Hi Chantelle,

Thanks for your review and playing our competitions, however I'm not sure what you mean by adding ourselves to trusted payments?

If this is something you have spotted on your banking app then that's not something we (or any company) could do - trusted payments are controlled completely by yourself or the banking application itself.

When you buy tickets from us we simply use a global payment provider (checkout.com) that is used by medium and large companies all around the world to handle millions of transactions every day with the highest levels of security. They apply for payment and once its made we allocate your tickets, that's all we do.

Maybe when you made a ticket purchase it asked you if you wanted to add our company to trusted payments and you accidentally clicked yes, or maybe if you have purchased from us several times the banking app automatically added our company, but either way it was not something we set up.

Suggesting we are a "Scam" is simply not true. We are one of the largest and most trusted competition sites in the industry, with over 6000 vehicle winners in our first 7 years, and hundreds of thousands of other winners too. We are rated Excellent by our customers on Trustpilot with one of the highest 5* trust scores of any competition site. You are in safe hands with us 🤝

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for playing our competitions and sorry you feel the service we offer is so poor.

However, to suggest our draws are in any way "predetermined" is simply not true. We have hundreds of new winners every week, including 10-15 vehicle winners, and the vast majority of people who win with us do so for the very first time. We have winners from the bottom of Cornwall to the Scottish Islands as well as all across Wales and Ireland too.

We do have a small percentage of players who have won more than once - these customers usually buy a lot of tickets every week, especially on the low odds prizes, plus when someone wins with us it doesn't change their chances of winning again - every single draw is completely independent of all other draws.

Please take a look at the complete vehicle winners list below and you will see so many different names from all over the UK & Ireland - every winner since we started 7 years ago is listed on this page.

The winning numbers for every draw we run are completely random. Whether it’s an auto draw or our live draw ball machine we simply draw a random number within the range of numbers available for that draw, and if that number has been sold then that is the winner. If the number is unsold, we draw again until we get a winner.

The draw system has no way of knowing who bought that ticket, where they are in the country, or if they have won before, and every number in the draw has exactly the same chance of winning as any other. It's only once the winning number is drawn that we look up the details of who had that ticket and announce the winner.

The entry lists for all draws are on our website for everyone to see before, during and after the draw, so the draw is completely transparent.

Also, please bear in mind that most of our vehicle prizes are drawn live using our ball machine with thousands of people watching online. The ball machine uses air pressure in each drum to spin the balls and at a random interval the ball hopper (at the top) opens to receive a random winning ball to make up the overall winning number. There is no way this can prioritise any number, it's completely mechanical and entirely random.

Thank you for your feedback and the suggestions you have made.

We take all feedback constructively and we do fully recognise the responsibility we have in this industry. More about that further down my reply 👍

You are correct, the industry has exploded in recent years and is over saturated. There are so many competition sites now, many with horrendous odds, most offering "instant win" draws, some appear and disappear within weeks, many are not even UK registered companies and (frankly) some results are questionable.

There is even a market now for "create your own comp site" from Web hosting companies which is why so many of these smaller sites appear overnight and look the same - offering almost exclusively instant wins, this also needs to change.

We are however one of the original, and largest, competition sites in the sector, with arguably the best odds of any site and we keep margins as low as possible while taking our social responsibility very seriously.

Also, while we are completely independent of other sites, we consider ourselves to be part of a small group of original and highly trusted sites who communicate together regularly on how to improve and protect the industry and its players.

To give an example where we feel we lead the way - It would be an easy and significant revenue boost for Rev Comps to go down the same "instant win" path as nearly every other competition site has done, but its not something we would do. We recognise the impact instant win draws have on players, vastly increased spending and addictive play, so we continue to run only fixed odds competitions, drawn at a set date and time in the future, and with the lowest maximum tickets per player of any site.

You say there is need for big change in this industry, I fully agree 🤝
We have already taken steps on the updated web site to help players control their spending by removing the ability to add money to wallets, allowed players to set a weekly play limit on their account, and as we have grown we've expanded our support team to respond quickly day and night if a player reaches out to us for support. In recent weeks we have also reduced duplicate tech draws on the site and introduced penny comps so customers can still play for a great prize but with far cheaper tickets.

We appreciate more is needed, and this is just the start! Watch this space over the next 4-6 weeks and you will see some BIG changes, and BIG announcements, not just from Rev Comps but the whole competition sector.

This is something we have been working on with other large & reputable competition sites to add more player protection and increased social responsibility. Everything you have touched on in your feedback and more will be covered by this 🤝

As for marketing - we have made some changes a few months back on how email and SMS are sent, both for marketing and ticket/prize notification to reduce costs. That did cause some issues, however the unsubscribe options on both SMS and Email should work instantly now and our support team can remove players completely if you contact them. Point noted about the lack of opt-out on the website, and we'll take a look at that as part of upcoming changes.

We totally agree with your advice that people should only play with what they can afford to lose - our competitions are meant to be fun with a chance of a great win 💪 We've introduced more player support recently so players can set weekly limits and there is a lot more to come in the following months - watch this space 👍
