Brilliant service today from Tobi F. We've been waiting 2 weeks for a broadband router and Tobi resolved the issue within a few minutes. No dramas, just a very polite and calm conversation.

When is marketing not marketing?

Started the process of checking on their website to see what speeds and plans were available to my address.
Specifically checked the box to refuse marketing calls.
Got the information I needed and didn't proceed any further. Within 15 minutes I'm getting calls off them. When I said I had asked for no.marketkng calls I was told it wasn't marketing and was an information call to see if I wanted to discuss things further.
Will definitely not be proceeding with them now.

Very disappointed with Rise Broadband…

Very disappointed with Rise Broadband so far.

I’ve been a customer for 8 weeks and the service has been far below what was promised. I’m paying for 1Gb broadband but only receiving around 200Mbps on average, even when standing right next to the router. This is nowhere near the speeds advertised and certainly not what I’m paying for.

I also paid extra for the upgraded 8-antenna router, yet the Wi-Fi range is terrible. I live in a small 2-up, 2-down semi-detached house and still struggle to get a stable connection in the next room. I’ve never experienced issues this bad with routers from previous providers.

What’s made this even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer service. I contacted the complaints department 6 weeks ago and have still had no response whatsoever, which is unacceptable.

Based on my experience so far, I would not recommend Rise Broadband and will be looking to leave as soon as possible.

Website easy to use

Website easy to use. Router arrived on time but no instructions on set up which was a packing mistake I assume. Rang helpdesk which was answered quickly and set up took minutes. Delighted with price and quality of equipment. Not yet achieving advertised speeds but fast enough for my use.

2 man polite came to my house…

2 man polite came to my house completely moved my Internet cables, i.e. router from ground floor over the roof into my office with No having no puffing very friendly voderphone said they will not move it and could not move it. I now have it in my office on the second floor. in the spot I asked Voderphone to put it in the first place I didn’t want to change, but I couldn’t talk to anybody rise Made no problems and got on with the job five star.

Internet goes down when wind gusts to 40 mph

Every time the wind gusts to 40 mph, Rise Broadband internet goes off for an hour or so. If the wind stays over 30 mph, the internet STAYS OFF, UNTIL THE WIND CALMS DOWN!!! I know it is not my rooftop antenna, or my router, so it is the backhaul dishes that Rise Broadband uses to link to the main server.
What kind of a company allows a gust of wind to cut off EVERYONE's internet for an hour, OR A DAY???
Here in west texas, we get a 40 mph gust every week or so. I can look at a wind chart and predict when the internet will be OFF and for how long. For years, they charged me $85/month for the worlds SLOWEST internet, and only when I tried to cancel, did they upgrade my speed, and drop my bill to $55/month. THAT IS PURE CORRUPTION, A SCAM!!!
DON'T sign up with risebroadband.com... you'll be sorry!

Shitty service provider

we ordered rise fibre 2300Mbps and when it arrived the service we recieved was only 840mbps and the router which they provided would only transmit the wifi signal around 6 to 8 foot in the same room. I have spoken to their technical department about the service and they have told me to buy further hardware to distribute the signal throughout my property. We cancelled the service after around 4/5 days within their cooling off period and still not recieved any money back. They have sent threatening emails about getting the router back which I have spoken with them and explained if the full money isn't returned that only part of the router will be returned also. I think this is a fair assessment of the service which they have provided. DONT TOUCH THEM AT ALL!!!!! Its not worth the hassle

This is a scam, be careful from them

I purchased a 2500 Mbps internet package, but I’m only receiving around 3 Mbps. I called support multiple times and spent over three hours on hold each time, but they couldn’t resolve the issue.

I cancelled the service, but they didn’t stop the direct debits on their end. I had to contact my bank to cancel them myself, yet I’m still receiving bogus invoices.
Even though I cancelled within days of installation after dealing with their rude and unprofessional contact center, they still went ahead and requested my existing supplier to take over the service, leaving me with no broadband at my property.

Be careful before ordering anything from them. They may offer amazing deals, but don’t fall for the scam. You’ll be dealing with issues for months, even after cancelling.

Do not recommend

Do not recommend. After installation i had no broadband for 3 days had to make 3 seperate calls to technical support being told something different each time wasting 4hours as long call times. Finally the last person request engineer visit. Once up and running i didnt get any services in my bedroom at all. That was the final straw. My refund amount is not right and I'm yet to receive it either.

Avoid

Do not use.
very basic router that would not cover the house, and when enquired about this, I have been told that I can go and buy myself extenders.
when decided that I would like to cancel the contract, there is no one to take the call regardless of 2 days of calling the custoner service number.

Rise Fibre 2.4gb and only getting 680mb

Install due when they arrived they failed to get the job done as they could not find a point of entry a week later another team arrived and installed the router and was told it would on the next day.
We signed up for 2.4gb as advised it was the fastest. Since the very start we have had the
worst speeds ever between 580-770 at various times during the day. Contacted customer service and was given 1 month extra free for the issues i have had. Totally not happy we were getting 850-900 with Virgin media but advised they would easily double that speed.
The DD payment date is supposed to be on the 30th of each month but the applied it on the 23rd and that was the free month.
I have now been sat listening to the horrible music for 28 mins on customer service which is a joke for a telecommunication company.
Was on to customer service for over an hour and the last person i spoke to was the most arrogant person i have experienced in years. He would not put me through to a manager or supervisor.
Basically i will end up taking them to court if needed for breach of contract as this little obnoxious person said it was not an issue that i have been duped into a service which is not as agreed.

Despite my address showing availability on their website, when I *call* it is not available. There was a whole kerfuffle last year when they *buried their fiber in my front yard,* but I guess that's not for me.

Diabolical internet service - DO NOT USE

This review is intended for Rise Fibre UK.

Just had full fibre broadband fitted, contract was for 1000Mbps. Getting 140 download and 83.9 upload. Internet keeps cutting out and Netflix etc. freezing. The service always goes off if more than one device connects at the same time. This full fibre service is worse than my previous mobile contract. Have tried contacting Rise and was on hold for an eternity until I gave up. This is not what I signed up for and seriously think I should be able to cancel contract as it's not delivering what they promised. Definitely do not use this company for internet - find another one.

Network down/ maintenance/ no prior notice

Why is the network down for over 2hours, no prior notice of maintenance to been carried out in my area. I checked the service status and it shows there are maintenance going on in location far away from me, in another county.
I expect their team to send a notice warning about maintenance that would affect services in other area. You never fail to send a reminder of direct debit when it's due but you have always failed to send a warning of network downtime or maintenance. Are you going to refund me for service not provided for over 2 hours?

Awful customer services

Awful customer services. Do not go with this company because they are cheap - there is a reason that they are. I've been without broadband for a week because of their ineptitude, go with the reputable option.

Horrendous communication with high drop outs

Purchased a contract with speeds advertised up to 1000 and the highest it has ever gone was around 250. We get multiple drop outs per day lasting up to 20 minutes and we have rang with no answer and emailed twice now with no reply. Horrendous company, awful communication and doesn’t deliver anywhere near what is advertised.
