Robinsons for your Eye Examination

Everyone in Robinsons Opticians were very attentive and helpful when I visited for an eye test. The gentleman who examined my eyes answered any questions I asked. Then when it came to choosing a pair of glasses, I highly recommend the gentleman who helped me with my choice, such patience. Thank you one and all.

On examining a recent purchase I now…

On examining a recent purchase I now find the frame acceptable in that it goes green in only particular light, therefore the frame is good. However when the frame was adjusted and tightened it took overly long, and then I was told a new frame would be ordered ..I agree with that assessment because there is a small crack in the leg where they'd been overly tightened by dispensing at Robson's optician an error that should not happen accept maybe when there is a fault in production.
I will be quite happy with this frame once replaced with a new one like dispensing suggested.
However Andrew one of the opticians rang me and offered me a refund but that's not why I come to an opticians; to gain a refund...
I want my glasses I paid for.
And that's the end of the story
Capiche
I will take out insurance on my frames now that I know they crack so easily?!

Dear Mr. Burne, I am glad to hear the issue with the frame colour has been resolved. I understand a replacement for the cracked side is on order, and we are currently awaiting delivery.

You were offered a refund on the basis that you expressed great dissatisfaction with the staff you had dealt with along with the product you were provided & as you have made clear that your time is important to you, we felt the best option would be to remotely provide a full refund and save you any further visits. I am glad to hear that a simple replacement will resolve the issue.

I wouldn't worry about insurance at this stage. Frames are always covered by a warranty against faults (of at least one year, depending on the manufacturer), and in this case you were just unlucky in that it was broken during the adjustment process. Unfortunately, even experienced professionals can make mistakes from time to time. On which note, I am assuming the "accept" at the end of the first paragraph should read "except"? Just to ensure I am reading the message correctly. Thank you again for your feedback. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved fully in due course.
