If you want your pest control done properly don't hire Rentokil. They're borderline scammers.

We had signs of mice droppings in the house so we hired them to come look at it. They came and put some traps but didn't catch anything. They looked around the house and said there was no risk so it must have been droppings washing in from outside. We were charged 320 euros for this "service".

Well, a week after their last visit, when we had signed off and they had taken away their useless traps, we find a mouse in our bed as we're going to bed. You read that right. Not just in the bedroom, in the bed. We call them first thing next morning and guess what? There's nothing they can do as we would have to pay for another full round of their useless inspections. No responsibility over the fact that they clearly messed up the initial inspection. I'm even wondering if the way they operate is legal.

They "don't guarantee results", in their own words. Then what kind of business are you? I understand that sometimes a job is not done correctly, happens to everybody. But if I do a poor job, at the very least I try to fix it and don't try to charge the client again.

If I pay for a service and that service is not provided, is it legal to just act like it's not your responsibility? The way they operate is not much different than just scamming people out of their money.

Unfortunately, even though the guy who came to fix the problem is good. The company is a scam. They refuse to terminate my contract of 1 year saying it’s two year. I’ve been calling and contacting them for 6 months. Do not get into contract with them

After months of dealing with mice and, more recently, rats in our flat in Amsterdam, Jerry from Rentokil came over and really helped us with the issue - thank you!! Jerry realised the rodents haven't been eating the poison left by Rentokil in the past months, and also that there were still some very hidden holes in the kitchen, only accessed by disassembling some of the cabinets. He also left bigger poison boxes on the floor and rat traps, which, although very gruesome and brutal, helped control the situation until all the holes could be accessed and closed. Game changer! If something like this ever happens again, I'm calling Jerry!
