Poor Communication & Customer Service
I ordered two items from this seller. The Carbon Freeze chamber duel and a "ONE DAY GRAND SLAM BOX - 3 PLAYSCALE SETS GUARANTEED, PLUS 3 OTHER SETS!". My initial confirmation said I would receive my order on Jan 8th. However my package wouldnt ship until Jan 29th. Upon receipt of the package on Feb 2nd, I had to reach back out to ask for building instructions as there were none in the package nor any instructions on how to obtain said directions. After getting the directions and going over the pieces, I noticed that my Darth Vader Minifig and his lightsaber were not included in my order, NOR was my "grand slam".
I put together the MOC build and there were two decal plate pieces missing. So I reached back out to the company asking about the Vader minifig, the two plates and the mystery grand slam. After a few days they reached back out saying the other order would ship "soon" along with the missing plates and Vader minifig.
About two weeks later on Feb 11th, I received notice my package would ship and 8 days later it arrived. Again there were no directions and I had to reach out to ask for them. The "ONE DAY GRAND SLAM BOX - 3 PLAYSCALE SETS GUARANTEED, PLUS 3 OTHER SETS" was only 1 Jedi ship. ALSO, not included in this shipment was my Vader minifig and two decal plates. I took pictures of the package contents and sent them to them showing as much, and they said they would get it to me "asap".
It would take them almost 1 month to send the Vader minifig and plates. However once it arrived it was ONLY the Vader minifig. No lightsaber OR decal plates for the MOC.
The fact that I had to repeatedly reach out to the company about missing parts AND a minifig that was advertised in the MOC build is a clear example of poor customer service. The deceptive labeling of "mystery boxes" is also pretty concerning as well.
I have ordered from many different shops over the years for custom minifigs and sets and this is by far the poorest experience I've had. Even companies overseas operate a level far and beyond what my experience was with them. While I did enjoy the MOC build, the over experience was enough to never order from here again.
GARBAGE
Seller sells designs he does not have the rights to. I bought a set but it didn’t have instructions. The seller then told me I could a refund and proceeded to never back to me. Seller is a fraudulent scam artist and will burn in hell.
Liars
When they told my son that they would cover shipping they declined and the customer service is absolutely horrible. This is nothing but a scam and a ruse to prey on people. Avoid this company like the plague.
Good shipping time and good products.
Good shipping time and good products.
A little bit pricey but overall good business. Every time I order I am pleasantly surprised by what I get.
UCS Mustafar Set with $100 Box
I ordered the UCS mustafar set that came with a $100 mystery gift. Upon arrival the bags were about 25% organized completely by color, there was no QR code for instructions so I had to reach out, and the $100 mystery gift was a $8 clone trooper with the incorrect hands and a Christmas tree attachment. They advertise this as a 1/1 because the pieces don’t go together when they were officially released by Lego lol. That way they can still act like it’s $100 value because it’s for sure 1 of 1! It just has several incorrect pieces thrown into a bag to form a minifig. I could go to my local LEGO store and do the same thing and call it 1 of 1. The mystery boxes are a scam. It’s all over these reviews so please don’t waste your time on those.
Now to the set build. The instructions are decent for a MOC (after receiving them through email) build and the set has a beautiful design. On the other hand, the integrity of the build throughout is sub par as lots of the pieces are damaged or missing. Personally I was missing 24 pieces. Lucking I had spare ones from older sets but for anyone wanting to complete it the first go around you will have an incomplete build. They offer replacement pieces but as always the shipping is horrendous as stated by nearly every review. So you’d complete what you could of the build then have to wait another month or two for the missing pieces.
Customer service is horrible. Every reply gets nothing accomplished and they try to make you feel stupid for reaching out in the first place. They are extremely disrespectful and do not offer any real help or solutions to the issues with your order.
All in all ONLY purchase a set if it is something that you are willing to endure a lot of headaches over. I am happy with my build but only because it gives me an amazing amount of nostalgia.
For what amounts to pretty expensive…
For what amounts to pretty expensive Lego sets their packaging is horrendous. They don’t even use a box just flimsy bubble wrap envelope than. My package arrived damaged and they took zero responsibility and were rude when I reached out about it. Zero customer service. Order at your own risk.
I wouldn't risk it.
To start, those who are complaining about getting "scammed" are using the wrong word. I won't be addressing the questionable behavior of the owner, Timmy, in this review. If you want to know about it, look up RB on YouTube and learn for yourself.
My experience started with mystery boxes back in 2022. Buying a mystery box IS gambling. Would you accuse a casino of scamming if you wasted your money on a slot machine and didn't win a million dollars? Scamming would be if you paid for an item and you never received anything. I unfortunately spent money on a couple of mystery boxes before realizing it was a waste of money. The sets I got were good, but I only ended up wanting to keep one or two things.
Quality control also seems to be an issue. I think out of the couple of sets I got, I ended up with a couple of either missing or incorrect pieces. In their terms and agreements, they do say that not all the pieces they send are NEW and some may be worn.
The shipping seems somewhat unreliable. They tell you one date, and they only follow up on it for one order, if I remember. So don't expect fast delivery.
The other frustrating aspect is their customer service. I see that others seem to get in touch with the owner via Instagram, but I do not use Instagram much, so it's far more of a hassle to get a hold of them via email. When I found missing pieces, they don't offer any services other than taking the amount of money you spend on replacement bricks off of your next order from them.
Ultimately, while it seems like a good deal upfront, you might just have a better time building custom sets on your own rather than going through the hassle of dealing with RB. I'm sure there's a lot of folk who had a fine experience with them, but I can't really recommend them without warning at least.
I ordered a custom set back in July
I ordered a custom set back in July, It took over 2 months to arrive. After spending over £200 I had to pay an extra £48 in customs fees just to have the set delivered. RepublicBricks were slow to answer emails, if i did get a response it was usually only a few words. I still haven't physically got the set so hopefully I have an enjoyable building experience when it finally arrives, however based on my experience so far I highly doubt it. I would strongly recommend not purchasing from RepublicBricks.

terrible shipping and terrible "mystery" sets and bags

Spent $40 on a mystery box advertised as playscale/ ucs scale. It showed pictures of what could be received but when I got it, it was a classic at-rt. Probably all of 25 pieces. Shipping took forever. Customer service is horrendous. Do not buy from here. Please do not buy from here.
Timmy is a scammer, don't buy from him
First off DON'T buy from this guy, he's a scammer. I ordered, bought and payed for, a set 4 months ago and never received it. I emailed Timmy about it and he lied and said it would ship 3/22, a month later I follow up and it's "almost ready!" Another month I tell him just to cancel it and refund me and he says it's already shipped and should be there by Wednesday, today is Friday and nothing. I asked for an updated tracking number and he sent a screenshot of our email thread and is now ignoring my emails altogether. Timmy is a grifter through and through, don't buy from him, don't trade, nothing. You will get scammed. Just in case you read this Timmy, I have USPS informed delivery so I can tell you were bsing, I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure your little business goes under. FAFO.
Don't bother with with Mystery Boxes
Ordered 3 grand Slam Mystery Boxes got a crab droid that has loose limbs and two brickheadz. One of which can't be put together properly because of parts not fitting.
SCAM OPERATION
SCAM OPERATION. Only presenting UCS sets on social media so you would download their app, buy a lottery ticket and get mayor shit!!! DO NOT FALL FOR IT! These companies are dishonest, not trustworthy and a disgrace to the lego community!
