My son’s gift to his kids
My son gave me a membership to Remento for his 40th birthday. He remembers the stories I told of my growing up years. He wanted to have them to share with his kids.
The most interesting part of the experience is you can do the recordings on video or audio. You can add photos to go along with the stories. I have not yet but am collecting ones to use.
Another plus is you can review each story after it is recorded. Edit them anytime to make corrections or add more detail.
It is a perfectly wonderful tool to preserve loved one’s legacy and share with the next generation.

Rewarding Experience
While reluctant to start, the prompts made it more comfortable to cover a specific memory and topic. For my five children it opened their eyes to events and times of our family which they were unaware and gained a new appreciation of the times, events and family members they never knew or knew very little about, For myself it was personally rewarding to re-experience those forgotten times and people in my life, I did not nor did my family enjoy the written translation as much as the recordings, They seem bland and lacking human emotion. The precis and white-washed script lacked the personality and vocabulary of the rercoding,

The idea driving Remento of leaving discussions about your life and what you find important for future family to read or watch (in the case of videos) is a wonderful idea. Remento recordings are easy to do and navigating the website is intuitive. So far, it's been a great experience.

An amazing way to save memories and the actual voice of our family. I love that there are plenty of predefined questions but I can add my own questions, including personal pictures! My mom is actually doing this one! What a special gift to my children and future grandchildren!

A Gift of a Lifetime
When my daughter gifted me Remento as a birthday gift I was skeptical as whether I would really use it. It turns out it has been my favorite gift of my lifetime with the exception of giving me twin grandbabies at my age of 66. I can now see I probably won’t see them get married and have children. Remento has given me an opportunity to give them pieces of my life that they may not have known. Thank you for inventing such a great tool to get to know what made me ME.

One Year Later, Still Going Strong
We gave Remento to my grandma about a year ago, and it’s been a great gift. She has actually kept up with the prompts every week, which says a lot about how easy and engaging it is to use.
The prompts are thoughtful and have helped capture stories we might never have heard otherwise. We haven’t finished adding photos or produced the book yet, but having her memories recorded in her own voice has already made it worthwhile.

Remembering while leaving a legacy
I'm currently recording my book. This experience has been so rewarding thinking about my life and putting it in written form for my children and grandchildren. I'm trying to include things I wish I had asked my grandparents. The support team is amazing. All my questions have been answered and their ideas help direct my book.

So easy to use. Love the feature that removes ums and uhs and other filler words. My 76 year old mother has had no difficulties recording her stories. I can send and resend prompts. Plus the fact that her audio files will always be available to me is a big plus and difference between Remento and similar companies that don’t do voice recordings/video.

The only challenge is that family members don’t do the stories even when you remind them and then you don’t get anything. My parents did do some so we will have an abbreviated book but it guess that’s not an experience issue it’s a user issue.

Great product, I gifted this to my sister in law so she could share the family history with the grand kids and generations to follow. Gift of a Lifetime
My siblings and I gifted Remento to both our Mom and Dad for Christmas last year. Since then, they have both thoroughly jumped on board this process, the story telling, capturing their advice for us and their grandkids, letting their real personalities shine through. It has also allowed each of them to process a great deal of unfinished business - an unexpected outcome of this Christmas present but one that is allowing us to all see my Mom and Dad as their true selves, the things that have brought them joy, the things they wish would have turned out differently, things they feel were left undone. I have gotten the distinct impression that this process is bringing them both closure for a lot of things, but also the opportunity to tell (and re-tell) their favorite, most important life stories, and to remember people who were important to them but who have passed. I can already see that 20, 30, 40 years from now, their stories, words, and voices will be an irreplaceable gift for all of us.
