Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 191 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed dissatisfaction with the product, citing issues with game balance, outdated graphics, and a focus on monetization through skins rather than game development. The user experience is frequently criticized due to a buggy client, poor matchmaking, and a frustrating ranked system that often pairs experienced players with new or underperforming teammates. Customers also report significant problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to communicate with, often receiving generic or unhelpful responses. The app itself is noted for being laggy and difficult to uninstall, while the staff are perceived as uncaring and prioritizing profit over player satisfaction. However, some customers were satisfied with the design and seamless experience of Teamfight Tactics, praising its animations and addictive RNG.

Stay away from them

10+ years spent on their "games". It's just a meaningless waste of time led by scripted matchups where it's already established who will win and who will loose. All to keep you playing in an infinite loop of going up and down.

It's like speaking to a wall, where you either get a nonsense answer, or one, that does make sense, but not in the context you were expecting it to be, so basically you are left full of questions either way, but they just close the ticket, giving you the middle finger

Riot Support? More like Riot Doesn't Support!

Honestly, dealing with Riot Support feels like you're banging your head against a brick wall made of automated responses. It's clear they've cut corners to save money, leaving genuine players like me completely stranded and locked out of our accounts.

Forget talking to a real person who actually listens. It's just a endless loop of canned replies that don't address the actual issue. You can tell it's all about saving them money, but at the cost of their loyal player base.

What's even more infuriating is their complete refusal to provide information about the UK Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process when their own "support" fails miserably. It feels like they're actively trying to avoid being held accountable.

If you ever have a real problem with your account, don't expect any genuine help here. You'll likely just get the runaround from bots while your access is denied. It's a massive disappointment from a company this size. Avoid relying on their support at all costs!

Why Riot Games is Beyond Fixing

The company itself had great intentions and a wonderful mindset before the year of Covid, allowing influencers to have voices and developers to engage with community, but unfortunately fell into a large downslope of irresponsible decisions and intentions turning into nothing more than utter greed for money. Games such as League of Legends and Valorant have unfortunately fallen into the "cash grab" category of games where maintenance has been nothing but poor and lacking. The game play has been fine with a few occasional bugs; however, the game in general has become something close to unplayable due to client unresponsiveness and Riot Games's poor response to issues. What is more upsetting is Riot Games's absolute lack of ideas as we've seen in coming seasons where solutions fall within the "players need to spend more to play more" mentality. Due to this, complaints of client issues, bugs within games, and demands not being met is met with more uproar as skin prices increase. As a person opinion, it isn't the gameplay nor the poor match making that has me upset, it's the fact that Riot Games, a multibillionaire company with a whole building and floor of teams, have yet to come up with decent solutions that don't involve trying to fill their pockets with cash or indecent trash that refuse to take a shower to cleanse their utter stupidity.
All in all, a one star rating is most fitting for a company where most of their games and the disgusting responses need to be thrown away into the trash.

The worst company towards players

Riot Games has gone from being a passionate developer to one of the most careless, money-hungry companies in the gaming industry. They no longer care about their players — only about how many skins they can sell.

The matchmaking system is absolutely broken. You either get stomped or steamroll, and there’s zero consistency or balance. Competitive integrity is a joke.

Feedback from the community is ignored, bugs and issues persist for years, and their support is robotic at best. They protect trolls more than actual players.

It’s honestly insulting how little they care. Riot used to listen — now they just milk the game dry. If you’re thinking of investing time or money into their games, don’t. It’s not worth it anymore.

Game is toxic and the employees are the same. They will steal your account for not being the one who actually created it even if you've played it for years and spent $1000s and only a singular credit card and can verify all the other info. The fact that an old friend may have made the account for you to try the game is enough to take everything you've invested even if you've never been punished on the account or even if you have had honor rank 5 for years on the account.
