Employee: Chris Chapman

Extremely ridiculous company. RHP, Richmond Housing Partnership more like Rich Headache Providers. Had an issue with my gaff and the fella on the phone farted and said “excuse the gas we are facing severe turbulence in teddington”, asked him his name and he said Chris Chapman of the chap chaps. He thought this was a joke. People contact their landlords as a last point of help, not to be farted in their face.

The RHP are not professional at all

The RHP are not professional at all. I asked for house repairs due to mould, damage, and leaks. They ignored me for over 3 years, and the call was held for over an hour! I was frustrated and angry, I made a decision and took RHP to court and it was successful. They came and fixed and paid me 1k, they offered to get me a new carpet on the stairs but they refused to update the kitchen cupboard or get rid of the old water tank up the roof. I want to make sure the Richmond authority knows what's going on and contract the RHP. It was very poor service and the staff were rubbish and didn't know how to process. I don't know how the staff still works there. Too many people made complaints, but RHP didn't do anything. It's not fair to people because they are paying rent and taxes when living in a housing association! It made me really annoyed. If it's happening again and I will take RHP to court and I have the power to provide evidence. Shame on you RHP. It's so embarrassing because Richmond is a beautiful place where I live but unfortunately, the RHP are not good enough!! You are putting us in danger situation we are in and at risk for our lives. Shame on you!!

Incompetent plumbers who dont know the basics!

Incompetent plumbers who don’t know the basics.
For my first month of moving into one of their residences, I had no hot water. Each week I had several plumbers visit… not one had a clue. Most did nothing but look at the taps then left. It was total incompetence. They couldn’t be bothered.
I was having freezing cold showers which made me ill.
By the end of the 4th week another plumber turned up, climbed a step ladder above the bathroom boiler tank, turned a tap and at last… hot water.
Basic stuff!
It’s like the blind leading the blind… a total farce. They make a mockery of plumbing!
This week (my 5th eeek of living here) I was supposed to have my washing machine installed.
The installer from curry’s couldn’t install it as when he removed a panel that hid the pipes he found painted over mould and 2 leaks and no stop-cokk handle to switch off the water. I had to then have yet another RHP plumber come out to sort this problem.
As a result he appeared to have no idea what he was doing. He didn’t shut off the water and unscrewed a pipe…When the water started to gush out from the pipe, he let it pour everywhere and flooded my kitchen floor which was laminated 2 weeks ago at my expense and also flood the cupboard below the sink unit. God only knows how much water is under the bottom of the cupboard… they are not interested.
The manager offered me a dehumidifier but refused this when he found out that I had installed laminate floor.
The laminate floor has buckled so I have had to pull it it up where I can and the underlay underneath is saturated.
They couldn’t care less.
I am traumatised and angry by the whole ordeal.
I can’t recognise myself at present as all I feel is frustration, anger and despair.
My confidence in their plumbers … it’s zero. They rush jobs…they turn up… do nothing and leave… I’ve never seen anything like it…
If I could have added zero stars… I would have chosen this but the only option is one and they certainly don’t deserve this.
If there is a company in hell that deals with housing issues… it’s RHP !

RHP are shameful & callous

RHP are shameful & callous. I have a criminal issue with someone in a flat below me manufacturing drugs & the fumes coming into my flat are overwhelming myself & my dog. I have felt unable to breathe & intoxication from these fumes & I’ve been forced to evacuate my flat & rely on friends’ sofas & sleeping in my car.
RHP have barely communicated with me on this despite emails from myself, local M.P’s & Citizens advice. I am now homeless through no fault of my own & RHP continue to stonewall & gaslight me. They have not even offered me temporary accommodation. I suggested repeatedly that they send someone to my flat to witness the fumes but they ignore this invitation & continue to do nothing whilst implying my mental health may be the issue. I’m shocked & outraged at their level of service, how are they able to get away with this?

no one gives a fly fudge.

I have been a tenant with RHP for the last TEN years at the same property. I was the first resident to move in to this brand new block of flats, Over this time, I have seen a significant decline in the maintenance of the communal areas of the block of flats, and there has also been a decline in the domestic "RHP in-house" repair service for the internal working of the flats themselves. We also deal with missed or unattended appointments. Appointment dates changed on the day of the booked appointment, and the wrong tradesman was sent for the repair type needed.
Six months have passed since we asked for simple signs to be put up at the community entrance to the flats, asking for deliveries not to be left there because of constant theft. Still, no signs, and to top it off, we have been told that any signage put up by the resident will be removed, so you can imagine the response to a request for CCTV to be commissioned in this area.
There have also been antisocial tenants moved in, which has led to their door being kicked in by the police regularly, Dogs kept in the flats leading to big urin staines on the communal hallway capets and the stench that goes with it, there is no atempt to cleaan it up, and no evictions for these tenants, and we have to endure this regardless of how much we complain, rent is increased, no one wants to take responsibility, no one is accountable, and these days no one cares, and that's got to say it all really, it's a sad fact, no one gives a fly fudge.

Yet again another issue with RHP.

Yet again another issue with RHP.
I have been with them for 20 years now and since they moved a new tenant above me the last few years have been hard.

I signed my contract which states we cannot have a dog unless we have an outside space. Me and the flat above have no outside space.

The tenant upside has recently got himself a large bull breed dog. It is loud its reactive towards other dogs in the street.

