I ordered a mystery bag as I was having a very tough January, including the loss of my cat. I not only received lovely items, but they all fit brilliantly, and one had been personalised to read ‘crazy cat lady’ - which gave me a much-needed laugh! I’d happily order again, and happily take a chance on a mystery bag again.

Whilst the product is good quality and the service is friendly, the fact they won’t do exchanges makes shopping with this brand high risk.
I don’t consider selecting a colour and the year to be personalising the item - and I’m not sure it would meet legal definitions of personalisation either, given it’s being used as a reason to breach the consumer rights act.
They did offer a 10% discount to buy the correct item but I don’t think many customers would see that as being value for money.
Real shame but unless you’re prepared to risk being out of pocket, probably one to steer clear of.

As a long term watcher, i recently bought a Rock on Ruby mystery bag, put notes in box for likes and dislikes, what came what fabulous... exactly what id have chosen, in colours I asked for! Really happy and all great quality! Already excited to wear my cheeseboard jumper next Christmas!!

R*O*R you’ve done such a stand out job with my 1966 sweatshirt. It fits beautifully, the colour is amazing and my kids names are on the back. What more can you ask for. Oh and the fact that it all came without any plastic wrapping whatsoever I applaud you. Will definitely be back to order something else very soon. Love love love it. Good luck to you Holly x

I treat myself to a mystery bag as the ad kept appearing on my social media and I couldn't resist - the only product I have had in the past was purchased on Vinted but I've always liked the products I have seen online. As I was excited about the 'mystery' of it all I didn't leave any notes - surely there were enough non-specific items they could send... Unfortunately I felt they took offence to my lack of guidance and sent me a bag of bland items - black, white and grey. The only thing of colour was a pouch bag that didn't appear to be one of their own as I had seen nothing similar on the website. It also included a pair of earrings that were awful quality - they looked like they had come out of a Christmas cracker. One sweatshirt appeared to be an item that was unfinished - I found something similar on the website but with more detailing. The items also had a fusty smell, I assume from storage. I passed the cap I received to my brother and the only item I kept other than a plain sweatshirt (that again, didn't seem like it was a product from their website) was the drawstring bag the items came in - the rest went to the charity shop.

What a fantastic company! I bought a personalised sweatshirt for my daughter with a Doctor Who quote. It arrived super quick, the sweatshirt is such good quality and the personalisation was perfect and looks amazing. The sweatshirt fitted her beautifully. She is over the moon. I will definitely order again from them.

Personalised and embroidered item received, with embroidery unravelling the first time I pulled the jumper on over my head.

I was otherwise happy with the quality of the jumper and happy to assume it was just bad luck. Sent them a photo, within days of receiving it.

To my surprise they have repeatedly refused a refund.

What should be simple in terms of statutory consumer rights, i.e. a full refund of an item found to be defective with 30 days of receipt, has turned into a protracted email communication. I've sent photos, more photos requested, they've sent a returns slip (great) but insisted that this is for repair not refund. I have the right to a refund. Who wants a brand new item immediately unpicked and repaired? Appreciate that no one wants waste but their quality control is where they should manage that, not the denial of consumer rights.

I am now seeking a refund through PayPal instead.

Sizing is really off, and they won’t offer an exchange as selecting the appropriate year, counts as personalised. Sweatshirt fit well across the shoulders/chest area, but sleeves were really long, body of the sweatshirt really long too. Disappointed, as not a cheap sweatshirt. Won’t purchase from them again.

I cannot say enough good things about Rock on Ruby! I recently ordered two of their mystery bags and they are honestly SO worth it. I was blown away by how much was included for the price, and despite being a "mystery," they felt incredibly personalised to my style they really listened to my notes.
What really impressed me was their customer service. I enquired about one of their designs that I had seen on a sweater to see if it could be made into a t-shirt instead; they replied almost instantly and were happy to fulfill my custom request!
The quality of everything is outstanding—so soft and well-made—and the shipping was also very quick. It is so rare to find a brand that is this responsive and helpful. I’m absolutely obsessed and will definitely be back for more!

Attempted to leave honest feedback on brand website twice yet both reviews have never been published despite ‘pending’ status. Also tried to engage with the brand via social media messaging and radio silence. Significant difference between Instagram story examples of other customers mystery bag contents and what I received. Mine contained poor quality items & inconsistent sizing. Influencer posts show much nicer selections and working discount codes (mine didn’t work). Company appears to curate positive image by suppressing critical reviews and sending better products to influencers. Waste of money & will not be buying from this brand again.

The owner is a mean girl, so rude and not a nice person. Avoid this company.

My order just arrived, two sweatshirts and a T-shirt. Bought one sweatshirt to gift someone but won't be able to. Quality is nice, colour and finish too but the sizing is odd. The shoulders are massive, half way down my arms and the sleeves would need to be folded back several times to sit where they should. Disappointed.

I have had 3 different personalised products from RoR over the years. They have all been of high quality and have lasted. Its a small independent company and have a very nice customer service from my experience.

Most of the negative reviews seem to have an issue with personalised gifts not being able to be refunded if the sizing doesnt meet the customers expectation. Its maybe worth measuring a top that you like and sending a message to ask if their stock size matches yours. The sizes I ordered were fine. But you can't please everyone.

Bought a sweatshirt for my friend for her big birthday celebration. So pleased with it and the fabric service. She popped it on straight away and was delighted!!

She’s a size 8-10 and we bought a medium, which fits like a dream!

I ordered a personalised t shirt from RoR and then realised I needed to change some details. After contacting via email, I had a response from Chloe, within half an hour, who assured me everything was as now requested. The t shirt arrived promptly. Well packaged. Very good quality. Communication from Chloe through the entire transaction was exceptional. Will definitely be using RoR again!

Rock on Ruby made me a personalised sweatshirt from ideas that I’d seen on their website. Chloe was amazingly helpful via Facebook messenger and the item arrived really quickly and looked just as I had imagined. I would say that the sizing is on the larger size, so would be worth sizing down, but my item still looks great and the quality is good. I will definitely be ordering more items from them. Product was mis sold and total waste of money. I ordered a medium ladies sweatshirt but it's more like an extra large. Far too big. The colour dusky pink is also nothing like the shade shown online. I won't be able to wear the garment as it will drown me. Very disappointed. Wish I'd read the reviews first! Don't waste your time or money.

I bought personalised vintage caps from Rock on Ruby for my daughter's rugby coaches, it was a group gift and I was very impressed with the quality of the product. I was also super impressed with how quick and effective the service was. I got various emails with updates on my order.
My personalised order arrived within a few working days, and all wrapped in sustainable packaging, even more impressed!
I will definitely use this company again when I need another personalised gift, and I would definitely recommend you do the same!

WOW! ROR went out of their way to make sure that I got my personalised gifts in time for Christmas. Customer service is so quick and friendly, really pleased with the quality of the items I received as well. I was totally surprised when everything arrived wrapped beautifully! Can't wait to give these as gifts!

Exceptionally poor quality product, sizing out and customer service unable to help. Straight to the charity shop, don’t waste your money!!!
