happy to unhappy and Epson don't care

We've been happy Epson Readyprint customers until September 2024 when suddenly the courier stopped delivering to our address and simply dropped off at a collection point 17km away. I have had constant communications with Epson support about this where they have told me to refuse those parcels and they will send new inks with explicit instructions for home delivery as per prior 3 years. No inks have arrived in the past 8 months despite continuing charges every month. Last call to support I was instructed that inks are dropped at nearest collection point, take it or leave it. So, I've cancelled this service which has become appalling

UnAuthorized Payment

I went on the site, and it looked interesting. Epson debited my bank account for $313.41 before sending over the contract. I thought that I was purchasing a printer until I read that I could never own it; I never signed the lease agreement that they sent to me. I called the company to ask how they can take money before a contract is even sent. Customer Service Rep stated that it was my bank that put a hold on my card for the money and not them and there was nothing that they could do about it. Called my bank was told that the merchant put the charge through on their end. My account was debited on Sunday, it's Wednesday and I'm still waiting. Not good business to take money before a contract is even sent out!!!!

Unbelievable

Unbelievable. Purchased a brand new Epsom Printer, notified free ink for three months when you sign up. Great deal so I started the process. So you are restricted to pages printed this determines your subscription cost. I’m 60 and use about 30 pages every three months so I went for the 30 page subscription and set up a Direct Debit. I was immediately invoiced for a months subscription, so what happened to the free three months, I was unhappy as I felt It was misleading. So tried to cancel the subscription. I couldn’t because I owe them a month subscription. By this time I was a bit angry and phoned Their customer services, totally useless and thus started a long convoluted series of E mails to get the subscription canceled. Overall don’t sign up for ink. Get it from Amazon. Very disappointing, having said all this the printer is fantastic.

Totally Inaccurate and records double your print count- be warned

Readyprint subscription service is good in principle but totally inaccurate in their print count in reality.

I started to notice this gradually as I had to keep increasing my allowance, and then realised it was their system at fault. I restarted a subscription several times, to prove it to them- printed one test page and it recorded 2- and they did nothing and said it was fine. I have written to them over and over, increasing my subscription to 100. I then started to pay even closer attention to whenever I printed, and to the updates (which happens later and is the excuse they use to say why it shows different), making sure I printed nothing in between for a few days, and it is recording EXACTLY DOUBLE the amount I print. The carry forwards are also inaccurate- that is simple maths! I have written to them one last time, and if they do not resolve (which I doubt as it seems a very technical internal error on their part), I will look into how I can have them investigated externally, as I believe thousands of customers must have the same issue and have either not realised, thinking they printed more than they thought (like me initially) or they are being ignored by the company.

Won't let you cancel your Readyink contract

They are great at registering you for Readyprint, and really helpful at this stage. But they won't let you cancel your account online (permanent error message), leave you listening to music for 40 minutes every time you call to ask for assistance, and don't return your calls when they say they will. Really disappointing and unprofessional. It will stop me buying another Epsom printer in the future and stop me signing up to their ink service.

Beware Readyprint membership

I took out a contract for ink and my printer was faulty so I thought I had cancelled my contract and cancelled my direct debit. Turned out I hadn’t. When I got a replacement printer 6 months later and signed up for ready print I was told that I had a contract still so had to cancel that and create a new one for the new printer. They then debited 7 payments to. Over the previous 6 months and the first payment of the new contract. I complained to them saying I should not be paying fir a service which I did not receive. They countered to say it is like gym membership and it is up to me to use the service.
