Retrosystem Rocks!!!!

Great, responsive support with a great community and trustworthy providers. I've been a customer for several years now, and have had nothing but a great experience! The product(s) are extensive, and well put together, and updates are regular as well. I have no regrets, and no complaints! I've done several updates over the years, and every interaction was without issue. The discord community is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the host is very responsive and very interactive on all threads.

Unreliable

Unreliable and Misleading

I purchased their membership expecting access to the advertised 300 TB Retro Arcade collection. Instead, without warning, access was suddenly limited to a 2 TB file, which is nowhere near what was promised.

The explanations given were unconvincing, including claims that they were worried about Chinese companies stealing their business. This raised serious doubts about whether the original offering was ever real in the first place.

I did receive a refund, but the entire experience was a waste of time. I would not recommend this service due to misleading advertising and poor transparency.

26.12.25 - Updated after the sellers respond:

Your reply is misleading and does not reflect what actually happened, including our Discord conversation, which I have saved.

1. Payment was accepted before any restrictions were disclosed.

I completed the purchase based on the advertised offering. Only after payment did you state on Discord that:
• Access would be limited to 2 TB
• Full access would only be considered after months
• New customers would be quarantined
• VPN/IP checks and connection limits would apply
• You requested government ID with address and photo

2. Account creation was withheld due to new conditions.

You are correct that an account was never created — because you decided to limit access and add new requirements after payment.

That does not negate the issue. It confirms it.

3. Limitation was explicitly stated by you
In Discord you wrote:

• “I can give you access to 2 TB of RetroBat to start with.”
• “2 TB RetroBat for the first 3 months, then access will be extended.”

This directly contradicts your claim that no restriction was imposed.

4. These conditions were not disclosed on the website.

At the time of purchase, none of the above limitations or requirements were mentioned. I have a saved copy of the site from when I ordered.

5. Refund acknowledged — experience still valid.

Yes, the payment was refunded. That is appreciated. However, a refund does not erase misleading advertising or the time spent dealing with undisclosed post-purchase conditions.

This review reflects my actual experience and is supported by written Discord messages.

I stand by it!

For a purchase agreement to exist, there must be an agreement between the seller and the buyer. There was no such agreement between us because I did not want to sell you my product. You insisted and bought it, so I refunded your money.

‘I purchased a membership expecting access to the advertised 300 TB Retro Arcade collection. Instead, without warning, access was suddenly limited to a 2 TB file, which is far from what was promised.’

If your account was not created and you did not have any access, how can you claim that I restricted anything when you did not have access to anything? :)

Please note that only you and no one else in this review and on my Discord channel
claims that access was restricted to 2 TB without warning.
