Easy to order and updated regularly

Easy to order and updated regularly. But packaging was minimal and box was damaged in the post. Checked on arrival and the feeder was ok and intact. A little more attention to packaging and it would have been 5star

Dear Muzeyyen

We're sorry to hear the birds haven't taken to the feeder yet. We really do wish you had contacted us before leaving this review as this is something we help customers with regularly who has this issue and there are a number of simple adjustments that make a real difference.

Small birds do sometimes take time to build confidence with a new feeder, particularly one that looks and behaves differently to what they're used to. We'd recommend hanging the PestOff alongside an existing feeder and letting the old one run down naturally so the birds transition across at their own pace. Positioning near a tree or bush gives them a safe retreat while they build confidence, and using 100% sunflower hearts is the single most effective way to attract smaller songbirds quickly, they find them absolutely irresistible.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews from customers who are enjoying watching their garden birds thrive. The feeder is specifically designed to allow smaller songbirds to feed freely while excluding larger pests — and when set up correctly that is exactly what it does.

Please do get in touch with us directly and we're confident we can get this working for you very quickly.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Very untrustworthy company

Very untrustworthy company. I bought 3 roam wild bird 3.0 feeders several months ago. What arrived were three 2.0. I contacted them and they assured me they are 3.0 as the base is 3.0 but the tube, lid and boxes of the 2.0 were being used on the 3.0 so save on environmental issues as they had surplus stock. Still I wasn’t happy but accepted their response. However a squirrel or rat has bitten through one of the tubes. These feeders are supposed to be pest proof and are quite expensive to purchase. I contacted them on their facebook page, only to be told by a snotty person “ well if you bought the 3.0 this would not of happened” if your going to lie at least remember you are lying to your customers. Are they 3.0 with a 2.0 tube or was I ripped off and lied to and only actually received the 2.0. Be very aware this company lie and steal off you! The feeders are rubbish. Stick to best known birding companies out there as I’ve never had an issue with them. Roam wild will never see a penny of my money again, and if you want to purchase from a good reputable company then steer clear of roam wild! There nothing but fraudsters!!!!

Dear Gary,

We're sorry to hear you're unhappy, but we do need to address several inaccuracies in this review.

Firstly, on the 2.0 versus 3.0 point, as we explained to you back in January, the differences between the 2.0 and 3.0 are in the lower assembly, which includes solid steel perches and Anti-Corvid clips. The tube, lid and packaging are identical between both versions and we reuse them as an environmental decision rather than discarding perfectly good components. We are not lying and we are not fraudsters, this is a transparent policy we explain openly to every customer who asks. If you check your feeders for solid steel perches and Anti-Corvid clips in the lid, this confirms you received the correct 3.0 model.

Regarding the tube being chewed through, this is almost certainly a positioning issue. The tube is made from high quality riot shield grade UV stabilised polycarbonate and is not designed to withstand sustained gnawing from a rodent that has been able to gain a stable foothold on or beside the feeder. When hung correctly with at least 45cm of clearance from any surface, squirrels and rats cannot stabilise themselves enough to cause this type of damage. This is covered in the instructions and is not a product defect.

On the Facebook interaction, we're sorry if the response felt abrupt. The comment about the 3.0 tube was factually correct, the 3.0 features a different material composite, but we acknowledge the tone could have been better and we apologise for that.

We take accusations of fraud and dishonesty very seriously. We have sold over a million units across the UK and USA, been independently recommended by the Telegraph and have thousands of five-star reviews. We are a proud family business that has traded since 1990 and we would ask that such serious and unfounded allegations be reconsidered.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Hummingbird feeder has no bees

A quick response to our queries. Product arrived well packed. This hummingbird feeder so far is exactly as described and the bees aren't able to feed at all. Very pleased and hummingbirds adapted easily. We would definitely buy another.

Roam wild sent me a well packaged brand…

Roam wild sent me a well packaged brand new bird feeder, but it was the wrong one. I sent a message and they arranged to pick it up ..they picked it up on 5th July . I waited then sent two emails the second of which they replied to eventually this week. .They said sorry, and said if I returned it they could look into replacing it. I told them they had already collected it, then they emailed me and said sorry for mix up and the correct bird feeder was on its way ! Got it today . Correct bird feeder, but not well packaged. No outer package box, the actual box had obviously been opened and the bird feeder stuffed back inside ..and sent to me ..Marks on lid. It hangs outside and i hope the mechanism works. I can't be bothered to send back ..just expected more from this company, as bird feeder was not cheap !

