Online reorder limitation.

It's not possible to order a retest of the mycotoxin test online. This means contacting someone at the lab, ordering, getting a refund, etc. Everyone is always very nice about helping but it's not efficient for anyone.

I am not please with my order for the Mycotoxin Urine test. First, the requisition was missing from the kit so I printed it out. I have received no info; did you get the test? is it complete? where are the results? nothing. I tried to call today for an hour and your phone system is repeating itself without forwarding my call. I pressed every option and can't get a person on the phone. This is really frustrating and should not be the case. Your customer service needs to improve substantially!

Good: website ordering was easy, and kit arrived in a reasonable amount of time with good instructions.
Bad: I collected my sample and prepared the kit for mailing, then realized I had made a mistake and needed RealTime's advice about re-using or getting a new kit. Two phone calls (choosing different options) resulted in being disconnected; a message over the website was not answered; an email was not answered. Finally a third phone call was answered, by someone not equipped to assist me and who said she'd ask the appropriate person to get in touch with me. I have not heard from anyone.
Not-Yet-Determined: I have not sent in the specimen yet for processing, so cannot say how that went or what the results are like.
CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT

The instructions I received from Real Time Labs were completely inadequate and confusing. I called them twice to get clarification and got someone's voicemail. No one returned my calls.
Not a good experience.

The program was clinically focused and relevant with practical tips. It was dense with information so I will need to review it again. Mold remains a big and complex topic, but this was a great foundation.

I ordered the Environmental Mold & Mycotoxin Assessment (EMMA) from Realtime for $399 and another mycotoxin test kit analyzed by Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab) for $82. Both tests claim to use the ELISA technology, but EDLab's test only screens for Trichothecenes. Realtime's screens for 3 additional mycotoxin 'families'.

Both tests required a large dust sample, which I collected from behind our refrigerator on the same day, and only minutes apart. The results from RealTime indicated that there were no mycotoxins found within my dust sample, to a precision of roughly 1 ppb (parts per billion). However, the results from the other lab indicated that there were 128.5 ppb (parts per billion) of Trichothecene mycotoxins found within my sample. That is a HUGE discrepancy. Especially considering that some mycotoxins demonstrate health affects in animals when consumed orally at a mere 20 ppb.

Not long after, I had a urine analysis done which revealed I had elevated levels of OTA in my urine. OTA is one of the mycotoxins included in Realtime's EMMA screening which they reported as negative. Since then, I have had 2 additional dust samples analyzed by EDLab. The mycotoxin levels reported by their analysis are reflected in our clinical symptoms, so I'm inclined to believe Realtime's results were a false negative.

I have emailed RealTime to inquire about what may have caused the discrepancy between the results. But no one has responded to my queries. I understand that things happen, samples get contaminated, etc. And I'm surprised and disappointed that a business founded in scientific truth is not interested in exploring why their results did not match another lab's, or our clinical symptoms, or the urine analysis results.

Love this lab - supportive point of care tools for clinicians with a focus on research-based interventions. Great!

The testing was fine. I just felt the follow up consult with the Dr. was lacking. He did not seem to have helpful information regarding the results and any suggestions.

Specimen was easy to obtain, contain and ship. Very quick delivery of results and thorough report.

Great customer service, prompt responses, and quick turnover on results, very happy with the whole process.

I am getting ready to treat for cancer the day my 400 dollar dog urine test came a 2.00 plastic vial this company insisted that i sign for it. I had vets and people interested and have spent thousands on my own tests for mycotoxins. Paul was very rude and violated the ADA when he claimed that the urine magically leaked out and refunded my money because I complained about a signature. I have and will continue as a EI inspector a canary treating with many mds and vet to use other labs I am contracted with Paul is an arrogant petulant little man with no clue to the laws of the ADA or decent business. Texas AG can figure out it all in weedoggie texas while I treat for cancer. Such a lack of profe and empathy maybe one of the women in his life will get ovarian cancer and he will grow a set of well human decency

The instructions were clear and the results were clear. RealTime Labs did what they were going to do in the time they said they would do it. What more can you ask for.

The kit did not include the collection cup. It's also been over a week and a half since I sent in the sample and I have not gotten my results yet.

Was disappointed that your webpage that offers coupon never came through. Entered email and submitted as directed. Did it twice. Other than that, all was good and directions for capturing specimen were clear.

Fantastic...easy test, fast response time, good customer service and Dr Matt called me right when I requested explaining results; he did not rush me at all giving helpful answers along with very good advice. Thanks for taking such thorough care of your patients! Definitely recommend

I WOULD HAVE GAVE REALTIME LABS 5 STARS BUT I HAVE CALLED 2 TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES FOR SOMEONE TO RETURN MY CALL SINCE NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. NO ONE BOTHERED TO RETURN MY CALL. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUT AS FAR AS I KNOW THEIR LAB WORK IS GOOD. THEY DO SEND THE RESULTS VERY QUICKLY.

My husband and I were traveling out of the country and needed a specific CoVid test completed within 3 days of travel to enter the country. RealTime offered an approved test, so we drove down on a Saturday morning. We arrived a little early and were both tested before our initial, individual appointment times which was awesome. We received our test results via email long before the 48 hour promised window which was awesome as well!! The test was not too painful and the administrator was sweet and attentive to our questions. My only complaint is that communications via phone and email are poor...but we got what we needed and had no trouble entering the country with the document that was emailed. Would definitely recommend this company...just don't expect answered calls or emails. ;)

You never sent the results. I had to email and ask for them as I couldn't reach you by phone.
