We used Red Lion Removals in 2023 for a long-distance move and were genuinely impressed by their care and professionalism. Unfortunately, our October 2025 move within Reading was the complete opposite.

Despite being a simple local relocation, the service was disorganised and at times careless. Belongings were emptied onto beds, clothes were crumpled into the bottoms of wardrobes instead of hung, and clearly labelled boxes were delivered to the wrong rooms. Essential furniture hardware was even left behind at our previous address, causing further disruption.

The result was a stressful, chaotic unpacking process that should never have happened. When my husband raised these issues and shared photographs, the company dismissed our concerns, denied the problems outright, and offered no accountability.

The stark difference between the two moves speaks for itself. The poor service we received in 2025—and the company’s unwillingness to acknowledge legitimate feedback—is deeply disappointing.

Excellent company. We needed a house clearance at short notice. Everything was organised within a couple of days and the clearance was done quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend to others.

The quote process via their website is quick and straightforward, and they don’t bombard you with annoying follow-up calls.

Their pricing is reasonable and open to negotiation depending on the actual items being moved.

The staff were professional, arrived on time, and handled the furniture, boxes, and white goods with great care using a Luton van. They were also helpful and willing to offer advice.

Well-equipped with all the necessary gear to protect doors, mattresses, and other items.

It was during a tough time for me with the loss of my Dad, and they made the move so easy, very smooth, very efficient workmen and hardworking. I will definitely use these again. Thank you so much for helping me.

This was the second time we have used this company for moving house. On both occasions they have been efficient, professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful. I wouldn't use anyone else to move house.

Competitive price and the guys moved us with great efficiency From Cardiff To Neath and were All Very polite and hard working.
They emptied the entire house In Cardiff within a few hours and then drove the 36 miles to my new home in neath and delivered our belongings, they even Dismantled and reassembled some of my belongings which I was grateful for, would definitely use this company again and

I’m not sure what they're feeding (or drugging) their people with, but I have never seen 2 men work as hard as this morning. We are fully in to our new house, and it’s just after 11am. Incredible service from Sebi and Bogdan. Are they men or robots? We'll never know... Thank you so much!

Adrian and the guys did a fantastic job of moving us into our new home, they looked after our stuff, and everything was dismantled and put back together as if it'd always been there! They even did it through Storm Darragh weather warnings!

Fantastic company. They moved me from Somerset to wales. Very efficient and helpful. Every thing arrived in perfect condition as they packed the van properly and secured boxes as they went. Used floor and door protectors so not to scratch anything. Highly recommend this company if you want a stress free move. Thanks to all the staff for making my move a pleasure.

10 out of 10. I have moved 3 times and for the first time everything went according to schedule. The van and moving men arrived early to a very rural and remote location. Loaded the van meticulously and took great care with all fragile items . Arrived at the final destination. Emptied the van. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Would have no hesitation recommending them . They exceeded all expectations, brilliant.

Incredible service! Moving house is so stressful yet they made the day an amazing one. The hardest working and most professional team, while maintaining humour and energy throughout. They took all the stress out of the move for me. I couldn't believe how quickly they got it all done, even offering to put the furniture in the exact places I wanted it all to go in the new place. They could not have done more. Will definitely be using them again. Absolutely fantastic experience. I really can't say enough about them. Very highly recommended.

Received the received the last of my storage this morning after the move on 11th June. This company is outstanding. Everything packed, delivered unloaded and assembled with some put into storage with them which came back today all in perfect condition. It would be hard to find a better company. I thoroughly recommend them.

Great experience all round, even gave tips to all four removal staff. From start to finish they were very quick and polite with no hassle or problems, me and my partner lived in a very awkward area for removing anything and our many items had weight to them, but was no issue for these guys, they even helped with moving very heavy units in new home to different areas of house that they didn’t need to do. I recommend this company to anyone.

I have used them twice now, so this is a joint review.

They did such a excellent job the first time I went back and used them for the 2nd move within a year.

I went with the the full pack and disassemble options on both moves. On both moves the teams were in my 3 bed house packed, disassembled and on the road in 4 hours and then unloaded and assembled in 2 at the other end after a 3 hour journey.

I would be happy to use them again in the future, if I thought they covered my new location.

Amazing and helpful service. The movers (Florin & Mihai) did a great job and they were very fast and professional. The initial communication was brilliant and they definitely made moving feel less stressful. I would highly recommend this company and the movers! 10/10 service
