rio-carnival.net is a SCAM site

rio-carnival.net is a SCAM site. DO NOT USE as it gets put up when the official Rio Tickets go on sale, and then gets taken down shortly afterwards, with no ability to contact them as there is no phone number and the email address does not get answered. Furthermore, you are only sent a (fake) voucher with the promise of tickets being issued the week before the Carnival. You will not get sent them, so AVOID at all costs.

Do not use rio-carnival.net

*** Do not use rio-carnival.net
I purchased two tickets for 2025-Carnival two weeks ago. I have kept asking them for the digital tickets, but they did not respond. I am cancelling the transaction now though my credit company. Hope I will get my money back. To avoid the risk of going to Rio de Janeiro without the tickets, I just purchased another two tickets from the official website: rio.com

rio-carnival.net is a scam

rio-carnival.net is a scam company just taking your money and canceling your ticket last minute (with no refund). We got an email a few days before the carnival that the tickets were canceled and we'd receive a refund but it never happened. I contacted them several times but never replied. Stay away from this scammy company

This is a fake service

This is a fake service. They do not actually provide you with any real ticket for the carnival shows. Don't waste your money here.

Teaching Moment to do my Research before Booking

This was a teaching moment for me to always do my research before booking with any service. Their website looked legit and were responsive during the booking process. Once I booked, I received an email that I would receive the details on where I would pick up my tickets shortly. Long story short, I never received a response after that, despite my numerous emails. I was still going to Rio and figured I could visit their office. To my dismay, they have no physical office in Rio. I'm out hundreds of USD and can only blame myself. I was conned. Learn from me and do not book through this shady service.

Beware for rio-carnival.net !!!

Beware for rio-carnival.net !!!
We have booked in October 2019 tickets for Sambadrom in Februar 2020. But suddenly 2 weeks before the carnival-show in Sambadrom starts, they canceled our tickets. We hope, we get back the money!
We will never book again via rio-carnival.net!

Don't buy your tickets here!

Don't buy your tickets here!! It's a scam. They let you pay for good tickets, but when you come to collect the tickets they will tell you the tickets where stolen. You don't get your money back and it's impossible to contact them!

Be Aware of Rio-carnival.net

If your going to the Rio Carnival (which by the way is a fantastic experience) then I suggest you look very carefully at where you buy your tickets from. We bought ours from Rio-carnival.net & had nothing but trouble. They have a very professional website - but IMHO that is where it starts & ends.
This company pulls you in with very low prices - & yes they always say if it looks to good to be true then it generally is.
They did not set up a proper individual account page for us for months, removed their t&c until it was to late to cancel, sold their own coach transfers which they simply do not run & charged 2 delivery fees for tickets & transfers (Despite their t&c stating one only would be applied & then would not refund) They then notified us of the ticket delivery arrangements & simply did not turn up at the place or time advised -- if we had not had been on tour that day with a local guide then frankly we would likely have not received our tickets at all.
Caveat Emptor -- let the buyer beware.
My strong suggestion is that you do your research fully (lots of other negative reviews about these online) & be prepared to pick a company that maybe charges a little more but one that provides a service -- which in this instance Rio-carnival.net simply did not.
