COMPETENT AGENT

recently rented an apartment with the help of this agent, and I’m genuinely pleased with the service. They were responsive, transparent and very patient in answering all my questions. The entire process was smooth and well-organized. I felt comfortable and well-guided. I definitely recommend their services

Misled about the property and disrespected by staff

I am genuinely upset with how this whole situation was handled. I paid a holding deposit for a place that I was told was ready. When I went to see it properly, the building was not finished at all. There were workers above me and around me, loud noise, dust, and things that looked unsafe. I did not feel comfortable living there and I honestly do not think anyone would.

I tried so many times to get clear updates. I asked for a list of what was still being worked on and I asked for regular updates. I kept getting ignored or sent the same short replies that told me nothing. Ali was the person I was dealing with and he was extremely unprofessional the whole time. He spoke to me in a way that made me feel like I was bothering him just for asking basic questions. I never felt respected at any point in this process.

In the end I could not move in. It was not safe and the disruption around the flat would have made living there impossible. Even after all of that, my holding deposit has still not been refunded. I paid for a place that was not ready and I ended up losing money.

This whole thing caused me a lot of stress and it has taken up so much of my time and energy. I had to pay for storage and extra accommodation while trying to deal with all of this. I do not want anyone else to go through what I went through. Please be careful with this company.

Regarding our holding deposit terms, these are clearly outlined within the reservation agreement, and applicants are required to read and accept them before proceeding. If you believe your holding deposit has been withheld without any fault on your part, you are of course entitled to seek independent legal advice.

We always aim to support both landlords and tenants throughout the referencing process and maintain full transparency at every stage. As stated in our terms, if either party breaches the agreement, certain charges may apply. A holding deposit is only retained in situations where an applicant withdraws after agreeing to the reservation terms.

With respect to your comments on communication, please note that we provide an online portal offering real-time updates for both landlords and tenants, ensuring that all relevant information is accessible throughout the application process.

Problem with Hot water

The person who came was so friendly. After he had done his job, he explained to me about my boiler, and he told me about the things, that I don't know to this moment. About the agency: you need to have permission from all landlords for an emergency situation, hot water in cold weather is an emergency. The tenant does not need to wait nearly a week to resolve that problem. Problems with: Water, electricity, heating should to resolved for a few hours

Highly recommend rentigo I have been renting with them for around 6 years now and I have never had a problem we have recently decided to upsize in property and rentigo have always kept me up to date with the property's they had on the market that suited me , they never bother me with anything unless needed and because of this I wanted to make sure I stayed with them when going to my next property

This is the worst service I have ever…

This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, they refuse to refund our advance payment, their manager also said we should go to any length to do whatever we like, the case was reported and they still refuse, until they got suspended, that’s was when the money was paid back after 4 months. They can mess with your mental health 😡😡😡.

Imagine replying to our review, all the bills was sent, in fact PSR confirmed this with them, there were emails stating that, Even the landlord have to take the property from them because of their service also informed the, they have to pay us, to even make matters worse, the property was rented to another tenant from different agency once we moved out. They wanted to get the money and did not want to leave it. If they were not suspended, they won’t have paid the fund, they were also been informed they will be charged to court.

Whaooo, Saying we are looking for excuses, First the question is this, Utilities bill this days are done online such as council, utility and Electricity, at least someone staying in the UK knows, that once moving house, you call the utilities companies and council and they will move your bill to the next house, all this were sent to them, which they confirmed.

Secondly, The Landlord took the property from them because of their service and send them an email that all funds should be refunded as a new agency has been in charged of the property, which when we even called the landlord back about the refunds, he said they don’t have any right on the property and our money should be returned as everything was sorted.

Lastly, they sent a confirmation email that the refunds will be sent at the end of June which was not sent and when asked, we were been informed to go to any length that they won’t refund the money, that’s why PSR have to get involved.

We have all the records here, wish there is a upload option, to upload all this evidence 😡😡😡

This tenant refused to provide us the final bills before their final balance can be released which is part of the end of tenancy procedure. Unfortunately rent advance balance can not be refunded without having cleared utility bills. Despite several attempts they refused to provide the bills and hence why the funds were held until they involved PRS and PRS ensured us that tenant has moved the utilities to their new premises.
Tenants like these always have excuse to justify their actions. They were refunded once we received assuring from PRS. They are not happy because we followed the procedure clearly mentioned in the end of tenancy procedure they were handed when they served notice to vacate.
Rentigo followed the procedure clearly and if that makes them unhappy then unfortunately we can’t do anything more to satisfy them. We wish them best of luck in their next rental and we hope they have learned their lesson to follow the rules in order to get their funds on account back in timely manner.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. This company ignores my emails and has done nothing but make me lose money and waste time. I would not recommend this at all for anybody who is looking for a property dealer.

I couldn’t be happier with the service and professionalism of the sales team, especially Jay, who paid attention to the smallest details. Everything was easy and straightforward through the online system. I didn’t have to go out, except when I needed to hand over the house keys. Additionally, my payments are always on time every month.
