The purchasing process was smooth and the prices were competitive. Unfortunately, there is a delivery issue that has been ongoing for two months. The store refuses to take responsibility and keeps shifting the matter onto the courier. I do not recommend this store. As of now, the issue remains unresolved.

So you buy yourself a sneaky pre-Christmas present, a special bottle of single malt whisky you’ve been wanting to try. But you know it’s holiday time and there’s a good chance it might be a day or two late…

There could be:
• a mixup of available stock and clarity of whats on special - and there is.
• transport and delivery unpredictability - and that happens too.
• a higher chance of breakages at this time of year - it happens.
• christmas holiday hours often get in the way of promises and assurances - and they do.
• and it goes on for over two weeks. Christmas comes and goes, no problem…but your mind plays tricks on you - you can actually taste this amazing peated whiskey on the back of your tongue - but you actually haven’t.
• So the new year arrives and you’re now a bit hacked off and a little bored. And you say so. It been over 2 weeks of slipping through the cracks and so you write a honest 'Dear John’ letter. Its frank, and maybe a little cutting, with a soupçon of humour - it’s received. You want your money back! You assume its all over and thats that, you’ll move on and go somewhere else for your hooch. It might not be as good, more expensive and dare I say it, it might even have to be Amazon…again. But at least you’ll have your dram...at last. If they sell it.

But it's not over.
Somebody hears. They step up to the plate, they take it on the chin, they even thank you for being tolerant and honest… and they do it in a way many modern companies don’t anymore. You are impressed. It's over.

Alex thank you - I thought we had lost you to the dark side of modern online retail antics - but we haven’t. It was just Christmas, Christmas with a Grinch.

You went above and beyond in the end. Well done and thank you.

Had a drama with the delivery going missing due to couriers fault. These guys sorted it within a couple of days and resent the order.
