No Support for Major Missing Parts

We bought a swing egg chair. The ad clearly stated that it came with a "fluffy cushion" and it did not. This is a special cushion, shaped to fit the egg shape. The only way to contract the online auction part of the business is through your account. There is no phone number and the store in Fort Erie said they are not associated and there is nothing they can do to help me. We can return it and get our money back (but not all the fees), but at this time, we only have one day with their seven day return policy. We emailed immediately and it took them days to answer. Now, we are out of time and must change our plans to have it returned on time. With the transport charge, 16 % charge and HST this is close to $300. Now we have to drive back to Fort Erie again to return the chair. Beware, if there is a concern, there is no one available to help you. All we want is the cushion that was advertised. There seems to be more chairs going up on the auction so a cushion could be easily acquired instead we received a form letter.

With all the purchases made.

With all the purchases made, I have been satisfied with what I have won. Issues have been well documented, and photos fairly clear. I recommend this site, but buyers must be aware, as is stated, to the best of thier knowledge.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Rose Hill does not offer any warranties.
I purchased a very nice humidifier from Rose Hill auction in Burlington on December 9th. The unit was working fantastic and I was happy with it. On January 14th the unit stopped working. I reached out, via email, to Rose Hill auction to let them know of my issue. They told me I had to go to the manufacturer for the warranty, I reached out to the manufacturer and they said they do not do warranty coverage for secondhand sales. I again reached out to Rose Hill, numerous times and have been ghosted. This kind of sales and service should be illegal.
Not sure why company such as Rose Hill auction would choose to provide poor customer assistance. I have purchased a few things from Rose Hill auction and thought they were a good business. After the dealings this past month I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ROSE HILL AUCTIONS TO ANYBODY.

If I could give a 0 star rating

If I could give a 0 star rating. I absolutely would. I've purchased what I thought and what was described as a tall white bedroom dresser. When I open the box to assemble, it was basically acollapsable fabric storage bins on a metal rack. I contacted customer service filled up the request for return and refund and was denied. I sent another message stating that even in the conversation that I was having with this person in returns, the subject line said 5 drawer, tall, white dresser. The customer service person said they were refusing it because further down the description, it said it was usable in any room. I still can't quite figure out that comment. They advised if they were walmart they would take it back but they are not a big box store. But as I say a 0 would be more appropriate. Buyer Beware

Refused a refund or return the item

Refused a refund or return the item, double dipping
I purchased an induction cooktop from Rosehill Auctions ( Burlington, Ontario) back in April. The unit was advertised as BRAND NEW. The unit was received with the box sealed with masking tape , hence open box or used. The unit did not work on my pots and pans. Requested a refund, they processed it, dropped off the item. Several hours after returning home, I received an email from Rosehill that they tried the item, and it worked, so they say. DID NOT TRY IT INFRONT OF ME WHEN I WAS THERE. I had my credit card company follow up 3 times with Rosehill and they REFUSED a refund. I contacted them in the last few days about picking up the item and they advised me that the item was considered abandoned/ no refund. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS GOING THROUGH AN APPEAL PROCESS. If I could rate then a zero , I would . Worst company ever to deal with. As an FYI, any item purchased from them is NOT COVERED BY MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. They bocked and closed my account.

The company replied to my complaint stating I missed my 7 day window for return. This was being resolved by my credit card company 3 times and NEVER DID YOU MENTION YOU SOLD MY ITEM. THIS IS STEALING.

They scam people

They scam people. They switch their products inside the Rosehill company in Burlington.

When I make a claim, they simply claim that everything is correct and that this is what I purchased, even though I explained that they delivered a different item, a copy, not the original. They take no responsibility for the products and do not issue refunds.

Since I started bidding in February…

Since I started bidding in February 2025, I’ve spent nearly $10,000 at Rosehill Auctions, only to discover that most items were defective, missing parts, or inaccurately described. Their listings lack transparency, and the team seems skilled at avoiding responsibility.

One of the worst experiences was when I won an item that was clearly misrepresented they refused a refund, even though it should have been sold in bulk due to its poor condition. Their unwillingness to resolve issues shows a clear lack of fairness and customer care.

While some purchases were acceptable, I’ve lost about 25% of my investment on unusable or incomplete items. Bulk auctions here are high-risk many flaws are hidden, and buyers are left with little recourse.

I’m sharing this to warn others: Research carefully before bidding, as Rosehill does not stand behind their sales.
