Caution- Learn about Crit'Air
In the end I went elsewhere for my car but below is important information for all purchasers of a TT car.
The French Government has introduced a law to restrict driving non clean air cars in major metropolitan areas and the cities to which it applies is growing.
ALL cars driving in these areas areas must display a Crit'Air label on the windscreen.
Only the owner can apply for a Crit'Air label. It is free. You can only apply on line. The label will be posted but only to the registered address. For the likes of me this is New Zealand. Renault are not the registered owner of the car - you are. No-one in NZ can post it to me because I am using the car to travel around France. Where will I be next week? Or three weeks time?
Pick up your car at CDG, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Marseille. No matter, most pick-ups are in Clean Air Zones. Drive into town, get stopped by the police and get a fine of €86 for not displaying a Crit'Air label. Welcome to France.
Sort this out with Eurodrive before you hand over money!
