The Heathrow Place to Stay & Park

Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel Heathrow for one night, which included parking and I have to say we were impressed.

We were booked in by Arabs, who was so helpful, ensuring that we had all the travel information required to get to the terminal and ensuring our stay was seamless.

We decided to eat at the restaurant and the meal was incredible, I had the salmon - whilst price was on par with local prices the drinks were a little expensive, although the drinks did go down smoothly!!

At 05:00 the next morning Arbaz was there again, booking us out, he was really helpful, professional and very approachable, I can't thank him enough. So Renaissance Managers you need to mentor this young man as he most definitely managerial potential and his an amazing ambassador for your Company.

Don't read the bad reviews, the hotel is lovely.

Ridiculous questions

My daughter is reading 2 hours a night in 4th grade to keep up with the ridiculous AR requirements. She is starting to hate reading and she is working really hard and to see her coming home crying after taking the tests and going back through the books trying to looks for the answers is a shame. This company should do better with the tests and the only good reviews sound like they are from teachers who never took one of the test or bots. All of the bad reviews I see are from actual students who are using this service so maybe you should listen to the people who are taking these tests and not focus questions on ridiculous insignificant specific details and main themes in the book that kids can remember. It is a shame when our education system becomes meaningless through automated tests written by people who probably didn't read the book and just turned to a specific page and ask random questions.

... WAAAAAAAH

accellerated reader and the star tests are horrible. the star tests don't give enough time for people with dyslexia or other problems (IRLEN, etc...) and the accelerated reader tests make me rip my hair out. half of the books I read at school arent even on there, and it rarely has the books I like. and the tests are so hard. they're so specific like: "what did raskolnikov do in page 97 line 4". well they arent exactly like that but you get the point. it makes me sob when I have to do a test on a book that's way too long to remember what happened in one chapter and it practically executes me for getting a lot of questions wrong. AAAAAAAGH

Judy Blume is still right

When Judy Blume out of all authors spoke out against Accelerated Reader almost a decade ago now, it truly demonstrated how websites like this could make reading as shallow and emotionless as possible to children.

My teaching revolves around Renaissance!

Renaissance is an invaluable tool in my classroom. It helps my students track their data and keeps them headed towards their goals. It allows me to group my students for small groups and shows parents where their students' strengths are and what areas they can improve upon. It is the one tool that I use daily and it is the tool from which I receive the biggest return on my investment.

Wonderful Tool!

Renaissance is a great tool for your school to use daily. AR is great to motivate your students into reading more often. The STAR assessment is a great tool to use to evaluate your students on their reading abilities. AM is another tool that can be used daily to build math skills. Renaissance is a great choice!

Game Changer!!

Renaissance is an outstanding tool to track students in both reading and math. Not only does it provide excellent goals for student success, but it also is able to track areas that students should work on to become stronger students. This program has been a game changer in my classroom!!

I LOVE AR

I LOVE AR. It has changed the way we read at my school. I really like the goal setting and the monitoring reports. Classroom teachers like that the kids are being challenged to read books that are not part of classroom curriculum. Our kids are reading at least 1-2 books at all times. We use many of the AR reports to follow the kids progress. These reports are easy for parents to understand and they enjoy having access to their children's account to chart their progress.Overall I would say the program is successful for my school.

Renaissance has products that aim to…

Renaissance has products that aim to help educators find holes and gaps in student learning and to help monitor progress so teachers can provide feedback and interventions that match the skill deficits. I enjoy using the AR piece to have reading accountability without taking up to much classroom time and prep.
