Sad - this company has badly damaged its reputation

What happened to this company? They used to be so good. I ordered nearly $200 worth of goods in March, more than a month ago. I was asked to sign up to an app called Shop to track my order, but the app did not work and is clearly designed to capture consumers for purchasing purposes and not tracking. I have sent THREE emails asking when my products will be delivered, and they have all been ignored. We are not dealing with some remote country here: their office is in suburban Melbourne. I urge the company to respond to these comments (I see there are many dissatisfied customers) or fulfill their orders. And in the meantime, people - be careful about ordering from Riot.

Don’t bother…. It’s not worth it!

Oh boy! Where do I start??
I used to love Riot, I’ve bought so much over the years but now I wouldn’t touch them with a 10-foot pole.
I’ve made 3 orders in the last 6 months. 2 of 3 had items missing, all took ages to arrive, and there is zero communication on Riot’s behalf. I’ve tried contacting through email and Facebook, with no reply. They state on their website they are 100% online…. With no phone number to contact (I wonder why 🙄).
You try and reply on their FB posts and they just delete your comments.
I’ve asked for either my missing items or a refund to no avail. I know I’m not the only one. So don’t be fooled by their “massive sale”, it’s no good if they don’t send you what you pay for!

Orders placed in early October

Orders placed in early October. Most items delivered except for a few that show on my account (and have done so since October) as 'we are currently preparing these items for delivery'. No explanation or messages from Riot to explain the delay - and when I have left messages and sent emails to inquire (it is now late December) ..... I first sent messages to inquire in early December..... there has been no response or reply from Riot. So I feel upset that I have3 been ripped off. And those items that I paid for that have not been delivered had been intended as Christmas gifts - so I have had to buy other gifts for the intended recipients.... which is difficult as I am a Age Pensioner with only a very limited disposable income. So, whereas in the past I have been a loyal customer, I will be purchasing art and craft supplies elsewhere in the future, and am lodging a complaint with Fair Trading about Riot's customer service. If the items that were advertised can't be supplied, why doesn't Riot say so and issue a refund?

Cheap art and craft supplies

Riot Arts and Crafts, not Riot Projects, have amazing prices and a great selection of arts and craft products. Most of their stock is Australian art brands, some of them excellent like Matisse and Holcroft, for example, mixed with a smaller selection of international brands and a small selection of their products (Golden, Liquitex, Posca or Faber Castell for ex.) They have free shipping for orders over 80 bucks, which is an increase of 5 bucks since last time I purchased something from them. Still better than most online art supplies stores.

I've both from them many times and they deliver via AuPost. Product quality has always been good or great, except for one case, and the pricing excellent even when the products aren't on sale. But every time I check they're on some sort of sale.

The main issue with Riot Arts & Crafts is that the dispatch time is ridiculous and can take over a week or more, depending on the time, to get the products dispatched, plus the time AuPost takes to deliver a standard parcel. If you need materials for a upcoming project, this is not a place you want to buy from as, more likely, you won't get them on time. However, it's a great place to take advantage of their offers and stock materials before the ones you already have run out.

Another downside is that, due to the fact that their prices for good brands is below most online sites, the products I want are always sold out or out of stock.

My last parcel in April, took about 10 natural days to be dispatched. The last one, occurred some days ago, it is about the same 10 days. However, the shipping info on their website says that intercity or within the state takes average 7-10 business days, which is about 2 weeks, for the parcel to arrive to your place, not to be dispatched, and they cannot guarantee that either.

So, if they cannot fulfill the demand, why not stop and reorganise the business? Most of the negative reviews online are on this issue, so they're shooting their own foot.

Customer service by email is corteous but minimal and last time I asked why it was taking so long to get the product dispatched the answer was that they were changing dispatch procedures in their warehouse.