Dear Kay

Thank you for your feedback Kay and we're glad the correct feeder has finally reached you, we're sorry it took longer than it should have.

We'd like to address the packaging concern. As stated on our website, we operate a reduced packaging policy to minimise our environmental impact, and our packaging materials are carefully chosen to protect contents during transit while reducing unnecessary waste. In some cases replacement or exchange items may be sent without an additional outer box as part of this approach.

Regarding the box appearing to have been opened and the marks on the lid, we'd like to reassure you that this does not mean the feeder is used or second hand. Our products are quality checked before dispatch and any marks on the exterior casing may be cosmetic from contact with packaging materials for example and will not affect the performance of the feeder. If they do not come out with cleaning we would be happy to look into this for you.

We are sorry for the communication delays throughout this process , our team processes returns as quickly as possible once they are received back at our facility, we acknowledge it took longer than it should have to get your replacement dispatched and we apologise for that. We're pleased it's now with you and we hope you enjoy it.

If you do notice any issues with the mechanism once it's up please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Useless

Useless. Bird-proof. I have eight bird feeders that I fill with sunflower seeds daily. This squirrel-proof feeder is also bird-proof. It has remained full of seeds for days. No birds are able to feed from it. A complete waste of a lot of money.

Dear Veronica

We're sorry to hear the birds haven't taken to the feeder yet. We really do wish you had contacted us before leaving this review as this is something we help customers with regularly who have this issue and we're very confident we can get this working for you.

With eight other feeders in your garden the birds have plenty of established feeding stations they're comfortable with, and introducing a new feeder that looks and behaves differently will always require a transition period. The solution is straightforward, take all your existing feeders down except for one, hang the PestOff alongside one of your existing feeders and let that one run down without refilling it. The birds will naturally hop across once their familiar feeder is empty. Removing all other feeders at once is the one thing we'd advise against as the birds will simply go elsewhere.

We'd also recommend filling the PestOff with 100% sunflower hearts rather than whole sunflower seeds, the smaller hearts flow more freely through the feeding ports and smaller birds find them absolutely irresistible. Positioning near a tree or bush also gives the birds a safe retreat while they build confidence with something new.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews. Please do get in touch with us directly as some simple adjustments can make the world of difference.

Seed catcher - AVOID! Customer service rubbish too

I bought the feeder catcher for no mess feeding and it’s absolutely rubbish. Petals don’t fit together properly, the catcher tub inside fits so tightly inside it’s nearly impossible to empty, and the lid is so hard to screw on. I emailed and was told that’s how it’s designed, pfft. What a waste of, yes, £50! Avoid at all costs!!

Dear Laura

We're sorry to hear you've been frustrated with the seed catcher.

We'd like to address your points directly. The seed catcher is specifically designed and engineered to be squirrel-proof, which means all components including the petals, inner tub and lid are intentionally fitted tightly and securely. A loose-fitting product would simply allow squirrels to dismantle it and access the seed, the tight tolerances are a feature, not a flaw. We're sorry if our customer service response explaining this came across as dismissive, it wasn't intended that way and is a genuine technical explanation.

On the petals, the seed catcher is designed to mimic the shape of a flower, which means the petals will never sit in a perfectly uniform rigid arrangement, this is intentional and part of the aesthetic and functional design. They are designed to flex slightly to allow birds to land and feed naturally while still catching dropped seed effectively.

On the lid and inner tub, these are designed to be firm to prevent squirrels from unscrewing or removing them. With regular use and cleaning the mechanism does ease slightly over time. We'd also recommend cleaning the thread regularly as any debris buildup can make screwing and unscrewing more difficult.

We're sorry the product hasn't felt intuitive to use, we do appreciate the feedback and it helps us consider how we communicate the design rationale more clearly to customers.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

At last the squirrels have given up!

I had fought a losing battle with squirrels stealing all the bird food for months: acrobatics and simply demolishing the feeders. Searching online I discovered Roamwild Pestoff bird feeders and ordered one to give it a try. It arrived very quickly- very well packaged and clear instructions on usage.
I can vouch that no squirrel has cracked the "Roamwild Nut" and every morsel of food has been eaten by the garden birds. I am thrilled to bits!

The product is premium and works but has very poor customer service.

