Revid.ai software is fairly easy to use. When editing or telling the ai the story you want, I echo the the story in my head and imagine how an alien that understands our language and culture would react. Did I provide the details necessary to provide enough imagination for the computer to render the way I imagine the scene to be? I trust that wasn't too confusing. It makes genius sense to me!

Revid.ai is one of the sketchiest subscription services I’ve dealt with. Confusing billing, hidden auto-renewals, difficult cancellation, and support refusing refunds after charging me for months. This business model feels designed to trap users into recurring payments.

I subscribed to the Elite plan expecting a professional AI video generation tool, but honestly Revid AI has been one of the most frustrating platforms I’ve used, especially considering the $89/month price tag.

The biggest issue is that the AI simply does not follow prompts or scripts correctly. I created a detailed video about giant snakes and prehistoric serpents, and the generated scenes were completely unrelated to what I described.

The video was supposed to focus entirely on snakes, yet the first generated scene randomly showed a turtle. The second scene showed a catfish. Another scene that was supposed to show an anaconda crushing its prey generated a tiny thin snake sitting on a roof. I also described a massive 8–9 meter python, but the AI generated a woman casually holding a snake that looked maybe 1–2 meters long. The scale was completely wrong and destroyed the entire purpose of the scene.

I also created detailed prompts for Titanoboa and other prehistoric giant snakes. Instead of generating enormous ancient serpents, Revid created tiny snakes, blurry black visuals, random shapes, or completely unrelated backgrounds where you could barely even identify a snake at all. One scene was supposed to show a dramatic reveal of a giant serpent, but the output looked corrupted rather than cinematic.

I even included scenes about Vasuki, the prehistoric snake discovered in India that may have reached around 15 meters in length. Once again, the AI completely failed to represent the scale or concept described in the script. There were no giant snakes, no sense of size, and often no usable subject at all.

What makes this more frustrating is that Revid sometimes clearly understands the topic because it generated a thumbnail for the snake video that actually matched the idea perfectly. The title and thumbnail recognized the concept correctly, yet the actual generated video completely changed the subject into random unrelated content. It honestly feels like the AI decides on its own what kind of video it wants to make instead of following the user’s instructions.

Another major problem is editing. Revid generates what feels like a rough RAW version of a video, but most of it is unusable and requires constant corrections outside the platform. Thumbnails also need to be remade repeatedly because they often do not properly match the final topic or quality expected.

It was extremely difficult just to create a decent 2–3 second cinematic opening hook. The platform constantly fights against the workflow instead of supporting it. Scene durations are also ignored regularly. Even when I specify exact timing for scenes, Revid changes the pacing anyway, forcing additional editing afterward.

Another extremely frustrating issue is that upgrading from the Basic generation options to the more expensive Pro generation mode did not improve the quality at all. In fact, this is where I lost the most credits. Large generations costing 1200+ credits frequently produced completely unusable videos. That meant I had to regenerate entire videos again and again or manually replace scene after scene trying to fix broken outputs.

Because of this workflow, it became incredibly easy to waste huge amounts of credits in a single day without receiving even one usable video. There were days where I spent nearly 10,000 credits and still ended up with no finished content worth uploading.

Because of all these issues, I wasted over 10,000 credits trying to regenerate scenes, repair broken outputs, and recreate videos that should have worked correctly from the beginning. I originally had around 24,000 credits and lost well over half of them simply trying to make the videos usable.

At this price point, these problems are unacceptable. There are significantly cheaper tools with better prompt accuracy, better scene consistency, better editing flexibility, and more reliable outputs overall. Honestly, ChatGPT image generation produced more accurate visuals for my ideas than Revid’s actual video engine.

The platform currently feels unfinished, inconsistent, and extremely frustrating to use professionally. Instead of saving time, it wasted a huge amount of my credits, time, and patience.

Easy process, clear directions, even if you are a first time user.

They make pretty good videos. Watch your settings and you'll get what you want. Takes a lot of credits, though. Never enough credits per month.

Revid Ai has suspicious payment system. Once you pay for subscription, you are giving them auto payment deduction option. Even though you you cancel auto deduction, they still deduct from saved card and when you tried to contact them, there is no specific support to create refund request ticket like other platform. Once email them continuously in the email they have to contact, they don't even respond to you for refund request. I had to request my bank to block this platform for future deductions. That's what happened to me. I wanted to create review on google business page, unfortunately they only have Trustpilot where we can share our experience.

Im new to using AI and Revid makes it easy for me to use. in a 2 month period i have produced just under 60 videos and for me thats a great accomplishment. the videos have great quality and im very happy
