The Dark Side of Robin Sharma’s Motivational facade

I never thought I’d write this, but I feel people need to know. For years, I respected Robin Sharma’s books and talks. But now, it’s clear that behind the inspirational words is just aggressive marketing and shady practices.

The endless emails pushing you to buy his book, his course, “last chance,” “door closing soon,” “save thousands today” — it’s manipulative sales pressure, not genuine guidance.

Worse, money has been taken from my organisation’s account for a subscription I never signed up for. We have clear proof: original invoices for one-time purchases only, no active subscription, and even written confirmation from his own team admitting the mistake. Instead of fixing it, they tried to cover it up — adding the subscription after we complained and sending a new invoice to make it look normal. A refund? Still waiting. Emails? Mostly ignored.

What makes this worse is that I’m not the only one. Many people have reported the same thing — money taken, no real help, no responsibility.

On top of this, I found the so-called “new” course I paid for was just old material repackaged under a new name. It’s misleading. And the constant begging to preorder his next book? If it’s good, people will buy it — there’s no need to keep bombarding people with daily sales emails.

Robin Sharma talks a lot about leadership, honesty, and doing the right thing. But true leadership means owning your mistakes, respecting your supporters, and not tricking people into spending money they didn’t agree to spend.

This has ruined my trust in him completely. I hope he and his team fix this for everyone affected — but until they do, I won’t support his work again. If you’re thinking about buying from him, check your bank statements carefully and think twice before you trust the hype.

Worst customer support I’ve ever…

Worst customer support I’ve ever experienced. I had an issue with a purchase where I was charged for something I didn’t realize I bought (seemed very sneaky the way it was laid out on the purchase page but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was user error). I reached out to support and asked about the surcharge, they explained that I purchased two products, I asked for a refund, and they stopped answering me. I’ve politely followed up several times and have been completely ghosted.

I know this is support and not Robin Sharma but culture flows downhill. This would NEVER fly at any of the companies I’ve worked at. Really makes me question his integrity and the value of his courses. Not someone I would want to follow at all. Would caution anyone from purchasing a product from this company.

Buy my book, buy my course, door is closing, quick, save $2,400 on this course and get it for $197, day later it is $97

Bought his Everyday Hero Manifesto which I actually enjoyed. Then enrolled to the online course to consolodate and get his 1 email a day boost - that email turned out to be crammed with sales 'tactics' ... get this $3400 course for $197, time is short, I'm closing the door soon - yeah right the door was open for months until I unsubscribed

I am extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed! My experience is similar to Jason's and I am also in Canada, I purchased THE TOTAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM yesterday 02 November and I didn't even receive a confirmatory email nor log in codes as promised by the video. The "Thank You" page video mentioned all details would be sent within 2-5 minutes its over 6 hours and still nothing.

There was no contact email address on the Thank You page, I searched the internet and found support@robin******.com and "Clientcare@robin******.com" email address on the autoresponder email. I received an extremely dated email same as Jason.

I just want my refund and to have nothing to do with Robin Sharma's company.

It is such a shame. I have absolutely no trust in his company or system at this point

Update 13 November 2024. Finally was able to reach the team at SharmaNation. Login and a set up with profuse apologies and it work. Gave an apology token too. Its fixed now.

Robin Sharma SCAM!

FRAUD. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM. As a fellow Canadian and someone who's always loved Robin Sharma, I am extremely upset about my experience tonight.

I never thought I'd use scam and Robin Sharma in the same sentence. Never meet your hero's I guess. What a disappointment.

My story is the same as so many of you have already shared. I used my credit card to purchase an online training program. I was sent a link to sign-in which didn't work. I tried using the reset password/info but the site kept giving me "Error! Something went wrong!" message.

I called their 416-962-7900 number which goes to a generic voicemail. No one answers.

Then upon submitting an email to support@robin******.com, I received the usual type of message...thanks for your patience, wait times are longer than expected, blah blah blah. Nothing unusual with that.

BUT...here's where it gets real SHADY! In the auto generated message, it says "in the meantime, pre-order Robin's new book The 5 AM Club! THAT BOOK WAS PUBLISHED 6 YRS AGO!! Like WTF?!

I'll work with my credit card company to get the charge reversed but I suppose I'll have to be on the lookout for future unauthorized charges.

The man who walks around prescribing the importance of values, principles, and character. The value of good, honest, and decent work. Snake oil salesman. Scam artist. Canadian Fraud.

FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES

FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES - Having always been a fan of Robin for many years I am disappointed that I am having to write this review. Being a leader of a global organisation myself, I hold integrity in business in high regard. My accounts team audited that money has been fraudulently removed from my organisations account without permission for a subscription that was not purchased. We have proof of invoices for two standalone products along with screenshots showing no subscription and an admittance of the error in writing from his admin team with an offer of 6 months "free" subscription despite having paid for something not ordered and without permission. When questioned, the team added the subscription to my account (We have screenshots to show it wasn't there before!) and issued a false invoice (We have the original invoices also downloaded to prove this!) With a refund still not being met, and after numerous ignored mails, my team has now handed this over to the authorities to investigate further as sadly....having read some reviews...I see I am not the only one. I wonder how many thousands haven't realised money is being fraudulently deducted from their account without authority? If his highly unprofessional and dismissive administrative team are anything to go by, I cannot stand by what he teaches any longer. Walking the walk and talking the talk is essential when you position yourself as a world-class leader and I don't see his team doing this currently. Very unfortunate as he has some genuinely good material but it is all tainted for me now and I won't support his work unless he remedies this situation. Perhaps when Robin's highly unprofessional "team" see this review they may respond back to our mails to rectify this unfortunate situation? Who knows? This is a matter of principle and not one to usually write reviews I feel it is important for people to understand that leadership takes more than just a few books, you tube videos and endless motivational e-mails. What really counts is what you do behind closed doors when nobody is watching. All organisations make mistakes...it is how they step up and rectify those mistakes as part of robust customer service that counts in the end...I am taking this on board as a lesson for my team and will be using this example in future onboarding training to ensure we always continue to walk with integrity as a coherent team upholding a shared value system of integrity in business.

Robin the blessing

Reading Robin Sharma's books has always been eye openers. From the The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari to the latest The Money Wealth Can't Buy, I am always awestruck. His books always remind me that I can be greater than I am, just by taking each day as it comes and planning for the next.

Thank you Robin, your talent is indeed a blessing.

"Robin Sharma: A Scam Artist in Sheep's Clothing"

Robin Sharma is a complete letdown. His constant bombardment of emails, begging for book preorders, is downright annoying. He talks big about success but doesn't practice what he preaches. It's clear he's more interested in making a quick buck than genuinely helping people. And don't get me started on his habit of selling old wine in new bottles – it's just plain dishonest. Save your time and money, folks. Stay far away from Robin Sharma's snake oil."

At first

At first, I believed he was a sincere motivational speaker and eagerly followed him. However, later I received an email offering a subscription to his courses, where I was directed to pay $1. After complying, I discovered that $99 had been deducted from my bank account without my consent. Despite my efforts to seek a refund from both Robin Sharma's team and my bank's customer support, I was unsuccessful. Now, I find it difficult to view him in a positive light, no matter what he says.

FRAUD Sharma: Fraud & Shameless Begger!

I am writing to expose the abhorrent deception and fraudulent conduct of Robin Sharma, particularly in relation to his "Magnificent Year Mentor" course. As a prior purchaser of his "Manifesto Method" videos, I was shocked to discover that the content of the "Magnificent Year Mentor" course was nothing more than a shameless recycling of the same material.

Sharma's audacity knows no bounds, as he shamelessly repackaged the exact same videos from the "Manifesto Method" course, which I had previously purchased, and attempted to pass them off as a new and transformative offering under a different guise. Not only is this an egregious breach of trust, but it is also a flagrant display of dishonesty and exploitation.

Furthermore, it is deeply concerning to witness Sharma's relentless and shameless attempts to coerce individuals into preordering his book through a barrage of incessant and intrusive emails. His incessant solicitation and badgering tactics are nothing short of reprehensible and reveal a complete lack of integrity and respect for his audience.

This deceitful practice not only defrauds unsuspecting customers but also reveals Sharma's true colors as a charlatan masquerading as a mentor. His blatant disregard for the intelligence and discernment of his audience is reprehensible and warrants immediate condemnation.

I implore all prospective customers to exercise extreme caution when considering any offerings from Robin Sharma. His track record of deception and exploitation renders him unworthy of trust or respect.

Joker 🐸

Please for god's sake. Tell that Robin FRAUD Sharma, that stop begging people to preorder his book. Just publish it and if people like it, they will buy it.

Every second day he is sending these ridiculous barrage of emails either to sell something or begging to buy his book. Have some shame!
