Roots Spice offers a nice array of fresh spices. It's the perfect addition to many meals, especially vegetarian.

I have already been using spices from Roots Spices, and knew how wonderful the spices are. Recently, I ordered some as a gift, and was amazed by the fast service and the attention to detail. Thank you!

I participated in the recent Kickstarter for these spices. I tried 4- asafoetida/heeng, green cardamom, mace, and garam masala. Initially, the spices were shipped within a couple days of the Kickstarter closing, via FedEx. Secondly, I was very impressed with the amount of each spice that I received for the amount that I paid. The cardamom was quite floral and fresh- smelling. My daughter loves cardamom (particularly in her coffee) and she immediately wanted to taste this right out of the package. She pronounced it incredible. She also tried the mace- it was spicy and also floral, and slightly numbing, probably the freshest mace that I have ever smelled. She's excited to try making an extract with this one.

The garam masala is a gift along with the heeng. I gave those the next day. He was completely blown away by the complexity of the garam masala and excited to start working with it but the star of the show was the heeng. I have smelled, and tasted, asafoetida before from the grocery and from our local Indian mart, and it was nothing like this. This scent was much rounder, fuller and a combination of garlic and onion and cooked leeks. He was literally so excited to try it that he planned the next day's menu around it.

These spices arrived quickly, were well packaged, and included enough to actually make a bunch of dishes. I am impressed with this project and this seller, and I am looking forward to trying several of his other spices. Highly recommended.

I really like the delicacy offered by Roots Spice. Oh, these flavors: cardamom, saffron - passionate notes. I buy spices, teas and even kitchen items for complete harmony. my house is filled with a pleasant smell and enchants my friends. Thank you for your suggestions.

These are premium quality spices and the packaging is very elegant.

The packaging was extremely neat and the boxes have a traditional look to them which makes them very pretty.

The spices are great with amazing aromas and great flavour.

I have received Roots spice. In my opinion Roots Spice are:

1. Very attractive packaging and spices are packed in air tight containers. For powders like turmeric too tough to open. Glass jar with plastic perforation sugested.
2. very high quality spices.
3. Kashmiri Saffron very high quality both in aroma and color.
4. Used in Marathi Dish called Shrikahand. Compared to Spanish saffron
the Saffron from Roots spice was 4 times stronger in flavor and aroma.

As a registered dietitian I have worked with various food companies and I am very happy with the quality and taste of root spice. They have surpassed many other companies in their customer service and quality of products, I highly recommend them.