The product is premium and works. I have ordered 4 times from this company, purchasing in total 3 large sunflower feeders, a fat ball feeder and 3 starling cages. My 5th order is the only time I've needed customer support, and there isn't any. This is very disappointing, for what is a very expensive premium product. I intended to order a large peanut feeder and starling cage but when the order email arrived it was a small sunflower and starling cage. I fully accept this was probably my error, so I immediately emailed their customer service offering to pay the difference. This was on a Saturday, on Monday I received an email saying they were preparing the shipment for the small sunflower feeder. I again emailed asking them to stop the shipment. On Tuesday the wrong order arrived still with no reply to my emails, so I again emailed asking how to return the product. By Wednesday, still with no contact, I managed to get through by phone and speak to someone. The very nice lady had to speak to a manager and followed up with an email. Apparently email response times are 72 working hours(!). Once an order is placed nothing can be changed (so ignore the check your details carefully on the receipt email) and refunds will only be given within 15 (working according to other responses on here) days. I had to remind them that UK distance selling regs require 14 calendar days from evidence of posting. A premium product at a premium price with the customer service of a low cost drop shipper. Would I buy again? Possibly. Would I recommend to a friend? No!

Dear Nick,

Thank you for your feedback and we're glad to hear the products themselves have served you well across your previous four orders, that means a great deal to us.

We're sorry this fifth experience wasn't as smooth and we'd like to address a few points.

On the response time, our email response time is up to 72 working hours during peak periods, our staff work around the clock to respond to customer queries as quickly as possible, we thank you for your patience.

We appreciate that feels slow and we're working to improve this as best we can. We're also sorry the shipment couldn't be stopped, this is clearly stated on our website, once an order is placed and enters our dispatch process we are unable to make changes. This is standard across the industry and is not unique to us.

On the refund timeframe, our stated 15 working day window covers both our internal processing time and the time taken by payment providers to return funds to your account, this varies between providers and is entirely outside of our control. UK Consumer Contracts Regulations require refunds to be issued within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods, and we are confident our process complies with this. We're sorry if this wasn't communicated as clearly as it could have been.

We'd also like to note that when you did reach us by phone, our team acted promptly, speaking to a manager and following up in writing the same day. We're sorry it took until Wednesday to get through and we understand how frustrating that must have been.

We do value your loyalty as a returning customer and we're sorry this experience has dented your confidence in us. We hope that you'll give us another chance in the future.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

So happy that my little bird visitors can feed safely

Prompt delivery and easy to place order. I have fed back to them that instructions would be helpful and the screws more visible as they were hidden in the bubble wrap!
Having said that, I am very happy that Roamwild have now produced a cage that fits onto all their bird feeders which stops starlings stealing all the food very quickly. I have spent so much money on bird feeders, one claiming to be starling proof but certainly wasn't. The sellers have now removed this statement, perhaps they have met my starlings! The feeder itself was good and keeps out squirrells.
I was getting about twenty starlings with their young fighting, squawking, making a mess and bullying the other birds. They are contortionists and have long beaks but need to have better manners!

It was delightful to see a black cap happily eating mealworms inside the cage attachment and then perching halfway up the cage waiting for a safe time to fly to the nearby bushes and trees. I can watch them from the kitchen window and they come down when I call them.
The feeder I bought is big and well made and should normally last the little birds quite a while and I am so pleased that I can now use it with the new cage attachment.

Dear Jacqui

We're sorry to hear the birds haven't taken to the feeder.

We would like to point out that we have checked our records and have not received any email, call or message from you throughout the entire time you have owned the feeder. Had you contacted us at any point we would have been delighted to help troubleshoot your setup, this is something we do regularly for customers who experience this exact issue and the vast majority of issues are resolved quickly with a few simple adjustments.

The most common reason birds don't transition to a new feeder is that it has been left out alone without any familiar feeders nearby. We'd recommend hanging the PestOff alongside an existing feeder, letting the old one run down without refilling it, and using 100% sunflower hearts which smaller birds find absolutely irresistible. Positioning near a tree or bush also helps enormously as it gives birds a safe retreat while they build confidence with something new.

Regarding value, our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph as the UK's number one bird feeder, and has received thousands of five-star reviews from delighted customers.

It is never too late for us to help, please do get in touch directly and we're confident that with a few simple adjustments your garden will be full of birds very soon.
