I chose to support other charities instead.

I considered donating to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, but after looking into their work in the Channel I decided not to support the charity. While I understand their mission is to save lives at sea, I personally disagree with some aspects of their operations, so I chose to support other charities instead.

I nearly joined the R.N.L.I..

I nearly joined as an RNLI volunteer at a shop in Cornwall..
But it seems they suddenly changed their mind with me! Maybe one of the shop staff wasn't too keen on me? Perhaps I 'dodged a bullet!'
When I was initially asked if I wanted to join, I was very friendly towards them, so I don't understand it really.
Every time I walk past now and they see me, they stare at me then look away once I notice them!
IF there is any verbal abuse directed at me, I will update TrustPilot, and then take it further if I can.
They should remember I was once a customer and I am a member of the public, not one of their volunteers!
But now I would never donate to them if my life depended on it.

A minority of small-minded bigots.

I just feel compelled to say how appalling it is to see the levels of ignorant hatred here. I'm assuming these people don't care if other fellow human beings drown, or even if those who go out "in peril on the sea" should risk their lives to help save others. What a nasty little world these bigots live in. It must be very dispiriting for volunteers to read these stupid comments. I hope they realise that these idiots are just people who live to hate.

While the RNLI are complicate in the collect of illegal immigrants in the English Channel I will no longer be subscribed to this charity. This charity was built on the salvation of local vessels in distress not an immigration shuttle service.

Incredible organisation

RNLI is an incredible organisation, some of the racist and xenophobic comments on here are vile and reprehensive. We are all human and the RNLI does an amazing job of protecting anyone whose life is in danger. Thank you for being there for everyone.

Fantastic Products and Service!

Some completely shocking reviews on here and I’d imagine mist decent half intelligent people will realise which ones they are. Anyway, here’s a truly honest one for you to ponder over.
Ordered a hoodie and Xmas jumper from the RNLI shop and it arrived 3 days later using normal delivery.
Excellent price, is fabulous charity to support and communication with Chloe via e mail was superb.
Keep up the good work and ignore the clearly made up ignorant reviews which obviously expect the RNLI to just leave certain people in the sea to drown. Ridiculous!

Stopped giving my monthly donation

I stopped giving my monthly donation when I found out that the RNLI are going out to save the people coming over in illegal boats who are trying to enter the uk illegally. Can't believe that is what my hard earned money is going to pay for.

Don’t order from the online shop

I ordered several items for Christmas from them. The parcel was packed in a sturdy box, but most of the items were damaged. 3 packs of Christmas cards crumpled, a box of teabags was crushed and a tin of biscuits had the lid caved in where something heavy had been on top of it, and the biscuits were reduced to crumbs. Clearly, no care had been taken, and everything was just thrown into a box and dispatched. Never again will I do business with them and would advise other customers to think hard before doing so.

Hypocrites

RNLI Need to do the job they were made for and save the citizens from its own country rather than save the dregs and criminals escaping punishment in their own countries. As for begging adverts nothing stops your interest quicker than hypocrisy. Don't give these charlatans money

RNLI College Restaurant - Avoid!

I went to the RNLI College Restaurant on Wednesday 22 October with a friend. Lovely views from top floor restaurant. We ordered a pot of tea for 2: it was lukewarm so I went back and mentioned it to the girl who was serving. She said the water needed changing(?). We asked for another pot, for which she charged me. To prevent making a scene, I paid by card. No receipt.
I went for a sandwich which was hard around the edges, although in date.
To cap it all, I checked my bank statement today and the girl charged me 2 different prices for the tea!
So lukewarm tea, hard bread and 2 different prices charged for the same item. Never again and I would warn people about the standard there.

Do not support the RNLI

The RNLI are complicit with the government in bringing criminals, Rapists ,Burglars and all sorts of invaders that are not wanted in our country.

On top of that the taxpayers are being forced to pay for the up keep of these undesirables.

Any future donations from me have stopped. I also hope many many more British citizens also stop their support of the RNLI.

RNLI would not recommend volunteering

I volunteered for St Bees RNLI station for 6yrs in admin and treasury roles. The management team have their favourites and push out anyone who's face doesn't fit, I managed to fight it for a good few years, but then they eroded my role away, would not communicate with me other than to say my place was at home looking after my husband and kids. I lodged an official complaint with HQ which has been ignored for weeks. There have been a good few boat crew who have been treated badly at this station too. I wouldn't recommend volunteering for them at all, the whole organisation needs an overhaul

Migrant taxi service

Shocking seeing the adverts on tv of people being rescued and them not showing what the donations are really paying for.
The only lifeboats I see nowadays are taxying illegal migrants to our shores and I will never donate to this service again !
