Literal trash company

Literal trash company. They charged me and never shipped the item. I had to fight through paypal to get a refund. Literally buy the thing you want from anywhere else, unless you like getting scammed.

I order a preloaded raspberry pi SD…

I order a pre loaded raspberry pi SD card of games.

69 days later and I’m still waiting for a tiny SD card.
Twice they said it was sent out for delivery. May and end of June ?
But they won’t offer to give you a tracking number.

Skip this company, long delays and poor CS.

Ordered a 10 dollar screen replacement in 2021.

It's now 2022. An email chain back and forth between and they swear to god they couldn't ship since the order had the"wrong address". I double checked the details and it was exactly the right address many overseas sellers had no issue sending packages to.

I replied to them the exact same address as in the order. A month later they sent an email back saying they will ship it. That was in Feb 2022. I still haven't gotten it. It's just a screen replacement.

Stay away from this company.

Made my order weeks ago

Made my order weeks ago, the tracking information they provided doesn't work and is not even identified by the delivery service they use. Poor communication with this company. Do yourself a favour an open a dispute as soon as your tracking information doesn't work. They will tell you it will take a few days due to update due to covid and things taking longer. China is over covid now, that is bs. Do not pay with a credit card, use PayPal. I'm suspect of the positive reviews on here too.

I haven't had the negative experiences…

I haven't had the negative experiences that others had on this site. I've purchased two consoles, one in May and one coming soon. The first was a PocketGo, and every email I sent to retromimi was answered within a day or two. It took a while for it to ship, about a month, but then it arrived within a few weeks after. The second is a LDK system, and they answered my email and shipped the same day, within two days of ordering. That makes up for the time it took before, in my opinion! I'll knock off a star because the PocketGo was listed in stock, but they told me it was on backorder (hence the time it took). I also can't really compliment the website. I mean, they have a banner with a picture of Santa Claus on it year round, making the company look a little out of touch. However, I'm happy to report that they do communicate and ship in the time you'd expect a Chinese company to.

Scammers

Ordered on April 4th, It's May 31st now. No reply from their customer service. Luckily I paid with paypal, if I had used my credit card I'd probably never get a refund.

Terrible to no customer service…

Terrible to no customer service whatsoever. Had to open a paypal dispute to communicate with them as i got no response from either of their contact emails. And when i asked for a support email on the dispute before closing it, they just told me to close it already.

Worst store i've ever dealt with in my 15 years of online shopping..,

Scammers all the way, they should be in jail

I bought an handheld, payed it online, after a few days without any sign from retromimi, i emailed back asking if they received my order. Their answer was that they do not ship to Romania and they will make a refund. No money received since 1 week. They do no reply to any emails since then. I opened a case with customer protection in UK. Hope i get my money back.

Not what's advertised.

I bought an RS-07 mini arcade cabinet on their site. After 2 weeks it hadn't even shipped. I emailed and they didn't ship for another week. 2 months later I got it and it was not the model that was being advertised. I checked their website, and now it is not being sold. I was sold the wrong device and now I'm stuck with a piece of garbage that I can't even change the firmware on. Stay away.

RetroMimi isn't trustworthy

I placed an order with RetroMimi on May 1st 2020, I have yet to receive my order, or even validate with any credibility where the order might actually be. Aside from "wait more days", various excuses involving US Customs,"Riots" and verification that RetroMimi's "trusted shipping partner" Pitney Bowes supposedly has possession of the package. At no point has Pitney Bowes given the "package" to USPS, although the tracking data has indicated (on multiple dates and locations) that USPS was waiting for the package. RetroMimi's customer support and Pitney Bowes have created a mythical tracking history in an attempt to avoid refunding my payment. Fortunately, as soon as I discovered that Pitney Bowes was involved, I opened a claim via PayPal. At this point, RetroMini is trying to "run out the clock" on my claim. I will NEVER place another order through RetroMimi, and I would caution anyone against doing business with any company that uses Pitney Bowes.

I had a very good experience

I had a very good experience. I ordered from them a rg350m in 30.6.2020. I received it in 15.7.2020 (I live in Finland).
Every time i send them a question I got an answer just after few minutes.Don't hesitate to ask them, send it to "support.....".
I notice that they shipped my order in 1.7.2020 from China, it arrived to Belgium in 7.7.2020, but Belgium post sent it to Finland until 14.7.2020!
But any way, a good experience with Retromimi

I ordered from them nearly 2 months ago…

I ordered from them nearly 2 months ago and still haven't received it and have no idea where it is. They don't respond to updates like they claim they do. Their shipping tracking is dodgy and never updates. Ordering from them is like playing Russian Roulette. Just pay a little more and order through a reputable company.

Took two months to receive the package

Took two months to receive the package, and they use some obscure third party shipping service that never updates tracking. I could have swam back from China faster. Their communication is trash also. I have used them multiple times in the past, but never again. Just another garbage tier seller.

Mixed experience

I’ve bought a number of things from RetroMimi and have found that my experience is pretty mixed. They are extremely prompt to ship and I’ve often not had to wait more than a week for anything. Prices aren’t too bad and shipping is usually free. Items are shipped in tight box and they are seldom found to have experienced damage externally in transit. Unfortunately, as is often the case with these Chinese handhelds, the condition of the item itself is often variable and I’ve often discovered chipped or scratched screens and shells or faulty buttons. These are manufacturing faults, however when you try to raise the issue with what passed for customer service, they either don’t understand your question, take a long time to respond, or try to brush you off. I have come back only because of speed and price but I’m growing increasingly reluctant.

A bit fishy, but overall quick shipping and fair prices

I've been ordering a few of their consoles and overall the experience was OK.
Shipping was quite quick, the condition was good. With one exception.

However their customer service is horrible.
I ordered an SD card of 32 GB. It came as a no-name SD card and was formated at 8GB.
I reformated it to 32 GB and tried put stuff on it. After 16 GB it didn't store a single byte.
It reported 16GB free storage and was responding with disk write errors (no space).

It's a well known professional scam SD card. Chinese factories put a 32GB firmware and imprint on a 16GB sdcard expecting that most people won't write more than 16 GB in the beginning so they won't realize the've been scammed.

I reported that to Retromimi, they told me I wrongly formated it.
I reported it again with great detail, explaining them that maybe they have been scammed by their own supplier (though that's just unrealistic, they know what they sell).
I was ignored from there on, no responses anymore.
I only asked 7$ back so I can buy a replacement card, so it wasn't too much to ask.

I had to file a PayPal complaint, there I asked for 15$ given that they have been scamming me I now bought a 64GB card for that behaviour.

Overall it's a mixed result .. They do send what you order but sneak in a little scam and if you find it out they ignore you.
I'd recommend an alternative shop, if you are forced to buy there make sure you have a protection like PayPal + credit card funding.
Don't even try to write to them, directly use the complain function.
