One of the WORST experiences I've had…

One of the WORST experiences I've ever had with a software. They need to change their name to "YouWillNeverGetAReply.io"

If anyone is considering using Reply.io I would tell you to run.

I run a 7-figure marketing Agency and cold email had been our #1 outlet for the last 3 years.

Reply.io is horrible.

First off, they'll probably convince you to purchase their annual contract because they know if you were going to pay monthly their churn would be so high they'd be out of business.

Second, the platform is SO overly complex for absolutely no reason & functions the polar opposite of how other cold email platforms work in the WORST way.

We went over 5 months where we had thousand of emails sent and not a single meeting booked.

Understanding Reply.io isn't responsible for bad email scripts, I decided to split-test the SAME email scripts & sequences with my VAs through gmail...

And in 2 weeks of manually sending (from the same email accounts as well) I was able to generate more bookings than Reply.io "amazing sending system" could generate over 5 months...

The only thing this software could do right was keep my inboxes warm in mailtoaster.

After I used the software for 6 months, had 0 results, and was able to show that we were booking meetings on other sources with the same scripts, I asked the reply.io team to refund the remainder of my payment for the next 6 months.

- Which to me felt generous considering I already burned $1,000 using their software...

And of course, after 14 emails, a 30-minute call where the head of customer success "reviewed" my account.

They then went 2 weeks without responding to me and so after I followed up again, I received the long-winded email that in short reads

"Nope. Sorry to hear our software sucks. We're going to keep your payment. Thanks"

TLDR;
If you want to:
Set your money on fire
Waste hours of your time
Get 0 replies or bookings

Reply.io is a great option for you.

I am deeply disappointed with…

I am deeply disappointed with Reply.io's billing practices. We were charged without our prior approval, and there was no reminder or notification that an invoice had been generated or that a payment was scheduled. To make matters worse, we were billed for a LinkedIn subscription that we never signed up for, which feels deceptive and completely unacceptable.

Their service has not lived up to expectations, and this experience has made us question their integrity. It seems like they're running a scam with hidden charges, and their lack of transparency is alarming.

I urge others to be cautious and thoroughly review their invoices. We're hoping for a resolution soon, but until then, I cannot recommend Reply.io based on this frustrating and unnecessary experience.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with…

Extremely Disappointing Experience with REPLY

I recently used REPLY for my business's email marketing needs, and the experience has been extremely disappointing.

Service Quality: The overall service quality is far below what was advertised. The platform frequently has downtime, making it unreliable for time-sensitive campaigns. Many of the emails we sent out ended up in spam folders despite following all the guidelines provided by the company.

User Experience: The user interface is outdated and not intuitive at all. Simple tasks such as creating and scheduling campaigns take much longer than they should because of the convoluted menu system. Additionally, the email templates provided are very basic and lack customization options, which makes it hard to create engaging content.

Customer Support: The customer support is abysmal. On multiple occasions, I had to wait several days to get a response to urgent issues. When I finally did receive a response, the support team was unhelpful and often provided generic responses that did not address my specific problems. They seemed more interested in closing tickets than solving my issues.

Results: The performance of the email campaigns was far below expectations. The open and click-through rates were significantly lower than industry averages, and the analytics provided were not detailed enough to understand why. This made it impossible to optimize future campaigns effectively.

Pricing: For the price, I expected a much higher level of service and functionality. The platform is expensive, and there were several hidden fees that were not disclosed upfront. This included additional charges for basic features that should be included in the standard package.

Deliverability: One of the biggest issues was the deliverability rate. A significant percentage of our emails were not reaching the inboxes of our subscribers. Despite following all the recommended best practices and reaching out to support, the issue was never resolved.

Integration Issues: The platform promised seamless integration with other tools we use, but this was far from the truth. Integrations were buggy and often failed, leading to lost data and hours of additional work to manually correct issues.

**Comparison**: Compared to other email marketing platforms like Levitate and Active falls short in nearly every aspect. Competitors offer better user experiences, more reliable support, and greater transparency in pricing.

Overall, I would strongly advise against using Reply. The combination of poor service quality, unreliable support, high costs, and low deliverability rates make it a bad choice for any business serious about their email marketing efforts.

