Caution- Learn about Crit'Air

In the end I went elsewhere for my car but below is important information for all purchasers of a TT car.

The French Government has introduced a law to restrict driving non clean air cars in major metropolitan areas and the cities to which it applies is growing.

ALL cars driving in these areas areas must display a Crit'Air label on the windscreen.

Only the owner can apply for a Crit'Air label. It is free. You can only apply on line. The label will be posted but only to the registered address. For the likes of me this is New Zealand. Renault are not the registered owner of the car - you are. No-one in NZ can post it to me because I am using the car to travel around France. Where will I be next week? Or three weeks time?

Pick up your car at CDG, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Marseille. No matter, most pick-ups are in Clean Air Zones. Drive into town, get stopped by the police and get a fine of €86 for not displaying a Crit'Air label. Welcome to France.

Sort this out with Eurodrive before you hand over money!

Hi John,

Thank you for your review and for raising this critical issue we know of. We deeply apologise for your inconvenience and frustration regarding procuring Crit'Air stickers for driving in France.

We understand the importance of having these stickers, especially with the recent enforcement of emissions regulations in major metropolitan areas. Please know that we're working to address this matter with our leasing suppliers to find a prompt and satisfactory solution.

In the interim, we recommend purchasing the stickers locally at service stations to ensure compliance with regulations. We are committed to assisting you in locating the nearest station where you can obtain these stickers, alleviating any immediate concerns while we work towards a more permanent resolution.

We will update you on our progress and provide further information as soon as it becomes available. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,
Ashleigh