I have a phobia of large dogs and I have to share the communal staircase and hall with this thing. The stairs and doorways are narrow and twisty. I can't see this dog if its coming down the stairs when I enter the building. I am petrified to use the communal entrance when I do I am close to a panic attack. I aviod going out now.

This dog has left me unable to come and go from my flat easily and safely.

Regardless of the policies of RHP, including the tenancy agreement and the policy stated on their website they have told me its fine for the tenant to have this dog.

As wait for it: it MIGHT be a therapy dog. Not it is a therapy dog it might be one. And it MIGHT be for mental health.

So basically what RHP are saying is that they will make an exception for him to break his tenancy for mental health reasons. But wont tell him to remove the dog despite it ruining my mental health.

This is double standards and hypocrisy from RHP essentially saying the tenant with the dogs mental health is more important than mine. The advisors I have spoken to have been dismissive of my mental health whilst saying he gets to keep the dog for his mental health.

The only action they will take is to send him a letter asking him to keep the dog quiet. How does that help me use the communal hallway?

They fully admitted that the policy and tenancy says he should not have a dog in the building and that they will NOT be following this policy.

One week after the fire

One week after the fire — a full week ago — Richmond Housing Partnership „repaired” the main fuse box, yet our flats are still without power. It broke again today! Hard to believe this is real.

RHP are awful

RHP are awful. They will go to any lengths to avoid actually doing anything useful or resolving any issues

Repairs aren't done properly. They take forever to get done. With operatives often not turning up.

The people dealing with Issues have been dismissive to my mental health struggles being made worse by where I am living.

Basically they don't care. They just don't want to actually do anything.

RHP recently advertised a celebration…

RHP recently advertised a celebration in my neighborhood for their 25-year milestone as leaders in social housing. It seems like they're quite proud of themselves, but tenants would likely disagree. From what I've seen, they're far from being the fantastic landlords they claim to be. In reality, dealing with them has been a nightmare. I wouldn't advise anyone considering a move to Richmond to rent through this company, as it might lead to a dreadful experience!

I would give a 0 star if i could. Very poor practices and zero customer service. They take your service charge but in return, you only get grief and no action when you flag an issue. Very poor!

Rhp doesn't stand for Reliable Honest…

Rhp doesn't stand for Reliable Honest and Present but the opposite. This group of people should understand how dangerous is the disservice they are causing whilst they make a living out of this shameless disgrace. Rhp is a Nuisance. Give residents of each estate a stable adequate Customer Support Agent present in location to have civilized conversations about all issues and a Building Manager instead of this Team Concept which is not Customer Service. The way that Rhp pretends to run its operations is NOT LEGAL.

Communial stairwell lighting has not…

Communial stairwell lighting has not worked for over a week. I have made several telephone calls and emails. My father is an 88 year old disabled man who lives with me which RHP are aware of. I have explained to them that if there was an emergency I could not get my father out of the building or if I needed to call an ambulance as there is no lighting and it is pitch black. My latest email from them was this morning which said. " if the contractors have time they will swing round and have a look" It should be classed as an emergency situation due as its the only emergency exit. Not only are they putting my father at risk also the other tenants. Looking at RHP reviews 2 star for their service make sense.

I was promised a new worktop in my…

I was promised a new worktop in my kitchen last year after it was inspected by your supervisor John Pullen. Since then I've been refused even though it's scratched and damaged . My kitchen is 22 years old and I have been told I have to wait till 2029 for a review with no guarantee it will be upgraded . I thought it was every 20 years for kitchen replacement . Last year contractors trashed my flat with damages of over £9.000 and as a disabled pensioner I had to live in a bed and breakfast for a month which was distressing and I now have PTSD . I was told if they did replace the worktop it would be a different colour because I'm not worth a new kitchen because I've looked after my home . Also John Pullen took photos inside my kitchen cupboard which contained my medication which is against data protection but this wasn't taken seriously. My windows are 31 years old and we're up for an upgrade this year but this has been cancelled. RHP send in contactors who don't respect people's homes and it's just cheap workmen who are unskilled and can't even fix a door . I'm very upset and fed up if being ignored and dismissed because I'm old

rhp DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR

rhp put up an ad in my block to join a party to celebrate their 25 years as social housing experts. Are they mad? They view themselves as wonderful. In truth from tenants experience they are sheer hellish landlords. The worst in my experience. In truth they have been truly terrible and I would not recommend anyone moving to richmond to rent with this company.as their lives may be hell!

Extremely Disappointed with RHP Group – Serious Issues Ignored

I am incredibly disappointed with the service I’ve received from RHP Group. My apartment has been affected by serious black mould and water damage on several walls, including the ceiling. This isn’t a minor issue – it’s a health hazard that has been left unresolved despite multiple reports. The mould continues to spread, and there has been no meaningful response or action from RHP to address the root cause or carry out proper repairs.

To make matters worse, I took a full day off work for an all-day appointment that RHP scheduled to inspect and hopefully begin addressing the damage. Not only did no one show up, but there was also no courtesy call, no update, and absolutely no communication whatsoever. My time was completely wasted, and I’m now left chasing them for answers while continuing to live in unacceptable conditions. The mould has been on going for the last 3 months to the point where I have had to go to hospital for scans due to having a very aggressive cough for the last 2 months which can’t be a coincidence. I am now waiting for the results to see why I can’t stop coughing. Not sure if I can take legal action or not but I need to look into this further.

Do yourself a favour if you come across a property that is affiliated to the following companies:
- RHP group
- Redrow group
- Rendel & Rittner
Just avoid them. Keep your money and buy from a different company.
