Overall, a great experience! The car I booked at first was declined by the host, but the system immediately suggested another car which was better for the price I paid at first (no extra money for this case). It was a short trip, only 2 days, but will definitely book another car for my trip next month. :)
I had communication with the Rentout support team for the suggested car and they were very friendly and helpful!
I contacted with the car rental via the app, the contract was sent via email and no need for other papers in the host place. Amazing client experience after the booking!

Good for first steps – open account, look for a car
Not good for next step when I found a car – bad and stressful communication – the car owner does not confirm the reservation for many days, there is no way to contact him, finally I had to write to Rentout help desk who found another car!
With the other car it is also stressful because the car owner does not answer in the Rentout chat, and his phone number is not available.
The situation was improved only 1 day before the start when the car owner mobile phone was available and we could communicate by WhatsApp. But before this it was very stressful for me because I was never sure about my reservation.
After that for the trip all was OK.
Also why there is zero comment in your system for the cars and owners? It is not reassuring when we look for a car.

Bad & Great: Bad experience with the app for the booking but Great experience after booking!
Experience with the app wasn't good. I struggle many times and at many steps.
Few examples:
- When you look for renting for a period of let say 3 day, you get in your search results car available for 5-day period minimum, so not relevant
- when you select your car, you want to use a pickup or drop off location. You select the location, click ok, button switches to Edit, and you're stuck
- about previous issue, I sent a message to support, never got an answer
- insurance is sometimes mandatory sometimes not mandatory and sometimes not available. Hard to understand why
- got stuck at accepting the policy step, so couldn't finalize my request.
All of the above were very time consuming and almost got me away from renting
But when I succeeded, then everything went very well: contact with the car rental via app and via WhatsApp, information, contract, feeling and explanation when getting the car, same when returning the car. Perfect client experience after the booking!

Regarding the 3-to-5-day availability of car rentals, this setting is determined by individual Hosts based on their preferences. However, your feedback has highlighted an important area for improvement. We are currently working on a system update, scheduled for release in September 2025, which will automatically filter availability options. This update should be active within the next 3–4 weeks, so you won’t encounter this issue moving forward.
The reason you were shown the "edit service" option is that the Host in question does not offer extended-distance delivery. It’s likely that your requested location exceeded the range of their standard delivery service.
As for insurance plans, we’ve partnered with SIGAL to offer consistent coverage and transparent pricing to all clients. However, some Hosts choose to manage their own insurance and may opt out of using our SIGAL partnership. To ensure peace of mind in future rentals, we recommend selecting cars that clearly indicate SIGAL insurance coverage in the app.
Finally, you should be aware that our client support team addressed your inquiry through the Rentout app's ticketing system 26 minutes after we received your request.

We recently rented a Volkswagen Golf and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The car was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable to drive. It handled beautifully on both city roads and longer motorway trips, with great fuel efficiency that really impressed us.
The pickup and drop-off process was smooth and hassle-free, with clear communication and friendly service throughout. Everything was exactly as promised, which gave us real peace of mind.
Overall, we had an excellent rental experience and would happily recommend both the Golf and this rental company to anyone looking for a reliable, enjoyable drive.

I booked a car through Rentout last week and had such a great experience! The whole process was super simple—just 3 steps and the car was delivered right to my door. I loved the pickup and delivery option; it made everything so easy and stress-free 😄
We drove to Dhërmi and had the best time! The car had a great sound system with deep bass, so we had music playing the entire way.
Dhërmi was a dream—crystal clear sea, good music, fresh seafood, and the best cocktails. Rentout even arranged a drop-off service for the return, which made things even smoother.
Sadly, the trip ended too quickly... but I’ll definitely be booking with Rentout again for my next adventure! 🚗

Tried this app called rentout to book a car. It was an easy process and effortless. You could choose the cars how you wanted it with every option. Also buying insurance on the go from the app was something i did not expect, but it was a must.