Worst support and sales team ever

The solution provided by Reply.io is highly disappointing, especially when it comes to LinkedIn automations. The sales team assured us that the software covers all the required functionalities, but it fails to meet expectations in almost every aspect.

E.g., the LinkedIn automation is severely flawed and it takes up to six hours to register replies. The sequence handling is inadequate as the software does not effectively transition leads between sequences.

Additionally, the support experience has been frustrating. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues, the solutions provided have been ineffective. The support team acknowledges the limitations but offers no viable workarounds or fixes. This lack of responsiveness and accountability is unacceptable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with Reply.io. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed comments, as it helps us understand where we can improve our service.
I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered difficulties with our LinkedIn automation and sequence handling. We strive to provide the best possible experience for our users, and it's clear we've fallen short of your expectations in this case.
Regarding the LinkedIn integration, I'm pleased to inform you that we've recently made significant improvements to this feature. To benefit from these enhancements, you'll need to reconnect your LinkedIn account. This should result in a much faster and more efficient experience.
As for the lead transition between sequences, our current approach is designed with deliverability best practices in mind. We implement daily limits on the number of leads and verify all email addresses to ensure optimal performance. While this may sometimes appear to slow down the process, it's intended to maximize the effectiveness of your campaigns. However, we understand that this might not align with your specific needs.
They can work with you to find tailored solutions or adjustments that better fit your workflow.
We're committed to continually improving our service and support. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us identify areas for enhancement. We'll be sure to review our sales and support processes to ensure we're providing accurate information and effective assistance to all our users.

Poor Platform / Doesn't Warm Up Emails

Trialled them and even though the platform looks complicated and to me that's always a bad sign, I was considering signing up as a paying client.

Thank God I didn't!

Discovered during the trial that Reply.io don't warm up your domains or emails. You have to sign up to a different service called Mailtoaster - a separate company guess what? Yup, it's owned by the same person - Oleg Campbell.

So why couldn't they just combine the MailToster service into what you get at Reply.io? Because they charge another $29 on top of the already quite high fees charged at Reply.io to squeeze more money out.

So if you're happy using an over-complicated email marketing platform that doesn't include warm-ups PLUS happy to pay even more for that, then this is the platform for you.

If not look elsewhere.

Lastly, when I pointed this out to their customer services after they finally admitted that they don't warm up emails. They then proceeded to inundate me with emails each time a different person who I had to explain the above to all over again. Spammy, unprofessional.

Only interested in getting money from customers.

I initially reached out with a polite appeal to refund a subscription charge that I forgot was running hoping for a fair resolution to my situation. Unfortunately, it seems that your company is determined to push me away as a loyal customer.

The refusal to grant a refund for a service that I have not used is not only unjust but also demonstrates a complete lack of empathy and understanding from your end. I had genuinely looked forward to continuing my partnership with Reply.io and had hoped that my appeal would be treated with respect.

The rejection of my appeal, despite my clear explanation and polite tone, has left me feeling extremely undervalued as a customer. It is evident that Reply.io prioritizes every penny they can take over customer satisfaction, which is a deeply disappointing stance for any company to take.

The worst customer service I have…

The worst customer service I have received from a team. After them continuing charges on our account for months, I stepped in to stop all payments moving forward.

Despite this, they renewed our annual subscription as we didn't use the specific term 'non-renewal' despite an email thread highlight we no longer used the software and didn't want any more payments to be made.

There are much better tools, and I'd expect at the very least, for a customer service team to not purposely ignore a request like this for something as trivial as not using the right word.

Favorite cold email automation tool!

Hands down my favorite cold outreach and automation tool. UI is slick and easy to navigate (and as a self-admitted design nut, that's important). Support is always quick to step in and answer any questions I have as I need it!

Used Reply.io to achieve a 70% open rate and 15% reply rate

Big fan of Reply.io. Some of the reasons I love it:
- Safety settings and send delays to throttle deliveries
- Integrated "warm up" for new accounts
- Analytics on email, sequence, and account levels
- Custom tracking domain (use your own domain for links vs. generic tracking domain)
- Hubspot integration to sync contacts/data
- Supremely attentive support

Reply has been fantastic! I love how easy it is to use both uploading contacts but also writing each of my messages.
