It was difficult to make contact by phone initially, but once order was placed I received regular updates and times given for delivery.
The driver was lovely and very helpful. The roof lantern itself looks great and was straightforward to fit. Very pleased with product and delivery !!!

This is the second rooflight I have bought from the company. Once I had chosen a delivery date I received reminders to help me prepare for the delivery. This was made on the agreed date and time, with the driver contacting me an hour before arrival. The driver was helpful and we unloaded the skylight safely.

Beware of ‘return fees'
Before ordering we called customer services to check the roof lights we were looking at could be used on a low pitch roof. The website stated they were appropriate but we wanted to ask for information regarding fitting lead etc. We were told normal roof lead could be used. When the roof lights arrived we were disappointed to discover there is a 20cm black boarder on the glass which SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the window size. A roofer then told us the information provided by customer services was incorrect and specialist lead work would be needed which would cost over £700. I asked to return the roof lights and understood there would be a collection fee, however, the collection fee and 'restocking fee' were astronomical and ridiculous! Would not use this company again and would not recommend their products.

Thank you for your recent feedback. We take all customer concerns seriously and have thoroughly reviewed the order history to ensure correct procedures were followed.
Our records show that your order was placed on 31/03/2025 and successfully delivered on 02/04/2025. Once rooflights leave the care of our depot, drivers, and handling teams, and due to the fragile nature of glazing, a third-party inspection and sign-off is required before these items can be resold. Unfortunately, this process involves a cost, which is clearly communicated on our website where the purchase was made.
In addition, the third-party transport provider, who primarily operates as a delivery service, charges separately for both collection and return. To help mitigate these charges, customers are always welcome to return items directly to the dispatch depot. All relevant details, including the associated costs and procedures, are outlined on our website, which is prominently featured to ensure transparency at the time of purchase.
Regarding the leadwork you have mentioned, and the costs associated to this, we would advise this is very excessive for the work associated to this and it would be beneficial to review a few quotes from other builders to justify this quote provided by your chosen builder. If installation of the rooflight was already within their scope. The installation guide on the website clearly shows the installation requirements for flat roofs and pitch roofs which we always recommend are reviewed by builders before purchase is made.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused and understand your frustration regarding the third-party costs. Please be assured that we do not profit from such charges and strive to keep them as minimal as possible. However, we are unable to absorb costs resulting from issues beyond our control, as doing so is not a sustainable practice for any business.

I’ve ordered from Rooflights & Roof Lanterns twice now. The lantern quality is good, and service was helpful. However, there were issues with excessive packaging and aluminium swarf during manufacturing, which caused inconvenience. Delivery was smooth, though. Overall, decent products, but packaging and quality control could improve. A mixed experience.
