SCAM WARNING! Double charges and hidden subscription!

Avoid Resumaker.de at all costs! They use deceptive "dark patterns" to lure you in with a 0.99€ trial and then secretly charge you 29.99€ every month.
Worst of all, in March 2026, they charged my card TWICE (on March 4th and March 24th). This is outright theft and a clear violation of billing rules. Their support refused a refund, hiding behind their "Terms & Conditions" while ignoring their own billing error.
I have already reported them to my bank and the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Do not give them your card details!

Totally not recommended

As many reviews have already stated, I've only used the service once to compile a resume. The tactic is always the same: they make you fill out your resume, take a long time, and then ask you for a payment (in this case, a paltry €0.99). This payment, however, hides a commitment to a subscription; in fact, this payment isn't just for the service you just used, but for a 14-day "trial," after which you're committed to paying a monthly fee of €29.99. Furthermore, canceling the subscription is complex, and by going directly to the website, I realized they'd created an account without my consent. Finally, in response to my repeated complaints, customer service responded by pretending nothing had happened, saying I'd used the service anyway and that "company policy" doesn't allow refunds. Totally not recommended, they use scam tactics to force you to commit to having a useless subscription to an application whose sole purpose is to generate resumes (as if a person needs a monthly subscription to create a resume)

Not transparent.

Not transparent.
Subscription renewal is not clearly communicated at checkout. No accessible account or billing page, only email notification. Refund denied after immediate cancellation. Feels intentionally misleading.

Review: Scam Tactics

Review:
I was misled into believing the service cost only €1 with no additional payments. Instead, I was charged twice in a row without my consent. There was no clear information about any subscription or recurring billing.

This its a scam tactic, and I strongly advise others not to use Resumaker’s services. Be careful — what looks like a cheap, one-time payment turns into unexpected charges. I have contacted my bank/PayPal to block future payments.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.
I used the service only once, thinking it was free or limited to the initial trial, because it was not clearly stated anywhere that it would turn into a paid subscription afterward.

I paid a small amount just to download my CV, and the website mentioned a 14-day trial period.
However, I was charged only after 3 months, without any notification, no email, no reminder, and without having used the service again.

I contacted customer support several times to request clarification and a refund, but I never received any reply.

These billing practices feel very unclear and confusing:

the subscription details are not shown in a transparent way

the renewal does not match the stated 14-day trial

no reminder is sent before charging the account

customer support is unresponsive

Be very careful before entering your payment details. My overall experience with this service has been extremely disappointing and far from transparent.
