kitchen extension. His drawings fulfilled our brief fully and he made a number of useful additional design suggestions. Ross was also incredibly helpful when we uncovered an underground well and an unexpected load bearing wall. He was very responsive in solving the issue and making the necessary design alterations. Ultimately, his plans were easily followed by the builders and we ended up with an extension that was exactly what we had hoped for. I would not hesitate to recommend Ross and RB Design to others.

Within a week of first contact Ross visited my house to discuss my needs for the extension we was planning & measured up.
His fees were competitive & what impressed me was he sent more than 1 set of drawings to give us different ideas and made various changes throughout the project when asked without any extra cost.
Any queries or problems were responded same day and he was always available on the phone. I really couldn't fault his service, he's also a partying wall surveyor so handled that side of things for us along with the plans.
The planing process has been a stressful one for us but was made a lot less stressful having Ross on our side.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ross to anyone after either plans or a partying wall surveyor and will be using Ross for any future projects.
